Deputy Sheriff...but we had to do a 8 week tour at each capacity...jail, courthouse as well to learn the system.

Exactly, you shoud see what they do when they try to extract someone from their cell after the prisoner has thrown urine or feces on the guards.

Poor titus, bodybuilding is a thing of the past for him. Despite the very unfortunate events that happened to him and his wife, we fear that it's just the beginning. there is a family who is still mourning their lovely departed, and justice will come out naked. In my opinion, I think he will get about 30 or so years if convicted. don't know what his wife would get. but I fear that he's not coming out of this mess free of charges

There's more to the story. Either the treatment is in response to the (supposed) recently discovered jail-break plans, or the lead officer has determined that Titus is a threat for some other reason. So much pre-unreleased information will come out during the trial, it may make sense then.
By the way, Titus really blew it when he dumped Boozang. His best chances dissolved at that point.
And, yes, the changes to his physique would be amazing to some.

Those photos could have been taken so that Craig could not make false claims about his treatment.

My first reaction would be to try to ascertain a need these deputies might have for a website. A home business, maybe to promote their hobby, or perhaps to sell leaked photos they take of incarcerated C-list junkie sports celebrities.

It is completely an intimidation of titus. We know that he had nothing to do with an escape period. The airducts had nothing to do with him, or anyone that knew him.
They are just showboating that the LVPD and CCDC can at least do one thing according to procedure. Everything else they did is cowboy, bullshit.

I know plenty of guys how work at prisons and they brag all the time about how they beat the fuck out of the prisoners for no reason. Doesn't matter if the guys it guilty or not. From the look on Craigs eyes he thought how was goin to die. That kind of treament is big time overkill. Yep, real proud of them guys. ::) Now, it's not that I'm sticking up for Craig, but like Bob said, this is pretty standard treatment. In fact, it gets way worse than that and that's the stuff that they don't film.

they are restraining him to get ready to 4 way him which is where they restrain him to a bed. they do this so he won't harm himself or to keep him from destroying property ect. the usually give them a gown of some sort but nothing else can be in the cell that they can hurt themselves..including clothes that they might use to hang themselves with. its pretty common thing.

My small town has about 4 max. security prisons in the area and I play ball with guys who work on the inside. The stories I hear. I think I would rather die than serve time inside those walls.

The article says that Titus is suspected of planning an escape attempt and a plot to kill witnesses. I'm guessing the blindfold is so that he doesn't learn any more than necessary about the layout of the prison. Here's a quote from the article:
"Titus is a suspect in what authorities have described as a plot to kill three witnesses in his case. A friend of Titus, Nelson Brady Jr., has been charged with paying an undercover detective to kill the witnesses.
Authorities have voiced suspicions that Titus orchestrated the plot from the Clark County Detention Center, but he has not been charged.
Authorities said earlier this year that Titus approached a corrections officer and inquired about how to get a corrections uniform in what has been described as a possible escape attempt."

As the handcuffs are removed, a red dot from a Taser laser is flashed on the wall, and Titus is asked whether he knows what the dot is. Titus says he does, and then he is told to remain still. Officers leave the cell, and Titus is pictured naked, sitting up on the bunk.

Stay on track here, people. If Craig is going to "do damage" and come in "better than ever" with a package "that nobody has ever seen" he has a bit of work to do. The red beans and rice diet doesn't seem to be bringing out the best in his physique. And dayum, that tan will never do. He needs to make some arrangements to get out in the yard a bit more. It's like when you see a video of cops throwing someone to the ground and handcuffing them, but you don't see the criminal robbing the convenience store, shooting the clerk, and leading the cops on a high speed chase.
According to that story, Titus has been a problem inmate.
I'm still waiting to hear the kind, gentle way of dealing with violent criminals.

After reviewing the pictures and based on my own personal experience as a detention officer, I find that some portions of this incident is out of general protocol that correctional officers would normally use and for the following reasons.
1. Titus having a blindfold on is very unusual except in the instance of a possible retalitation against fellow officers. However, the riot gear generally prevents accurate identification. If anything, a gag for his mouth should have been used as well.
2. The video camera is mandatory however the videos are generally not released to the public.
3. Having Titus cuffed ass naked is not a standard practice and generally if there was a risk of him commiting suicide than the standard suicide smock would be issued. If they were afraid of weapons then a body cavity search can always be conductd unless he was unruley
4. Titus was in a restraint chair but was then placed in a motorcycle afterwards. A department generally uses one or the other but not both. Once a person is restrained in one way, its generally not changed until the incident that prompted restraint has passed due to the fact that no officer wishes to go through the trouble of restrainting a wild inmate again. Generally his chair should have been simply wheeled into his cell and that should have been the end of it.
Now, Las Vegas may have different laws from SC but I feel that this act was intended to publicity embarrass Titus. Nevertheless, he's a cold blood killer who tasered, beat, and drugged a woman to death and set her ass on fire in the middle of the desert.

As someone who has worked in that capacity, I can assure you this isn't the least unusual or out of the ordinary.
I have to totally disagree with you. They accused him in open court of murder for hire, no charge. Accuse him of escape, twice nonetheless and no charge. This is B.S... They have a hard on for CT. Period.

I've known a couple of guys who who don't mind being incarcerated in the least. In fact repeat offender openly admitted that he was looking foreward to going back inside because he got three meals a day, a roof over his head, and "great recreational facilities" and didn't have to work for a living. And all this at someone else's expense.
And he claimes that he is not the only guy in prison who thinks this way.
So, I am one of those guys who is not shocked and who believes that prison life should be as tuff as possible and definitely not an "enjoyable" experience or something that anyone should look foreward to.
And I also believe that those in prison (or awaiting trial) are treated respectfuly by the guards unless that person acts in such a manner that requires otherwise.
We don't have the full story here but from what I hear from those who know Titus personally, he more than likely did something to deserve and/or require the treatment as shown in these photos.
I don't believe anyone in their right mind would do anything to a person awaiting trial that could possibly hinder the legal process of that trial, so there will be justifiable reason/explanation for that treatment coming forth shortly or during the court proceedings. (I hope that that won't be necessarry.)
But no matter what the reason, the defense attorney will/should take advantage of this situation and run with it.
In America it is always better to blame someone other than the guilty party even if that person followed due process or was the murder victim herself.
This is going to be an itneresting case come April. I hope to attend personally to observe the legal process.

The lack of accountability is what bothers people. Any CO with a grudge can have a guy beaten/roughed up. A prisoner could be a good guy, but if the insecure CO had the urge (let's say the prisoner owned him on message boards a thousand times), there could suddenly be a flurry of "tips" and the prisoner would be abused daily like this.
Monster opportunities for abuse of power. And anyone who says COs are the model for mental capacity, good judgment, and ability to control their emotions only need to look at our two resident getbig ex-Cos...

Secondly, that's the price you pay when you're incarcerated...If Titus was sitting at home making websites for $300 instead of sitting in Jail on Murder and conspiracy to commit murder charges...we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Third, you don't know the facts...so anything you put out there is pure speculation...and of course..you take Titus' side.

The use of a restraint chair is basicly the last straw.I just got cerified as a CO and have worked in a correctional facility for only 5 months but i've seen the chair used and straped down an inmate in it a few times.Its used only for the most noncompliant inmates and can not be used as a form of punishment.just looking at the still frame they look like there doing it by the book.Unless you have dealt with individuels who have nothing to lose you have no idea what its like.

Guards are threatened all the time. If CT had this coming, he wouldn't have acted so damn shocked. you all make it sound like this happens everyday. He's been in there a year, and he looked like he never saw such a thing. And I don't hold every guard to blame, they have to take orders. The word in vegas is that this was a practice extraction for newby's. I could be wrong, but that's what I heard. Might as well pick a monster lookin guy like Titus.

You see that picture, those fellas are more dangerous than a grizzley bear. I worked for 2 yrs with these fella's and never, I mean never hit one. they would bite off their pinky fingers, pull off their nipples and poke out their eyes.
Never ever restrained one with a jacket. We used our heads, not our muscle.

You're forgetting Craig is charged with not only murder and kidnapping but TORCHING a woman who was found duct taped in the trunk of Kelly's car. "cannot be treated like he has" How do you know how he's been treated? His own lawyer has said he was a "model inmate" according to police and treated well until recently.
Again you have no clue what he's said or done in jail. Mind you, he "jokingly" asked a guard where he could get a uniform. If he had been beaten while bound and blindfolded, then it's a different story. He was simply moved and stripped naked, only thing it did was remind Craig of the world of shit he is in and that he's not invincible. What "Consitutional Right" did it violate and when you commit a crime you give up your rights.

They sign a receipt acknowledging that they will follow the rules and regs while in custody, and acknowledging they understand the penalties as well. if they cannot read, we have a video version that tells them the same thing.
If the inmate is an escape risk, or history of violence, or threatened violence against staff, then we will move that inmate in a similar manner. Not the strip search (unless authorized by supervisors) or restraint chair (unless combative). We also videotape our cell extractions. Again, we don't know the story behind the video, so we can't thoroughly defend either Titus or the Officers.

He was not combative, never had a history of it in jail, and the flight risks were trumped up. He was in solitary for heaven sakes. Also, he is in vegas and ratted out some dope dealers. Metro here is notorious for corruption. You are not in vegas: hence, you may not be a cowboy. These Metro cops here are always being investigated by the FBI.

- It should be mentioned that Mr. Titus was indeed very complaint with all procedures involved.
- Somehow, throughout the entire ordeal, I kept picturing Ashton Kutcher popping out of some closet to only then remove the blindfold from Craig's eyes and yell, "You got punk'd Bitch!"
- Sadly, I do feel sorry for Craig or anyone who is put through that ordeal. I know that breaking the law and, in this case, murder are not to be dealt with loosely, but at some point there should be a better way.

I took nothing for:
1. Airfare
2. Hotel
3. Car Rental
4. Gas
5. Food
6. eBay Fees
7. Pay Pal Fees
8. Loading tons of dumbbells up to 190’s
9. Tidying up the rental house
10. My time
It ran well over a grand. I was also a good steward with my resources…
cheaper airfare, cockroach hotel, no-frills rental car, etc., etc.
I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Good post. Any one read Sam Harris's "End of Faith "? It should be read by required reading for all Americans. Religion and its' extremists and ignorant moderates are going to destroy us all. Get active people, start denouncing religious extremists, christian or muslim, they all believe and preach violence. Dont' let them tell you any different. These people believe in the literal word of the bible and koran, which is all about killing non believers. Get active dudes.

Communism and other destructive movements were based on religious irrationality and belief without evidence. They just took the God part out but continued with irrational myths. YOu are right that religion will always be here but it should be in the hand of moderates not extremists and literalists. These people are nuts and everyone is afraid to say so. Their beliefs are causing more destruction in this world with no evidence. As far as Islam goes there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim, there isn't one page in the Koran that doesn't encourage the destruction of non-believers. There have been more sitings of Bigfoot than of "moderate" Muslims.

i agree we need to get rid of extremists, and i agree that religious people need to take the true ideals of what is called religion. the books have the premise right, people dont follow them. one law or rule that would end world hunger, violence etc is contained in the books and is the most noble truth of all, do on to others as you would have them do onto you. if we all followed this the world would be much better. however, i disagree, i beleive beleif in a is good for man, as it gives hope, and for alot it makes for better people. you are making a sweeping generalization which is pure ignorance. likening god to mickey mouse shows your ignorance even more. chruchs are inventions used for control not religions, and people running chruches are crooks. if they were so concerned about humanity why not sell the chruch(they are pretty extravegent) to feed the poor.
