Sounds good. E-Shake accepted.

I know the Texas Rangers up and down, backwards and forwards but I'll be the first to admit I know very little about other teams in baseball except for the big stars so my ability to discuss baseball beyond the home team is pretty limited. Just being real with everyone on here.

Good stuff.

You know texas better than i so i'll ask - are they going to squander another opportunity to win a title this year?

Ok, i realise that was a loaded question. My fault. Heres a better question, are they going to give josh a long term deal.?

It will be interesting to see if there are relapse clauses in the contract.

I think they have a great shot but from a competitive stand point it's not a lock by any stretch. Josh certainly has alot of comfort in DFW, and why wouldn't he? His fans and teammates obviously adore him. It's been said that him and Ron Washington will sit together alone often and discuss their past drug issues and how they are coping and getting by. I am sure this brings Josh alot of comfort too, he has alot of respect for his coach I would assume.

My gut feeling is that, in the end, he will not accept a "hometown discount" unless the money is pretty negligible. His wife seems to be very religious and seems to have an interest in using her resources to help others. She has been asked about the contract situation and it looks like the money and how she can use it to help others in need will weigh extremely heavy in this whole process. Basically I read that as whoever brings the most money to the table will probably end up landing Hamilton's next contract.

Since Holliday knocked in Furcal, and the American League was scoreless, I think it's safe to say that the Cardinals won the All Star Game this year.

Sure they should give him a new deal.  With relapse clauses.

I think they will.  But there might be another team out them who wants him on their team so bad, they may be willing to forego it to land him.

Baseball is about to get fun - we're entering the period where we get a real idea of what these teams are.

He will be well rested for the playoffs.   Yankees will be fine until then.

We knew that contract was going to suck.  Blame Levine and Co.

At least the $$ of the contract were front loaded, so that they Yankees could use the new stadium costs credits against it to avoid the luxury tax.

Yup.  I think we'll be fine, with a few bit pieces being added to get to the playoffs.

Would LOVE them to take a shot at Greinke though.

Correct again.

He's got serious social anxiety disorders which the seemed to have fixed with medications.  He had mentioned early in KC not wanting to pitch in NY.   When he got sick of losing in KC, he was given permission from the team to meet with Cashman and express his desire to play there.

Yankees felt he was just saying that to get out of KC.

Hamels got his payday yesterday.   6/144!

Lee only if Philly eats half the money -agreed.   Greinke's the man.  Or Josh Johnson from FLA, but Texas will grab one of these guys.

By the way, let me share my favorite two Yankee blogs:  riveraveblues.com and yankees.lhblogs.com    good stuff there.

He was always all roids.  He is naturally a .275-280 hitter at about 25-30 HRs and 80-95 rbi's.  The Yankees paid for the juiced, Texas Arod.

They got the ARod they thought they would from 2004-2009.  He was elite.

Yes, but what year did he hold that steroids press conference?  I guarantee you that he took steroids all the way up until he had that press conference.  He lied when he said that he only used in Texas.

I assume every player is on steroids.

Except Mariano Rivera and Jeter.

Mariano's power is derived from aliens, while Jeter's is from a steady supply of new pussy.   Notice how bad he was when his relationship with Minka Kelly got serious.

Greinke to Anaheim.  Incredible pitching staff on that team.
