That’s cool.
Did Frank work a territory near you years ago?
I remember WCW brought him in for a one-night appearance. The poor guy could barely walk, but he still came out in his cape & helmet. The show must have been in his home town because quite a few people appeared to know who he was & actually cheered him. I'm sure it made him feel good.
By all accounts, he wasn’t too good a worker in the ring – he’d call some spots after they happened. And he never worked in any big money programs.
Bobby Heenan was friends with him and said that Frank had a great love for the circus. He used to dream of performing with them. In fact, at the end of a lot of his matches (which always saw Frank’s boots staring at the ceiling) he'd often whisper to himself, “Shot out of the cannon.”
Bobby said Frank had more than a few odd ways about him, but was a really great guy.
