I respect Rugby, but even some of it's best players have tried to step up to the NFL because of the huge salary difference and they couldn't even make the practice squad (Jonah Lomu).

Point! However, if you ever see a game live, you will appreciate how blindingly hard these guys hit each other. You can hear the contact from 20+ rows. It's amazing that these guys just jump right up and run back to the huddle.

That combined with probably not understanding some of the smaller things going on, could certainly make it boring for you. I didn't grow up watching it, but have started the last few years....have to love a sport where is somebody acts like a bitch, he gets his ass kicked and the ass kicker just goes to the penalty box for a few. Can you imagine if other sports operated like that? haha

the pace of the games are totally different for sure.... Have you watched enough NFL to see a team go into the hurry-up offense? Essentially, as soon as a play is over the hurry to the line to run another one.....it is much more your speed of play.

There is no doubt that AF Players are big, fast and strong. I played Rugby myself and that is a pretty tough game. The only thing that makes me laugh is how taylor runs around the pitch like a dog with ten dicks high fiving everyone. Thats what he is paid to do - just do it and shut it.

Brock Lesnar is a totally different case. He states that his heart just wasn't into football. He was looking for an athletic endeavor that didn't absorb virtually all of his time and had him living out of a suitcase.
That's the reason he left WWE (and a 6-year, multi-million dollar contract). The road life, coupled with the beatings and his growing dependency on painkillers, to get in the ring, were taking their toll on him.
Of course, he could have done a decent job of following the "time-honored" tradition, before he left. But, that's another story.
