I know there are, but my post was bringing light to the fact that if you live in well over 1-2 acres of land, your mansion should have enough yard space surrounding it (all corners), so that your neighbor's smoke should not be much of an issue.

In other words, unless you live in a normal neighborhood where your neighbor's home is immediately next to yours (as in 20-25 feet away at most), then you shouldn't have this issue.

So, with what you have said before, I would expect you to live in a home that resembles this:

This is what I don't understand about this thread...

I mean you really would have to be in sight of the person smoking as in at scent you would be able to move to a spot and see the perpetrator.

...consider wind factors also... consider being indoors with a window open... what are the chances of the smoke actually making it inside the house to the room you are in...?

Smoke also moving upwards... I could understand if you lived in an apartment and the people below you were smoking. Perhaps somebody you live with?
