Let it go? Your grandpa had to work one friggin job and was able to take care of the entire family: buy a house, put his kids through college, buy a decent-AMERICAN- car, etc.
Your kids (and mine) ain't going to be able to buy jack shit!
You do the math.

this economic implosion validates every fvcked up policy decision that MORON has ever made.
i hope every jackass who voted for bush enjoys the pain they will endure.
btw, if mccain is elected, things will only worsen.

I don't manage all of my $$$
I have a larger account that I give to an advisor and against my better judgement I've stayed in the market when I should have been out last October.
Even if I were all cash in that particular account I would take no joy in the melt-down in the markets.
As I've mentioned before - the real problem is the complete breakdown of the credit markets. This is what's causing most of the current problems (IMO) and I don't see any solution in the near term and it could get a LOT worse.

Well War-Horse, I think it has little to do with wages. It has all to do with wrong policies from the Jurassic period til today. From energy policy to foreign affairs. Not to mention handing the keys of the country's vault to the big corporations. If you criticize this gross mismanagement of our government, the people who MUST respond to us, Americans (and now no longer do,) you're tagged as un-American, so go figure!

sorry you missed my thread on the stock market crash.
i attempted to warn all gbers long before the shit hit the fan.
hopefully..... some got out in time.
I didn't miss it and I haven't lost that much ( ~ 13% from in equity from it's high point and no loss of principal so far)
I just don't see any reason to gloat over anyones losses.
Besides, these problems will effect everyone in one way or another
All this shit rolls down hill

i'm not gloating over average investors losses. if we assume your statement is correct, i would have never started a thread in Nov warning gbers to get out of the market.
i'm only happy it occurred under george bush's watch. bush had hoped the worst would begin only AFTER he left the white house. most professionals involved the financial markets (including myself) could see this collapse coming.......the only question was would it happen under the watch of the man who inititated it, or would another president take the blame as bush snuck out the back door scott free ?
bush's "so called" legacy is offically fvcked now and that puts a smile on my face.

sounds like you need to change advisers. your current one ain't cutting it !

It's a bit more complicated but basically I agree with you. I could have gone flat last October but I acquiesced against my better judgement (in hindsight obviously). It's no a big deal and this is only one account that is long term in nature. I manage all short term stuff myself and that has been almost all cash since last year. It's nothing I'll lose any sleep over.
More to the point of your thread - I don't see the need to take any pleasure in others peoples financial losses.
Also, lot's of people who didn't vote for Bush and didn't get a subprime loan are being harmed. Also, if you're a US citizen then why would you take pleasure in our shared economic woes?

straw, you're missing my point. read the post again. it's clearly an attack on bush's failed policies and the people who supported him.

Well, that is a bigger picture of a corrupt democratic society and runaway capitialism.
Heres a shocker for me. Im looking at my paper in the help wanted section. (I use that to see wht the market is doing). I see bank tellers, warehouse supervisors, auto parts stores, painters, and retail stores hiring. Now ALL OF THEM are showing $8-10 an hour!!!
Now, In 1977 I was 12yrs old. My Dad came home and was excited to start a job at a grocery warehouse as a supervisor and the pay was an incredible $10 an hour!!!
He paid $27,000 for our home. payment around 200 a month. Had a new truck for less than that.
Now 20 yrs later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kids starting out and even skilled workers for the same wage and homes are $270,000 for 1500 a month.
Thats a 100X's increase in home for same wage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Capitialism is a failed system if not controlled....that has been proven. :-\

I agree. Moderated capitalism works. But 'taking the government off our backs' i.e., deregulation of governmental oversight bureaus, opens the door to corruption, wealth inequality and general misery for the bulk of the public. That's the hallmark of the Reagan and Bush administrations.
A totally free market unchecked is nothing more than the law of the jungle. As civilized human beings, we do not want that.
This includes all those supporting the nonsense that anyone can become a millionaire through hard work and income mobility means a better life for all. That's just the propaganda of exploitation put forth by the monied elites.
-
And socialism is a failure...move then if u don't like it. Nobody would miss u.

Yeah that makes sense, lets fudge the Bush administration with an economic theory.
So I guess in your view a hunter and gathering society works best?
Sorry you feel that hard work does not pay off The system of free trade is better than mercantilism, and it has done a great job for past empires.
Nothing is free and that includes a 'free market' economy.

Agreed. If you don't like it move the fuc out, no one is forcing you for your citizenship.

Checks and balances. There needs to be balance between capitalism and socialism, moving moreso towards capitalism.
I don't get all the bitching and moaning about trivial jobs such as retail, warehousing, and manufactoring pay so low. Obtain an education. It's as if people have the mindset of others that they cannot go above and beyond your entry level positions. This isn't 1950 anymore.....you can't be a janitor at a steel mill and expect to buy a house and two cars. You need to move up the economic ladder and to do so, you need to go to school. The US doesn't need to manufacture clothes and other simple materials here......instead, one would manufacture and make much more complex items here. Sadly, even this is going away, rapidly being outsourced to India and China.
Stop blaming everything on the Bush administration. Blame it on the people instead. Nobody forced anyone to get adjustable rate 30 year mortgages on overpriced houses, or put 0 down on a $50,000 car, or obtain credit cards left and right. If people would have saved instead of spending what they don't have to the hilt, we would not be in the kind of predicament we are in now. People don't have money because they are getting killed by interest and multiple payments on credit cards, mortgages, cars, and other appliances.
This mentality is sick. Everytime I stop in a major store, after making my purchase, I am always asked if I want to apply for some sort of credit cards. I get at least 10 offers in the mail each week. Commercials everywhere tell you to extend your credit limit. Every car commercial advertises some sort of 0 down, 0 interest offer. Simple things such as appliances and furniture are also advertised as expecting the buyer to finance them. We now live in a society where there are more (asshole) consultants, brokers, attorneys, and analysts rather than mechanics, plumbers, and other skilled labor trades. This easy credit, spend what you don't have, and borrow to the hilt mentality is now in the culture. Sometimes I feel a bit alienated and am often ridiculed when I state that I do not have debts at all and refuse any kind of loan. My home is paid for. My cars are paid for. My appliances and furniture is paid for. I have one credit card locked in a safe(many of the nicer hotels require you to have one) used for travel and emergency purposes.
Bottom Line: If you are in debt, you are not a free man, but a slave.
-
And socialism is a failure...move then if u don't like it. Nobody would miss u.
Why are you always asking me to leave the country?
Moderated capitalism includes oversight of competition and modest redistribution. We need rules for the game. Otherwise we end up with exploitation, monopolies and unfree markets.
-
...
So I guess in your view a hunter and gathering society works best?
I don't know what you are talking about. Moderated capitalism includes oversight of competition and modest redistribution. We need rules for the game. Otherwise we end up with exploitation, monopolies and unfree markets.
Sorry you feel that hard work does not pay off The system of free trade is better than mercantilism, and it has done a great job for past empires.
I don't know what you are talking about. My dad worked until he died at the age of 39 and all he ever got was more work. I'm not denigrating hard work. Everybody works hard. That's not up for debate. Not everybody gets wealthy from working hard though.
Nothing is free and that includes a 'free market' economy.
Exactly! That's why we need a moderated meritocratic form of capitalism.
Agreed. If you don't like it move the fuc out, no one is forcing you for your citizenship.
So you and HH debate ideas by asking those you disagree with to leave the country? That's kind of dumb. I have as much right to be here as you do.
This is an open political forum where ideas are discussed. You can do that or you can withdraw into your shell shouting, "America, love it or leave it!"

don't blame bush ? then who the F should be blamed ? let's examine SOME of the facts:
1) oil was $26.00 per barrel BEFORE bush invaded iraq for WMD's that never existed.......oil now stands at $106.00 per barrel and continues to rise. I BLAME BUSH !
2) bush deregulated the lending industry to allow predatory, no doc. and unheard of subprime loans. this has resulted in the worst housing crises since the great depression. I BLAME BUSH !
3) the US is forced to borrow 1.5 BILLION dollars per DAY from China to finance bush's BS iraq war. this has helped create an additional 7 TRILLION dollars of dept in only 7 short yrs.(inflationary) prior to bush entering the white house, the national dept with 42 prior presidents COMBINED was just 5 trillion. he has OUTSPENT 42 presidents combined. I BLAME BUSH !
4) under bush, the dollars value has been reduced by 50% in just 7 yrs, resulting in inflation taking off to historic levels........from food to fuel, to everything in between. I BLAME BUSH !
5) gasoline was $1.25 per gallon when bush took office. it now stands close to $4.00 per gallon......and rising. I BLAME BUSH !
6) JB, have you always been a clueless retard ?
NT
PS, i could go on all day about how bush's policies have ruined the US economy, but YOU wouldn't have a F'n clue anyway.
The President as a matter of law has little power to change the economy outside of the power of appointment and the bully pulpit.
However I agree with you that a good portion of the blame belongs to Bush and his lockstep republican majority in the Congress which allowed him to legislate anything he wanted. You, Mr. President, want a war, you got one. You, Mr. President, want to get government off the back of lenders, no problem. You, Mr. President, want billions for your unnecessary war, here you go.
This is a special moment in history where one party and one president have effectively demoralized and undercut the entire country.
Do average americans deserve a portion of the blame? Yeah, some of them. The american population has been conditioned to equate success in life with acquisitive success. I guess that's why the country has a negative savings rate.
The average american is as bad with a checkbook as our federal government.

NT. How low do you think the dow will go?
Is there a chance for other countries to pull the rug out from us by switching from the dollar as currency and leaving us f'd in a major way???
How much longer will the PPT be able to sacrifice its money to hold up a false market??
Do you think bush/cheney will hi-tail it to Paraguay oneday... ;D

i believe the 10,000 level will be tested this year. since markets don't go straight down, we'll continue to have intermittent sucker rallies which will always fail.
the PPT has been working overtime to help avoid a MAJOR crash. with their involvement, the market tends to bleed out at a somewhat slower pace. the PPT cannot stop the inevitable.
with regards to our currency, if the Fed fails to contain inflation (their job) i believe a dollar currency crisis could evolve forcing countries to avoid using our currency completely. some have already begun that practice. (not a good sign)
remember, if the Fed continually lowers interest rates and ignores inflation with the current dollar depreciation.........and couple that with surging oil prices, it will create the perfect storm i've often described.
a severe recession with stagflation would be unavoidable IMHO.

March 5 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke will "destroy the U.S. dollar'' by cutting interest rates, investor Marc Faber said.
Bernanke's reduction in the target rate for overnight loans between banks to 3 percent has spurred a rout in U.S. stocks and gains in oil and gold prices, said Faber.

Listen GI Joe, I myself just paid almost $ 20,000 in federal income taxes this year. I paid taxes in Jersey because I work there. I paid taxes in New York because the company is registered in New York. My commute to work is usually $30 per day. If I buy something, it will be taxed. Now Bloomberg wants to charge me $ 15 for entering Manhattan. Thank God I do not live in Staten Island, cause the Verrazano just went up to $10 each way. Imagine living there and working in Manhattan?: $20 in bridge tolls, $15 for entering Manhattan, $5-10 for gas and $15 for parking. That's a whopping $60 in commuting costs ALONE!
Is it not close to communism?

Move....besides ur paying for all the bullshit social programs.....how many people get a hand out in ur city. I feel bad for u. I bet u wonder where u cash is going. Its easy to blame Bush but if half the hand-outs were cut..I bet ur taxes would go down. National defense/infrastructure/security/education then everybody else has to make do with less. How much of all u pay goes to the NEA..or taxes on gas...we get taxed to death.

To the contrary, I do not mind paying $30,000 dollars in federal income taxes if they are put to good social use IN THE USA. The problem is, AND THIS HAS BEEN SHOWN TO BE A TRUISM, is that 100% of federal income taxes collected goes to pay for the national debt. Besides, I really do not want to leave NY. It's one of the most open cities in the world, and moving somewhere else brings memories of values, going to church on Sundays and the type of fascist shit I'm not comfortable with.
But then again I don't expect you to understand. While I'm here working my ass off paying all those taxes you were over in Irak not paying your fair share under the false pretense that you were defending me. Boy, that is a definite F5 in the Fujita bullshit scale!

As much as I'd like to give all the blame to Bush you have to also give a hefty serving a blame to Clinton and the Republicans in the House/Senate that passed the Financial Services Modernization Act in late 1999. That effectively wiped out all the protections that were put in place by Glass-Steagall and directly contributed to the advent of the SIV/CDO's that have since become the bane of almost every financial institutions balance sheet.
It only took ~ 8 years after "modernization" and derulation to bring the credit markets and the rest of the financial system to the precipice of near meltdown.
I do give Bush and Republicans in the House/Senate almost full credit for the devaluation of the currency due to this seemingly never ending disaster in Iraq. A large part of the increase in the price of oil is due solely to the devaluation of the dollar which is the world losing confidence in our economic system. I also give Republicans starting with Reagan with turning us into a debtor nation. The idea that Republicans are the more fiscally responsible or even the most effective on defense is a complete myth created by them and sold to a bunch of gullible people who truly want to believe in fairy tales.

U however can't walk done the street without guys like me doing my job. I lump in all the cops and firefighters as well since they too are socialists. ::) As far as being built by people like u..hardly..it was built by soldiers and patriots...not name callers with massive inferiority complexes. There have not been very many conservatives in the Republican party lately.
I agree with you. It was a noble thought, but not one that was applied unfortunatly. I dont believe in socialism. (Everybody can work at something)
But as Decker states, I dont believe in unlimited corporate growth as monopolies would exist. We need basic mandates to control the good for all.
But no one should get a free ride. This is why dems are mostly center now and why conservatives are in the center also. The old definitions dont apply.
-
I don't think anybody on here can say that Bush has driven us into the ground economically. He should have cut alot of wasteful programs while he had congress. But do u really believe that either of the Dems will not continue to grow government and spend us into the ground further. Their plans are online.....and forget Iraq we're not leaving so u genius's better figure a way of turning a profit.

You look at that graph and tell me what the Dems pattern is and how it compares to repubs..........The pattern tells me that the dems are used to fixing messes, so most likely will this time. But it may be to much for anyone at this point.

you're an uneducated clown.
go pick up your government check that MY taxes provide for you.
LOL... Youre relentless..... ;D

I like Decker. He's smart and rational but I do think he's a tad bit on the left with some of his fiscal point of views.
He's right though. Unlimited corporate growth will lead to too powerful corporations which stifles open markets and free enterprise. However, I'm of the point of view that government should stick to leveling the playing field and leave it to the American business owner to run the economy. IMO, when ever the government gets involved in anything it turns to shit. Sort of the anti-Midas touch. We can cite references of government incompetence all day long.

Look at my thread. "Americas Free market" We need to block NAFTA and outside interest to save our way of life..

I agree. We can thank Bush Sr. and Bubba Clinton for NAFTA.
We still have an American dollar in a death spiral, jobs going overseas, high inflation, and a flood of illegal immigrants. The last time I checked the Mexian economy is still crap.
I'm sure it's all a part of the "big" plan to introduce the Amero and piss away our nation's sovereignty. I mean, why the fuck not? The government doesn't seem to have a problem with robbing us of our individuals freedoms do they?
And I'm talking about Democrats AND Republicans that have sold America out.
BTW, the "American Free Market" is a myth. There is nothing free about a heavily regulated market. In some ways I don't blame companies for leaving.

Actually there is nothing free about a heavily UN-Regulated Market. They go overseas because they can, see.!! Its like a teenager running away from home because he can......What if it was beneficial for him to stay? What if the penalties for leaving were huge? The loss of american jobs s the core of our demise, we should be inclined to stay and help ourselves...Not just run to mexico for immediate profits...

It won't happen. I'm sorry but it's a fantasy.
The Chinese control the value of their currency to keep it low. American companies leave because the (far) left want to tax the fuck out of them making it hard to compete with the already unfair global market.
Then there is "Federal" Reserve. What a fucking joke. Out of money? Don't worry, we'll make more!
The American public had their chance to select Ron Paul and they didn't. While I strongly disagree with his views on Iraq (we are there so finish the damn job or be prepared to send our son's and daughters back) he's balls on accurate about our economy and our tax and spend government.

It must happen or our economy will collapse or weaken. Other countries will drag us into more wars we cant afford. The chinese will pull the plug on loans if the dollar continues to drop. (They are losing money). Other countries will urge nations to stop valuing Oil in Dollars and were f'd.
All of this would be solved if we came back together to build our own economy again, to gaurd our own borders, to keep busines here.
It would be tough as price corrections would have to take place, as to what the costs of goods should be for real working wages in the US.
Globalization will kill us, we cant compete with mexico, india, china etc.

Calling a soldier or any employee of our government a socialist is ridiculous.
By that standard then every politician right up to the President is also a socialist.
-
socialism: An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise.
if you work for the government, (think HH6) by definition you're in a form a socialism. clearly, it's not capiltalism...... is it ?
HH6 plays the capitalist fiddle.......but every Jan. he waits for his socialist C.O.L.A.
You're taking a definition about a country and applying it to an individual. It makes no sense. HH could be regarded as a capitalist in that he trades his time for a salary. He's not living on a governemtn handout. Your whole premise makes no sense.
-
just a reminder why i initiated this thread. 8)
I remember. And that premise didn't make much sense either.
I get your point I just doubt that Bush and Co gives a flying fuck and my point is that plenty others who didn't support Bush or do anything to create the current situation are being harmed. The rain falls on everyone.
-
HH6 plays the capitalist fiddle asking for smaller government, while his hands are outstreched looking for more government handouts..... for himself. you can't have it BOTH ways.
he'd cry like a baby if his C.O.L.A. didn't arrive every Jan 1st.
but God forbid anyone else received ANYTHING from the government !
if you say so
We're probably on the same page on most stuff but I just don't see your point of view on this or (as I previously mentioned) the need to gloat about the serious problems facing our economy. The people that will suffer the most are not Bush or the financial wizards on Wall Street. Those guys will be fine. Does this idiot look like he cares about anything?

A government "hand out" is getting something for nothing.
Are you suggesting that those that serve in the military or as public servants (less sellout politicians) give nothing back?
Social workers, police officers, firemen, members of the armed forces, and teachers just take and do absolutely nothing for society?
Put your political bias aside for a minute and think about necessary government spending to maintain and support our nation's infrastructure and national defense vs. parasitic turds in society that feed off our tax dollars.
HH6 is a military veteran who has seen combat. I'd say he's sacrificed a lot for his country. Have you? What have you done besides "pay your taxes?"
Politics aside, your lack of respect for the military embarasses me. You embarass yourself.

You may want to get a better understanding of what fascism means.
Values + church + indiference to government action = easily manipulated crowd. And this is the case ALL THE TIME, be it here in the US or in Burkina Fasso. That is exactly the goal of the fascists: self-regulation and no challenge of government. And this is exactly what does not happen is NY. People here are much more scheptical of what Bush says.
When you go further west, or north, that's when you start hearing the "U-S-A" every 5 minutes, the "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers, etc. You know, the type of shit that deviates your attention from the fact that your grandpa has more money than you, you now pay more taxes than your grandpa (even though they built all the infrastructure back in his time,) and you now pay more for shit that has a lifecycle ¼ of those your grandpa bought.
I am of the crowd that believes in the following:
Leave me the fuck alone + complete separation of church and state + less taxes = what the Founding Fathers had in mind.
Note, a patriot is someone who loves his country and is scheptic of his government. A stupid moronic imbecile is someone who loves his government and does everything he is asked, even when it involves OBVIOUS crimes against humanity.
The people who wrote the Constitution warned us about the shit that is going down right now.
And do me a favor, next time write more than 12 words. Fucking worried about the keys on your keyboard getting worn down?
-
[...]In some ways I don't blame companies for leaving.
Well, the thing is they don't. They just take the jobs to a country that has no labor laws (Viet Nam, Cambodia, etc.,) turn around and sell you THE VERY SAME SHIT for the VERY SAME PRICE. Nike is a company that comes to mind. Remember Kathy Lee Gifford? Outsourcing production to a country that had no labor laws, and hence managers could demand slavery-like services from their employees, was a big thing years ago (and now even moreso because of China). They all fucking knew it. They all knew it was WROOOOOOONG. And these were BY AND LARGE American companies.
I remember seeing a documentary on Nike. If my memory serves me right, I remember hearing that the company's costs to ship all the materials to a foreign (Asian) country was 85 cents per unit, 5 cents to asemble and 90 cents to ship back to the US, where a pair of sneakers would cost you and I $115.00, while it cost Nike less than $2.00. Who benefited?
Wander now why the towelheads fly planes into our buildings?

[...]The Chinese control the value of their currency to keep it low. American companies leave because the (far) left want to tax the fuck out of them making it hard to compete with the already unfair global market.[...]
American companies leave the US because thei want bigger profits, not because the "the far left" wants to tax them. What a fucking bunch of shit!
Our companies leave because they do not want to pay a US worker $15.00. Bottom fucking line.
On the other hand, they do want access to our market and sell their products at an (way) overblown price... like let's say Nike, GAP, etc. It costs them 5 cents per unit to produce them in Guatemala and they sell it to you for $50.00. And this can be extrapolated from banking to a dildo-making factory. It's the same everywhere. Profits are spread amongst a minority and liabilities amongst the majority. Have you ever wandered why a Chase Maximum Strength savings account gives you 1.25% in interests annually while a Chase mortgage is now up to 6%? That's a nice spread huh?!
I'm not making this up.

Some people can talk all day and say absolutely nothing while others say little and speak volumes.
I think I know which category to put you into.
You're correct about individual sovereignty and an all powerful government but you're wrong about fascism's association about "values" or "church". I only say church because I think you're relating Christianity to fascism. It's correct that Nazi Germany used Christianity to manipulate the masses you should also note that it was a twisted and perverted view of the religion and it's views. We are seeing this today by the extremists durkas that are using Islam to promote hate and intolerance.

Hey dumbass..I don't get COLA..because I'm CONUS...and not in a state that gets COLA,which they are doing away with anyway. There are very few States that are authorized COLA. Hawai gets it and a few others but u have to be doing recruiting duty or ROTC with no major military base close by. Once again..u have no idea what the hell ur talking about.

Well, I was just responding to your inaccurate observations of my comment and pointing out your inability to read between the lines (go below the surface). I understand you, like your type, need 3 word excerpts for it to sink in, but I sincerely refuse to lower the quality of the debate for you to be able to understand it. If you do not get it, do not quote me. If you're not sure ask me.

That is not true.
The way Nazism was able to evolve in Germany into the widespread movement that eventually killed millions of human beings is through two things: Exacerbated patriotism and outright racism caused by what had happened to their grandparents in WWI (simply put, THEY LOST!). Although there isn't a clear link (I may be wrong on this,) this type of reaction was in many ways, passively, spurred by the church (let's not forget that some of the biggest concentration camp murderers were ex-priests). The church did instill a set of what they called "values" into their believers, and as in any other time (be it the Spanish Inquisition or the burnings of the infidels all over Europe,) when things got rough they were quick to point the finger at the innocent.
When I say "values" I mean the fact that they always taught very undemocratic principles like: land x belongs to race x because God said so and language x is spoken there because race x rules the land by the grace of God. As opposed to our (original and intended-although it turned out a little differently-) system, which is "land x belongs to whoever fucking buys it, that person is free to do as he/she wishes with the land; regardless of race, religion or creed; as long as he/she accepts the rules of the land (Constitution)".
Going back to the subject, it is obvious that "values" played a very big part in what happened in Germany during the past century. Unless you have a predisposed population you cannot whipp people into a nationalistic frenzy whose only goal is to keep the "values" intact. In a very Maslowian way, you have to put people into survival mode (remember the terror alert warnings of a few years back that had eveyone's nipple's getting hard everytime a supposed attack was on its way? That was the intended goal: to put you in survival mode). It happened in Germany when Hitler and his cronies made up a story about ethnic Germans who lived in Hungary and Poland were being killed and just happened a couple of years ago with the invention of the WMD in Iraq. This ain't new. I'm not making this up.
I mean, the Jewish conspiracy is now Islam's hate of democracy. Guantánamo is the new Auschwitz. The gleichschaltung is now Bush's law basically stating "I owe your ass!". Things are lining up man. We're headed for a totalitarian regime at full speed. If you think corporations or someone in particular is going to come to save the day then you're in for a surprise. All the freedoms we've got were fought for. They were not mercily handed down by anyone. Keep that in mind.
Power has only one thing in mind: To perpetuate itself in it, directly or indirectly. History proves me right.

He said "watching the u.s. economy implode/crumble"... under the Bush mandate!!!
He was implying that since Bush is the one who fucked it up, Bush should be the one getting called out for it.
Am I the only one able to see this?

Guys - this video is from LAST WEEK.
Do you think Bush understand/cares or is even aware of the current troubles in our economy. He doesn't seem to troubled to me.
Taking great joy in the meltdown of our financial system on the offhand chance that it might cause Bush some concern is lame.
Why not make the same point about soldiers getting killed and maimed in Iraq?
