Title: back from my holiday in america - thoughts !
Post by: Fatpanda on January 04, 2011, 06:52:40 AM
that's right my getbig fans. i have just returned from sunny Florida on vacation.

it was nice and warm - unlike Scotland has been this past month (icy cold)

i enjoyed it very much and would like to offer my thoughts on Florida and America as a whole.

1. the drivers are terrible - everyone talks on their mobile, everyone weaves in and out of traffic without signalling, they drive through red lights, and i actually saw a woman driving while talking on her mobile AND painting her toe nails !!!!! there was not a single day i was there that i didn't see a smashed car by the side of the road - no wonder.  :o
2. food portions are huge - anything you order, i specifically asked for a little steak at a golden corral and got what looked like the entire side of a cow on my plate. fries were piled so high they would fall off my plate as the waitress carried it over. also dirt cheap  8)
3. Americans are stupid beyond belief - i knew this already with my interactions here, but really do you even have an education system  ??? at the airport the security guy made my 80 year old wheelchair bound grandmother wait for over an hour trying to get her fingerprints on some digital scanner that kept giving an error - the error was in fact with his brain as he didn't know his left from his right and kept scanning my grans left hand when it should have been her right and vice versa  :o
4. Spanish is actually the official language of Florida - i had no idea, everywhere i went, everyone i spoke to with a golden tan would reply with Ola ? por que ? and other things i had no clue about.
5. Latino women are hot hot hot - really really super sexy, friendly too.
6. white Americans have no dress sense - the sights i saw there were beyond belief. mullets are still a fashion trend it seems. women were all obese or skanky thin. pale pasty skin or dirty looking. dressed in cheap jeans and plain white t-shirts - either super baggy or skin tight  :-X most of the fat ones had black guys as boyfriends.
7. black Americans will fuck anything - any shape, size, looks. they also talk very loudly, like they want everyone to hear what they are talking about. some were also not particularly friendly i was buying some shoes in a store and shonique asked me if i wanted insurance or something i told her firmly NO , she gave me this dirty look like ' oh no you didn't' and made a ugghhh noise. i thought perhaps i insulted her somehow, maybe by staring at her strange tall beehive hairstyle or her tits, or maybe in my stern clear tone ( which i have to because Americans cannot understand the Scottish accent sometimes) , so i was extra nicer to her and she seemed a little more happy ( although avoided all eye contact)
8. Americans are very confident and friendly in general - they will approach you and ask you things out of the blue, with no embarrassment - where are y'all from, where did you get that t-shirt, etc probably a Glasgow thing but we are very closed and not always approachable, so this was strange for me. in Glasgow if someone asks where you got your shirt - they are about to try to rob you.
9. your health care system is nothing short of a disgrace - overpriced robbery. my mother was in a car crash ( a driver drove through a red light at in intersection and destroyed her car) she was lucky to escape with her life. she sustained bruised ribs, a fractured spine and concussion. in total they ran a few scans, gave her some pain killer (vicodin and perceset) and on another occasion injected a medical cement into her spine - total cost $40000+ also she works and has health insurance, yet they still couldn't get her out the door quick enough just a few hours after the crash, calling her a taxi to take her home alone, even though she was still dizzy and weak. she told them she felt terrible and they forced her out - where she collapsed.  >:( in Scotland she would have been scanned, given pain killers and operated on within the same timescale and it would be free. we also would not kick someone out of hospital who had just been in a major traffic accident, complaining of severe dizziness, headaches, pain and weakness. you need to really get over this irrational fear of socialised health care.
10. your welfare system - i was told if you are made unemployed you only get wellfair for 2 months - then you get nothing  ??? i don't know how true this is as it seems crazy to me. perhaps some Americans can clarify this. while i hate the idea of people that have never worked a day in their life getting government handouts for life, the alternative to not getting anything after 2 months is barbaric. there are people who want to work, and apply for jobs regularly but simply cannot get a job - i have been there myself. what choice do people have except crime  ??? they have to survive somehow?
11. - amazing gyms - planetfitness has a great $10 a month fee with no long term contract, plus tons of machines etc - really put Glasgow gyms to shame in all aspects.
12. - size of people - i felt small in America, both in height and weight. i felt thin due to so many fatties, and short too with all those dudes over 6'. also i saw lots of well built dudes all over, it was clear that lots of guys workout out.

any getbiggers live in Florida ? or europeans that have visited - do you feel the same ? do you disagree ?

maybe America doesn't value people who "sound" smart (know lots of studies, etc)  ;)

I think they respect deeds over words, you know like inventing the lightbulb or landing a man on the moon.

I haven't flown since the security changes but why were they trying to get your Grandma's fingerprints?

What city or cities did you visit?

Seems you go for other reasons.

I haven't flown commercial since the security changes

Yes, what's the point in being a Getbigger if you don't fly via your own private jet? 8)

maybe this queer flew here from Scotland to give diet advice and make fun of fatties when he himself is in fact a fat tub of shit.

Wow. de Tocqueville-like insights. Oh brother.

lulz.

fatpanda, basing all of america on the shit town in Florida of all places is a little silly, don't you think?  or is your fat infested brain too drowned out to comprehend that?

It's like basing all of Scotland on a picture of you.  Well, that's probably right on, you fat tub.

I have to agree with you here.

This goes for America as a whole.

And yes, despite what people may tell you, America is a giant cesspool of retards with a few rays of light here and there.

Funny thread that seems very similar to the one I made a year ago:
http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=300870.0 (http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=300870.0)

Just a few quick general observations from a foreigner(some good, some bad):

-Walmart is a fucking hilarious experience, watching minorities and white trash with their dumb ass kids buying stupid shit. The employee's are even worse.

-Americans in general above the age of 25-30 look unhealthy which usually reflects their obsession with bad types of food. They are either very fat or look like they're full of toxins with their pale horrible skin.

-Girls are either bottom of the barrel or SMOKING hot. Such a diverse amount of ethnicity so there's no real "standard".

-Never knew that saggy old, washed out, unstylish jeans could be so in style. Almost everyone except for hot college students had the most bland and boring taste in fashion.

-Very unusual and interesting architecture. Everything has more color to it. You can tell that the country is still young since there is not a lot of old buildings around. Everything is built around vehicles. I knew I was in America when I saw a drive-through Dunkin Donuts. (I caught a NYPD officer in the act of buying donuts, made me smile)

-I love the college partying scene, explains a lot about blinky's popular thread.

-21 years drinking age and 16 years driving is off the scale retarded. I think a lot of americans agree on this.

-American people ALWAYS smile in front of the camera, never saw them taking a spontaneous photo... Everyone always had to pose pretending to be happy.

-Never seen so many disclaimers in my entire life. Half the commercials are devoted to disclaimers. Never knew it was so dangerous to take a simple cough medicine  ::)

-All kinds of goverment info that I saw (signs, ads etc) presumed you were a retard. They always had to threat you with x amount of years in prison and fines if you broke this and that law etc. A lot of information or advises you got was to plant fear in you.

-People get fired a lot easier and quicker. Do your job properly or get kicked out.

-They ask you "wazzup" or "how's it going" not caring about the answer they get.

-Americans in general worry a lot about staying "PC" but behind closed doors I heard a lot of people saying "fucking n*ggers". Black people I met that didn't act "ghetto" could probably be counted on two hands. Nothing racist about it, just stating my experience. Everything jewish or holocaust is not to be joked about.  ::)

-No one dared say they are American. It's always "I'm half Irish and quarter Italian blabla". The country has been around since the 18th century and most of the immigration happened a long time ago, time to say that you're american, no?

-They are usually very sociable and devote a lot of effort to make sure their guests have a pleasant stay.

-American traffic is very calm and even though I'm not aware of all the traffic rules there is, driving around was not a problem. Every sign and traffic information was worded out for you. I did see a lot of teenagers driving while texting and not paying attention. Michigan roads are fuckin terrible.

There's a lot more I could add, but that's the stuff that came out on top of my head. Of course it's easy to be very critical of another country when it's different from your own, but I've tried to stay pretty impartial and honest. Most of my stay was in the northern part of states... mainly Michigan, Ohio and New York. I thought it would be interesting for some of you people to hear a foreigners experience of america that is not based on what they see or hear on the television. I worked and lived there for 4 months. Successfully I might add.
In the end you realize we're all humans and whatever difference there might be in culture or political climate it's not what's important. I made a lot of good friends over there and had a blast for sure.

Depending on where you travel in any country you'll find idiots.if FP went to NYC,LA, or some big city he might have a different perspective.

....I've done alot of traveling and found rural Germans and the Japanese the worst to deal with.Brits have a great sense of humor, same with the Irish.
I met a lot of Brits in college around Boston, they are fun to hang around with. Asians were insecure for lack of a better word..always asking, "you know Korea?" "you like the country?"

I hate to say it because I like the country but seriously there are so many dumb fucks in the USA, loads of booksmarts and they can tell you the date that Ben Franklin last wiped his ass but anyone from the UK can run rings round 95% of them in a social/humor context, its almost embarrassing how slow the majority are to pick up on humor.I lived there for a short period and its really hard to find people who think as quick socially, why its always nice to meet Ukers there.
LOL we dont care nearly as much about being social over here. we are strict individualists, borught up that way by our parents and by our public school systems. most every other country out there is drastically more collectivist, and thus more sociable.

scottish inventions have moulded the world chief !

you should look into that sometime. i have made a post about this before.
just to verify she was who she said she was i suppose.

it was pretty clear to me though she was no suicide bomber.  ::)

Scotts invented only one good thing, The Glenlivet Scotch. And by the way, if you are going to call all of Americans stupid because of a few people you met, then I think you have bigger problems yourself.

Here's a Good Riddance from America Smartguy!

Come on man, just look at the type of "humor" from the UK.  Monty Python and Benny Hill?  Highly the highest echelons of teh funny.

Ricky Gervais has his moments, i'll give him some credit, but he's nowhere near most American comedians.

the homeless and the gap between the haves and have nots is shocking.

so to is the filth.

i remember being amazed on my first visit. i had expected to see a high standard of most things, such as infrastructure, hotels, roads, standard of living and so on.

i found that it was far below australia, UK, new zealand and south africa, and in many ways was behind malaysia and was closer to India than anything else.

You are an idiot.  Either that or you are comparing India to some ghetto you roamed into.  I have been ALL OVER europe and many other parts of the world and the US has an extremely high standard of living.  The avg homeowner on getbig in the US probably owns a house with 3x the square footage of one of your euro apts/flats.  Massive amt of food, most products are inexpensive, etc, etc......

And the first cardboard city of homeless I ever saw was in London....it was MASSIVE.....and i have never seen one like it here in the states, chief.

Every country has it's own problems. With 364 million people in the United States the ratio between homeless and rich are going to be pretty wide. This doesn't diminish the fact there is a homeless issue. The United States has always been the land of opportunity but over the last 20 years or so, the progressive Left has tried and successfully pushed the United States into an illegal immigrant magnet which has cause a lot of our problems with Homelessness and high unemployment. What I think is crap is the fact that ALL the other countries hold the United States to a higher standard but we can't do the same to other countries. I wish my country would hold the rest of the world at the standard that they hold us to. You would see a different outlook of the United States.

that's right my getbig fans. i have just returned from sunny Florida on vacation.

it was nice and warm - unlike Scotland has been this past month (icy cold)

i enjoyed it very much and would like to offer my thoughts on Florida and America as a whole.

1. the drivers are terrible - everyone talks on their mobile, everyone weaves in and out of traffic without signalling, they drive through red lights, and i actually saw a woman driving while talking on her mobile AND painting her toe nails !!!!! there was not a single day i was there that i didn't see a smashed car by the side of the road - no wonder.  :o
2. food portions are huge - anything you order, i specifically asked for a little steak at a golden corral and got what looked like the entire side of a cow on my plate. fries were piled so high they would fall off my plate as the waitress carried it over. also dirt cheap  8)
12. - size of people - i felt small in America, both in height and weight. i felt thin due to so many fatties, and short too with all those dudes over 6'. also i saw lots of well built dudes all over, it was clear that lots of guys workout out.

any getbiggers live in Florida ? or europeans that have visited - do you feel the same ? do you disagree ?

here i go again on my tangent but I will ask anyway....Did you have any sex while in the US?

and, again, you didn't have sex with my mom, dad, sister, grandmother, etc

If you're European, "berzerkfury" might refer to you as............Eurotrash. ROFLOL  :D

I love this gimmick. Your entire life revolves around America. All that contempt and yet you devote hour after hour of your life to posting on an American forum about American people, athletes, American ideas, American culture and on and on.

There's a word for that it's "obsessed".

Who'd have thunk my comments about Europeans would have bothered you so much? Too easy.

But Europeans are "cultured". They eat cheese and lift their noses at the inferiors of the world....while their countries go bankrupt, are overrun by Muslim immigrants and their way of life disappears into obscurity. The Scandinavian countries are really the only ones that should be bragging.

Culturally, the USA might as well be about 6 different countries, different regions can be extremely different in the US.

SoCal, the desert southwest, the south, the north east, pacific northwest, midwest, Alaska, each one is totally different. You cannot really generalize American people too much because they are so diverse.

Florida does have a redneck/southern trash thing going on. But many parts of the USA don't have that much at all. All up and down the West Coast you won't find much of that vibe at all.

The diversity makes this country great.

Ah, but to someone who is a passive-aggressive know it all, what a fine place to be to think you are better than others. The overall read is that, "I'm better"...this doesn't seem like a vacation...one doesn't take their wheelchair bound grandmother who has injuries on a "vacation across the pond", you take them to the countryside...and spend time with them...I wonder what this was really about?

Also how many people criticizing the infrastructure/intelligence/poverty levels/etc. in America have actually traveled extensively in the USA or lived in more than one place for any meaningful length of time?  USA has a 99% literacy rate, 40% of its population has college degrees (more than the UK, Australia, or Ireland), and it has the 5th-to-8th highest GDP per capita in the world depending on whose numbers you look at (better than any large European country except Norway).  Americans have won 38% of the Nobel Prizes and 16% of the Olympic medals (and account for less than 5% of the world population so don't start that shit).  The USA is far from a perfect place but it's closer to being so than any other country on Earth at the moment.
Boom.

America, fuck yeah.

I've only been to Europe once (5 countries) and most of what I saw was beautiful but one town was full of junkies and scary as hell ...but maybe it was just the part of town I was in but the hotel was really nice.   Can't fault all of Europe for one town ...and that maybe was just having a bad day w/an influx of people that had fallen on hard times.

Haven't been all over the state, but I really like Florida.

Florida is great, been there twice.

I love the weather, the landscape. I have been swimming with wild dolphins in the gulf at Ft Myers. Amazing that these animals come so close to you that you can touch them. Scary as hell at first....

Somewhere in the Everglades, we had some motorboat, and then 10-15 dolphins were swimming with the boat all the time, it was like a race or some game, amazing.

Down on the keys, this is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

There are dumb people everywhere, and if i had to chose i'd much rather live with stupid people under the sun than in cold northern Europe, but that's just my personal feeling.

The last time I was in Florida I got caught driving in a hurricane.  Pretty miserable experience.  Luckly the European-made car I was in did fine even though it was shipping water like nobody's business.  It also flash flooded and I had to get into the car through the trunk.

I love seeing dolphins swimming down the coast.  That is always a thrill and never gets old.

Haven't been to the Keys but it looks laid back and the water looks great!

Florida is lovely in many places but the weather in the summer is miserable.  Ungodly hot and muggy.  I could never live there year-round but it's a great destination.

seems like i have touched a nerve or two with my post.

don't shoot the messenger !

you also assume this is my first visit to the states - it was not.

its ok if you disagree, but it speaks volumes that most of you automatically get your panties in a bunch and come out all guns blazing in retaliation. i noticed some were more open minded though which is good to see.

one other thing that came to mind - which i'm sure you will all love.

americans are very patriotic - it doesn't matter what you are talking about - america is best at it, science, wars, literature, poetry, cuisine, fashion, culture, music, sports, movies, etc i don't know how many support out troops bumper stickers i saw, and when you visit the theme parks they ask any military to stand so everyone else can clap and show them appreciation for defending their great nation. i found this highly amusing - the iraqis and afgans must liken this sight to germans clapping the nazis for protecting them during ww2.  ::)

Well, if your great country is heavily in debt and still keeps spending billions on never-ending wars, it is a must! There is requirement of some severe propaganda to keep people out of streets in that kind of situation.

Hmm... Looks like healthy sustainable growth.. wait, WUT? It's debt - not GDP  :D

maybe you should read an economics book before you spew the "national debt" bs?

when you understand why the debt keeps growing and can explain why it's ballooning with no apparent consequences and not even so much as a peep from the lenders, maybe you can join the big table.

until then, go drive your .6L 2 cylinder euro shitmobile and shut the fuck up.

in Scotland she would have been scanned, given pain killers and operated on within the same timescale and it would be free. we also would not kick someone out of hospital who had just been in a major traffic accident, complaining of severe dizziness, headaches, pain and weakness. you need to really get over this irrational fear of socialised health care.

Nothing is free!  As for "irrational fear of socialized health care", just look at France, Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain and that should give you an idea of where your country is headed.

I always just assumed everyone else was a fucking moron... and I was the genius. Since my interactions with people from the UK, France and Italy left me reeling at the faggotry and stupidity of said people. Pretty much only Germans hold the fort down.

Obsessive European gimmick rant. Have you taken to going through my posting history? I can't think of the last time I made a post about Europeans where you didn't quickly follow up with some teary-eyed diatribe about how special you think you are.

Florida is great and I've lived around north florida my whole life. What you saw in orlando is not what you will find in the rest of the state, even I feel like an outsider there. It's full of tourists such as youself. What you saw is a cultural melting pot of countries. I live in a great climate around friendly ppl with southern culture within 10 mins of pristine beaches. ah johnny, i have saw how you have been following me around getbig for these past few months, admiring how masculine my posts are and wishing i was your father.

how you must dream how different your life would be if you had a strong guiding influence like mine.

but alas as i have said before your cock sucking ways make me vomit, your hook nose looks like it was stolen from a witches mask, and your mother is uglier than death itself.

kill yourself and end your pain -its your only escape from the HIV that is slowly killing you softly.  :'(

Is it possible that you fellas could judge the message and not the messenger? Who gives a flying fuck how the messenger looks, what's important is the message. By the way, fatpandas "diet" ideas aren't his ideas, alot of the things he says comes from Arthur Jones. In fact, my "diet" ideas are even much more extreme than his 8) For one, I think that protein is WAY OVER-RATED ;D I have a feeling that many of you are just butt hurt that there are other, more fun ways (eating chesseburgers, french fries, kit kats ::) ) to accomplish the same goals that you want to accomplish. Or maybe, you are just pussies, and aren't willing to pay the price of engaging in very hard training ::) P.S. I don't agree with everything that fatpanda says, and in fact my "diet" principles are even further to the left than his are ;D

I don't agree with everything that fatpanda says, and in fact my "diet" principles are even further to the left than his are ;D

The reason is that if the "messenger" who is applying these principles looks like a bag of smashed assholes, then why would anyone else want to apply them?  It would be like having Shaq teach you how to shoot freethrows.

And what works for you, won't necessarily work for everbody.

Fatpanda is like one of those lonely spinsters who've never been in a decent relationship, but are always giving out relationship advice because they've read books like 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus' as well as relationship advice columns in popular magazines. He keeps saying he's lost weight, which is true, but hardly a big deal nor a qualification of his knowledge. There are several ways to lose weight, including starving and induced vomiting, so are you saying that anyone who has lost weight by whatever method is automatically a guru who's qualified to give out advice?

If you are obese, you will lose weight if you lower your calories, even if you eat garbage like candy - no one is debating or challenging that. But you WILL retain more muscle and feel better if you diet the traditional way, eating "clean" food, rather than Kit Kats and what not. FP has very little muscle, despite his claims, so he doesn't really notice the difference, not to mention I doubt if he's tried dieting eating healthier food to be able to compare the two approaches.

End of the day, it's his body and his choice as to how he chooses to lose weight, but no one here is going to take his advice on dieting, except for the mavericks who do it to look cool or whatever, lol. I get a kick out of FP's threads, 'cause it's boring here nowadays and it's always fun to see people ganging up on someone who doesn't back down and gives as good as he gets ;D

Ok kiwi, I'm curious if maybe you can shed some light on one of my more interesting "diet" experiences. After I hit my peak condition which was 154 sub-6, I was able to maintain this condition for a few months eating a double cheeseburger, regular sized french fries, and a large coke nearly every single day for dinner (this part isn't my question man, it's just a primer for my question which is now). Ok, so after this 2 months stablization on a regular daily "junk meal" I decided to up the calories to gain hopefully muscles. So instead of a double cheese, I ate a triple cheese, and I went from regular fries to large fries. Also, I ate a gallon of ice cream at night right before bedtime, and lo and behold I went from 154 sub-6 to 167 sub-8 in less than 6 weeks. I'd like to hear your take on this. And no man, I ain't hating on you, in fact I respect you bro.

Every post you make is this exact same post about your whopping 154-lb "peak" and this cheeseburger nonsense.  Shut up about it already.  You ate high-calorie, high-protein meals (Wendy's Triple and large fries for example is 1550 calories and 78 grams of protein) and gained both muscle and fat.  Stop the presses, what an amazing revelation.

edit: vvv Well said, Dr. Ill!

At this point in your life, your metabolism runs at a rate to burn all those junk calories you are getting from that type food, but if you truely want to see what that food is doing to your body....go eat your triple burger and large fries and go down to your local plasma center and donate....then look at the filter after you are done....it will look just like the white left over grease when you cook bacon....then go eat right for a few days....go back to the plasma center and look at the filter....we could go into the depths of cellular absorption but this simple easy test can show you instead of being told.

There isn't really enough data in your question to be able to say what the cause was. You can control weight via caloric deficit and you can put on muscle (to a limited extent) even on junk like fries and ice cream, if you were depleting a lot more than you needed to. A lot of factors come into play - your age, training, level of stress during the time, quality of sleep etc - it all adds up, so it's impossible to gauge based simply on 2 generic lines about your diet during that time.

And again, I'm not saying you or FP are wrong in saying you'll lose fat if you lower your calories. But it is not the best way to go about it IF you are as concerned about retaining muscle as you are about losing fat. We both know eating a steak and potatoes doesn't do the same thing to your body as eating the equivalent amount of calories via Snickers bars and Coca cola.

To put it another way, if you'd eaten "clean" food instead of ice cream and fries during the time you went from "154 sub-6 to 167 sub-8", you'd have ended up somewhere between 172 - 175 on sub 7 - I may be off a bit with the numbers, but I'm sure you can see the point I'm trying to make.

Great post man.  At a young age I couldn't eat enough to put on any size.,,, no matter what or how much I ate.  Not to mention this idea of eating burgers, etc... as the primary source of "nutrition" is a sure fire way to a cardiac arrest or stroke. At a young age guys are prone to the "who cares, I eat what I want and look great...."  with no consideration for what is going on inside their body.  i think a nice Anatomy and Physiology course is in order for the younger guys.

Ok, those are good points about one's "health", but I'm talking purely about cosmetic purposes ;) And regarding "health" I think that it is nearly a 100% genetic thing ie the world's oldest female who smoked like a chimney ;D And yeah kiwi, you make a good point about the possibility that I could have made even better gains if I ate "cleaner". But, I have experience in that regard as well, I tried eating chicken breasts, tuna in water, fresh vegtables, rice, etc. And all it did for me was made me lose tons of strength and made my muscles flat as a pancake.

You are taking a very simplistic approach in analysing the matter, for someone who talks about it so much, lol. Just because you are eating tuna, rice and vegetables doesn't mean it's going to give you bigger muscles, if you are not crunching the numbers correctly.

You can both lose and gain weight eating junk food, just like you can lose and gain weight eating clean food. But if you do everything right, you will retain more muscle, be healthier and feel better eating wholesome food than eating junk. When you're younger, you can get away with it more, but as you get older, you will notice the difference.

And bear in mind the cumulative effects on health with your approach in the long term - you might be interested more in the cosmetic effects, but sooner or later, your health is going to draw a line and you'll realize you can only push or abuse your body so far, lol.

Obsessive European gimmick rant. Have you taken to going through my posting history? I can't think of the last time I made a post about Europeans where you didn't quickly follow up with some teary-eyed diatribe about how special you think you are.

Not sure of your age now, but with this mentality, at age 40 instead of getting blood work done, ask for an ultrasound of your carotids so they can get that surgery scheduled before you have a massive stroke leaving you paralyzed on one side of your body, cosmetically unpleasing by your standards, I am sure!  :-X  Good luck.

That makes you strong. But you don't look muscular in any of your pics, just fat. Not hating.

Remember those pics of Lee Priest where he was really fat, eating KFC out of the bucket, lol? You could tell he had a lot of muscle there, even though he was near obese. I know you aren't a pro or close to one, but you don't look like you'd weigh over 160 lb if you cut down to 12% body fat or less.

If you prove me wrong, I'll admit it and give you props.

And as far as these health concerns go, me thinks dat hard and consistant training is da TRUMP CARD, and that it's basically a license to sin, and eat whatever da fuck dat you want without bad health effects ;D FYI, I wasn't so young at that time 26, also I did have blood work done, just out of curiousity, and I past that test with flying colors 8) You'll have to forgive me if my posts don't make absolute and perfect sense, as I am on a calorie is a calorie diet blitz eating not more than 700 cals most days, but I'm absolutely certain that I will quickly gain back whatever muscle I do lose, and then some 8) P.S. I will go from 15% to 8% in 3 weeks or less, and hopefully less than 3 weeks since Lord knows that one gain lose tons of muscle in 1 or 2 weeks time, right? lol
Well on 700 cals your system will use what ever is available, muscle tissue, fat, carbs, protein etc to maintain itself. Best to be healthier eat "clean" foods. The goal can be achieved either way depends on your risk level. I have to admit dj181 is a driven individual got to hand that to him 700 cals a day is brutal.

Driven or just stupid? Given "dat" he likes to type like "dat" I'm going to have to go with "da" latter.

Hey Mr N, I know dat you is a Mike Mentzer fan, so I gots a question for you. Did you ever read his Heavy Duty Journal? FYI, he talks about his contest prep for the 79 Mr. O, and there were days when he ate super lo cals, like 600 cal days, and me thinks dat he had plenty of muscle on him ;) My point is that one can do what I'm doing for a very short period of time (3 weeks max) and that the muscle that is lost won't be that much muscle, and that it will come back VERY QUICKLY, once a normal diet is started back up. So, basically my hypothesis is that a 3 week diet blitz will cause lots of fat to be lost without losing that much muscle, and that this muscle will quickly come back, WITHOUT THE FAT COMING BACK, after a normal diet is resumed.

Yes I am a Mike Mentzer fan I actually trained with him once in Venice right before he died. Now what I'm seeing is you are on kinda of a precontest diet constantly ie every 3 weeks depending on goals you wont build very much mass on a continous cycle as such. Interesting as such you will lose muscle on a restricted low cal diet being a natural, however things come into play as muscle memory and Gylogen restores. So question is would you prefer to lose the fat more slowly and retain muscle or drop muscle and have to rebuild? Merely a choice I always did best on the slow route to maintain muscle size because its tougher to build muscle than losing fat. Just my take.
