Title: Playboy Playmate doesn't like men overly muscular
Post by: hifrommike on May 05, 2007, 03:51:21 PM
I first read a Playmate say something to this effect a couple years ago.  The new data sheet (written in the model's own handwriting) in the June 2007 issue said basically the same thing.  There are "likes" & "dislikes" sections, & under dislikes, she says, "men who are overly muscular."  WHY is this being said?  What's up with these beautiful women disliking bodybuilding men?

because they're insecure pussies who pay more attention to their reflection in the mirror than the world that surrounds them.

plus big muscles - blatant faggotry.

Considering we live in an age where 80%+ of the people out there are out-of-shape fatasses, I'm actually surprised this would even be a consideration for most women.  I mean seriously, does this chick get hit on by "overly muscular" men frequently enough that she feels compelled to include this in a list of general likes and dislikes?  ::)

I think it has to do with what the "media" markets as attractive.

People are sheep, so when they are told that Vin Diesel is "huge", they believe it. And accept it.

So anyone bigger than what they are told to like, is unacceptable.

Vin Diesel is huge.  Otherwise he couldn't pull off the name Vin Diesel.

Yea, most women think that Brad Pitt is the ultimate male body when the guy probably weighs a buck 60.  Women think that abs and shoulders make a good body.  I know women that hate vascularity, which is something you cannot control unless you become morbidly obese

so you agree it's super gay for people to pursue the "ultimate body" according to other males than females?  i'd rather have the ultimate body for a chick than some queer thinking i look super bad ass cuz i'm vascular.

Women lie when it comes to  the "dislikes and likes" interview.

They say they like a gentleman, etc, etc. Then you look at who they are dating...the opposite of what they say.

This woman probably dated a bber and he f'd her over...

When in Vegas, go to REHAB at the Hard Rock on sundays and tell me whos gettin play.Put it this way.... They dont even let fat people in. You gotta have at least 4 abs to get in that bitch. 2000 girls, 1000 guys. That bitch would be hard on my jock out there. Skinny dudes have nothing on my shreddedness

like everything else in life, there is a balance (happy medium) and personal preference

i can tell you from experience when i was 150lbs i did not get as much attention from women as when i was 215

and when i was 215 i did not get nearly as much attention from women as when i was 185

thats from a purely aesthetical viewpoint, the main fan base of people with ifbb level muscularity are ... FAGS ... this realization lead me away from bb ... not to say women cant or dont like big boys, i mean you can become attracted to anything especially if you are bigger then your avgerage chick... but on the whole when oyu have too much muscle you limit your attractiveness to the oppostite sex

now women are def attracted to powerful men, and muscles convey that image, but at the same time women are also attracted to confident men, and too much muscle says youre making up for something (not to mention the thongs and crying when your ass looks fat)

Possibly, I remember in college having a MuscleMag  (the one where Flex just won the 1997 Arnold), and the women in class were looking thru it. They said that the guys were disgusting. Yet one of my friends was pulling said women right and left and he was huge and shredded...

Could part of it be that some women are intimidated by bodybuilders because they fear being overpowered by them too easily?

Your average IFBB'er or NPC douche isn't 215, he's 250+.

Your average gym rat recreational bodybuilder would be around 200 if he dieted down, but is usually 240 at 20%+ bodyfat.

Could these be the "bodybuilders" women claim not to like?  In my experience, I've gotten much more attention from women at 200-210# lean than I got a decade ago at 185# out-of-shape.

She knows there are no wealthy men who are "overly muscular". I've read a few playboys, and they really try to make it seem like only wealthy executives read their magazine. Articles with bullshit like "Any real man will listen to anything by Queen Latifah".
Title: Re: Playboy Playmate doesn't like men overly muscular

pimpins easy... you either got it or ya don't. being lean with abs at any weight usually helps. But over 210lbs for guy whos 5'10 is pushin it. Then girls and guys start sayin all steroids. But fitness chicks will still jock. Only problem is there normally just as conceited, if not worse then the guy. When shirts come off, so do the Britling watches and 200 dollar jeans. When in boardshorts, the bodybuilder has the advantage.

Only up to a point.  With the exception of gold-digging bitches (who are more common in some cities and some industries than others), most women are only interested in a guy being at least in the same socioeconomic group (or better) than they are.  So yeah, a woman from an upper middle-class background who herself has an education and income probably isn't going to be interested in a high-school graduate working construction or as a bartender, but beyond the superficial "price of entry" income level, other things matter to them more.

Well, it's all really relative. If the world population all looked like ronnie coleman, there'd be nothing at all impressive about it. If all males were brad pitt, he wouldnt be skinny. He would just be ''average''.
Everyone has a different view, different way they look at things.

It's not really fair to always complain about the fact people think x bodybuilder is overly muscular. They ARE, relative to the person they like, ie. Brad Pitt.

Men are assosiated with muscles generally, women their tits and ass....doesnt mean everyone prefers a woman with ''huge'' ass and huge breasts just for that, can be the opposite.

Well, I think it also depends on how women view themselves. I have been on dates with "thick" women ( 5'4 and a size 8 for instance) and said women were constantly feeling on my arms. I then noticed that many "thick" women like muscular guys, I think because they are insecure with their own bodies and a muscular guy is the opposite or ideal to them. Kinda like how short women like tall guys...

There's still a stereotype kicking around that big guys are: stupid, spend too much time in the gym and so are not relationship material, are financially insecure, and are narcissistic.  And yeah, some women are physically intimidated by too much size.

Of course, after talking to big jimmy for five mins, that stereotype would have been kicked out the window.   :)

Judi, I should have clarified. More than likely it wasn't even "her" own opinion.  That crap is written by staff writers, (potentially even some geeky guy  :o) keeping in mind who the market is, and ensuring that there is enough variety within each monthly profile, and yet in keeping with the "glass of milk" portrayal of sexuality. (Much like Bluto's kind of middle of the road take on what's hot.)  With roughly 6 1/2 million circ... chances are most of the market is your average, slightly to more overweight, non-muscled guy. The guys want to be told how hot they are to these women... it helps with the visualization.   ;)

i do not think the stupid stereotype(althogh true) is necessarily the root of the problem as most women simply do not find overly muscled guys visually stimulating ... when i did my "market research" it was in torontos club district where intelligence isnt exactly a prereq

id also like to point out that i do not know many guys (and most of my friends could be considered old) who actually use playboy as stroking material ... the old joke about reading it for the articles is starting to hold true as internet porn has spoiled us all and playboy is heading in the maxim direction

That's like Ali Larter. She has said that she doesn't like a guy who goes to the gym all the time to keep up with his body. I don't get that shit, but whatever.

Of course she doesnt. Most women dont. Just as they dont want to fight over the bathroom in the morning either.

I think the only women who like your physique are the ones that are fat themselves and feel comfortable with being with a guy that is outta shape so they dont feel pressured to care about their looks, can eat what they want etc.

Since fat women are very common, that means you have a pretty good chance of hooking up with girls. Congratulations!

hahahahah, exactly Jimmy, "bluto' is the type of "man" who goes hunting at the bulemia rehab clinics for 102 pound twinks that can make his 134 pound "physique" look muscular, BTW i have pictures of bluto from another board he posts on, you have to see what a geek this guy is in real life, PM me.

.

i do not think the stupid stereotype(althogh true) is necessarily the root of the problem as most women simply do not find overly muscled guys visually stimulating ... when i did my "market research" it was in torontos club district where intelligence isnt exactly a prereq

id also like to point out that i do not know many guys (and most of my friends could be considered old) who actually use playboy as stroking material ... the old joke about reading it for the articles is starting to hold true as internet porn has spoiled us all and playboy is heading in the maxim direction

Just because it was in her handwriting, doesn't mean she "composed" the words.  ;)

I agree with you that playboy is slipping (the numbers show it) in terms of providing stroking material to the average male, and the company is now moving into other, more lucrative areas of the business.  However, as far as the mag itself goes, apparently Hef is determined to keep the image of what always has been the typical playmate intact. You'll never find any heavy dom or bondage scene... the playboy playmate is demure, accomodating, sexy, but not overly slutty. The profiles always reflect that.  Makes even more sense if you're really trying to focus your mag toward the quality of the articles, not the sex.  And, in terms of stroking material, bodybuilders make up a small proportion of the populace as it is, much less those who use Playboy as stroking or daydreaming material, so it wouldn't really help sales to cater to this crowd.

 :-X on your market research.

my reference to maxim was as a move towards even less sexuality ... i never read playboy but i recall an article to that effect on yahoo.com last year

What's up with these beautiful women disliking bodybuilding men?

so basically you are saying that their ideal man is Squadfather?

Back to the subject I started on this string.  Just heard a song by Terri Clark that goes, "Easy on the eyes / Hard on the heart."  That may be a stereotype that continues to perpetuate itself about big bodybuilders.  I don't think it's true, & know a lot of guys who are happily partnered (either married to or with the same woman for a long time), but we're talking perception, not reality.

BTW, PLAYBOY has long maintained that their Playmate data sheets are exactly what the model wrote, & are not dictated by company policy.  ALL of the models don't say that bodybuilders are turnoffs.  But the main thing the models knock about men, when mentioned as "dislikes," are things like bad breath, arrogance, stupidity, unshaved chests, etc., so I thought it was interesting that "too many muscles" or "overly muscular" got mentioned twice in a period of about two years (the last time was fall 2005).

Like I said, if you look at most good looking women in the 18-25 range, most are with skinny (with visible abs) or beer gut boys with big arms.  It is true.  For the models, you think that they want a guy who gets more attention than them?  Women compete with each other ALL the time.  Ask Blockhead, he tells it straight.  You think they want to compete with their man for attention?

Yea, most women think that Brad Pitt is the ultimate male body when the guy probably weighs a buck 60.  Women think that abs and shoulders make a good body.  I know women that hate vascularity, which is something you cannot control unless you become morbidly obese

It is just how it is i suppose.

Women in general are repulsed by the Pro Bodybuilding physique.  They always have been and always will be!

Women prefer there men lean and athletic.  They like tall guys, cashed up and with a six pack.

Sorry to offend you roid munchers with the truth.

im quite muscular but a lean 5.7 160 and am getin lots of attention, being lean helps. also its bs when girls say they dont like muscular, theres a 1% chance she gonna meet jay cutler, so the muscle guys she does see tend to be in the 30% + bf club, u know them squadfather types, but if u lean with a bit of muscle, ull beat any skinny dude to the pussy, pullin pussy aint about having the perfect body, u need game, but a good body will help.

I'm telling you....being skinny or have beer guts with decent arms of course is more likely to get you laid than if you are ripped.  Women are stupid.  Any sign of vascularity (even in forearms) is too ripped.  Basically then want a guy with abs, not obese and good arms to think it is sexy.  Skip La Cour would freak most bitches out.

single digit bf%,,31-32 inch wait,,wide shoulders,,sculpted developed muscles,,200lb at 5'9-5'10-5'11 or more if taller,,good face,,

thats where the girls get quiet when you get in the room or stand next to them,,thats where sexual tention is at the highest point for them and make them very uncomfy,,

the whores ofcourse try to do anything to get your attention,,but the normal girls get very quiet at the above status

I know there are 3 things that women def don't like:

1. screwing hookers
2. going on beastiality sites
3. living at home with parents

Just look like Brad Pitt and get laid.

Pretty much except most men aren't getting to single digit and staying there for long.

Yea, most women think that Brad Pitt is the ultimate male body when the guy probably weighs a buck 60.  Women think that abs and shoulders make a good body.  I know women that hate vascularity, which is something you cannot control unless you become morbidly obese
Lots of women like some size but the wrapping has to be right-no sprayed on t-shirt, no musclehead crap, no stupid imaginary lat syndrome, no extreme self-consciousness & narcissism, no walking around wearing stupid pants holding a water bottle, don't look like a refrigerator.

Muscles in an athletic, lean way, a little modesty & taste, etc.

thats quite true as well, there is something about a guy being more into his looks than a girl that really rubs women the wrong way

100% difference if a self-absorbed muscle head vs. a good physique on someone looking and acting normal.

Well It's  ALL  about attitude.

If you look like Brad pitt or Jay Cutler if you are a preening douchebag it will turn off most women, except the truly superficial who are attacted to that behavior.

At my biggest I was a solid 250+  and never had any problems with women. And the reason is (I think) that I wouldn't be caught dead in public sporting some idiotic shiny tight T-shirt.

The closest thing i have to that is a short sleeve collared Polo shirt.

Ps I also think the chick is full of shit.  All women say they think big muscle dudes are gross, just like they say they would never fuck a black guy :-X,

and money doesn't matter :-\

or dick size :o

or they want a nice guy :-*

and then they do exactly the opposite. It's the Female condition

The bitch only orders grey goose.  I could give her smirnoff and she wouldn't know the difference.

I got this bottle of grey goose as a gift.  After downing it I filled it up with no name vodka from Trader Joes.  Whent he bitches are over they see me pouring out the "grey goose" into the martini glasses and get all hot.  I have yet to hear on bitch notice the difference in taste.

Face it, the majority of women like the 130lb needledick fratboys.  I forget who said it, but when women like your physique its time to go to the gym

Lots like a good physique just presented more naturally not insanely vascular or drug-induced hugeness covered with oil as shown in the mags and without the muscle-head mentality or stereotype BB clothes. Years ago a girl i was dating would actually ask me to flex and then start kissing the bis :o LOL

Why do you encourage thick women ? You go on a date with them is saying its ok to be thick as you put it (fat for us white guys)

It is okay for a woman to have a little more "cushion". There is something earthy (goddess like) and sexy about a woman with curves, especially when they are exaggerated (read  "cushion")

When I say  "thick" as I mean Voluptuous, like Anna Nicole Smith (during her guess years) or Anna Nicole Carson (black chick from Ally McBeal), or Bea Flora. 5'4 and a size 8 (that is roughly 135 pounds), with a flat stomach is not fat. I either like them petite or thick and shapely.

But I have found out, that the women who are petite, don't like muscular guys, but the women who are thick, like muscular guys. Voluptuous women straddle a fence between in shape and fat. Therefore the image that they have of themselves is not that of a "in shape girl", but that of a fat girl. The biggest problem with Voluptuous women is that if they get pregnant, the weight she's gained will be harder for her lose.

What I CANT stand now, is very fat women like Mo'Nique who truly encourage fat women by having F.A.T. contests. This is just a mass denial of the fact that one need to loose weight, but because losing weight takes time, effort, and discipline, its better to say, "I don't need to change, the world needs to change to suite my needs".

I don't understand why people cannot find a "happy medium". Not skinny, not fat ,but like Godilockssaid, "Just Right" 8).

We can't even really find that in the bbing world...

This has been my unproven theory, that bigger more voluptuous girls with more hormones like bigger guys. Seems that way.

I find that to be true.

The majority of LTR's Iv'e had were with women with a little meat on 'em.

Most reed-thin skinny bitches don't like me and I don't like them either.

My wife is built like a BTRA girl and thankfully busted her ass to drop weight after the baby.

Ethnic (read black and latina) women, who tend to be "thick" are like that. As a matter of fact, those women (and the fat ones too) tend to inhabit male strip joints the most ( in the Balt-Wash area, at least) And around my way, you'll see more deisel dudes with voluptous women, not petite women with deisel dudes.

As for PLAYBOY being like MAXIM, not according the the US military.  It doesn't permit "porn mags" to be sent to the Iraqi troops, & includes PLAYBOY in the list of mags that are not permitted.
