I destroyed my left quad/knee in July 2010, had surgery, almost died, months of painful PT to learn to walk again and I trained legs twice last week. That said, you're right....it ain't nothin but an excuse.

lol, a bone fracture and an infection would be a good reason... but other excuses not related to any kind of injury just tells that the person thinking it's useless to train legs has a weird idea about physique, looks and what women desire.

you dont need big legs to look good but you cant have sticks either. i have two bum knees and have only been doign extensions for the past 5 months and my quads look decent. less mass on the upper quad but more definition down by the knee.

doing 4x25 reps is kind of pointless, it's almost like you do warm up sets after warm up sets. Rather do 25 reps really hard, that kind of intensity with a weight ratio decant to your own bodyweight will give you results.

Ya know, I wish I could say it happened while fighting in Iraq, or while cage fighting, or while playing semi pro football, or in a mass bar fight that I won, but the truth is I came home early one day to take care of my sick daughter. Went upstairs to put her down for a nap, came back downstairs and during the final portion of my walk downstairs decided, "you know, I think I'll just go ahead and fall the rest of the way down these stairs." LOL, it was painful.

There is no excuses for not training legs. I have 2 slipped discs occured early in my bodybuilding career. Didnt really treat it but with total mental focus and believe in oneself, i managed to build a pretty decent pair of wheels. So no EXCUSES!! Train legs in your next workout. Try wearing shorts in the public if you have good legs and see if the gals look at your arms or legs and butt first. Trust me! ;)

I also have slipped disks in my back, but legs are becoming my best bodypart, not long ago they were my worse, your advice is spot on, no excuses train the fuckers ;D your wheels are more than decent ;)

Yep, I slipped a disc in my back too and kept training legs after it healed up. Things change, bodies get hurt, bodies get older and you must adjust your methods.

My excuse is that my hernias hurt and I am trying to hold off on surgery as long as possible. i don't go over 225 of squats, and I pyramid up from the bar to 225 with sets of 12. But some weeks, it just hurts, and i only do leg curls and exts...

Most guys, who dont train legs, always, say, I have a bad back.So I cant train my legs, lol.They seem to do bent over rows and cheat curls just fine, even with a bad back.
The best excuse I heard was a guy said to me.I am on my feet all day long, plus I run, so why do I need to train my legs?.
He had 17" arms and about 17" legs.

THis not training legs shit, never understood it, I put more time in legs than upper body, the pumps feel so much better, and it contributes more to my overall strength. ANd btw, I dunno why no one says this, but at least for me it is really hard to make my glutes sore in the gym, only thing that for me is sex. If I don't get any for like a month, and I meet a girl and we are doing on the regular, for the first week my ass is sore as fuck from humping, and then it gets used to it and it;s way bigger than before. Then I am single again in 3 weeks and it deflates lol, so much potential homo in this post sigh

if you talk to a knee specialist he would tell you leg extensions are a bad idea for the knees, but if you talk to anyone with knee problems leg extensions are just about the only movement you can do without causing pain

Unfortunately, you aren't blessed with phat booty genetics. When I used to train legs, my ass grew...which was good in a way. Everytime I wore a certain pair of grey dress pants, I would have my ass grabbed by the women in the office...or they would find a way to "rub" up against it.

at my gym theres a few fat asses who bench pretty heavy but dont train back hard or do legs at all..all of the excuses ive seen here are used.many of them fail to realize they will not get lean size by doing delts and chest hard.there core metabolism is never stressed by doing doing back and legs hard.its always amusing to see these people want get all these big cycles of hormones ... :)christ just for doing chest and arms.what a waste.

I have a back injury that means i can no longer squat, deadlift, bent over barbell row, etc. BUT I STILL NEVER MISS A LEG WORKOUT!
Theres lunges, hack squats, leg extensions..etc. Still get angry every day knowing i can't squat...but at least my legs still hardly fit in my jeans.

I actually do train legs...now, before I didn't. My ass grew more than my legs...I've always had a big butt, but when your pants are tight around your ass, and you have to buy pants not by your waist, but by your ass---it gets difficult.
Where I used to train, you had to walk up a flight steps from the weight room, then down two flights of steps to get out...and the DOMS were very bad, and then where I used to work, I had to constantly go up and down steps...And I was like "Eff This!"
Now, I don't work there, so it's diff

I can't believe how I used to run home from the gym on leg days (mostly up hill about 2 miles) when I was in my early twenties. First 200 metres or so was a killer, just getting the coordination back but from there, with the pump in the quads and hams, I kind of used to bounce home. These days I'm lucky to get off the couch without snapping a ligament.

The women on the leg press machine having 2 plates on each side doing very slow 10 repitition sets almost effortless while telling me they don't want balloon legs... then I'm like "you want to be just toned, right?" and the women agree, but I tell them that they could easily add couple of more plates and actually do a "tone" workout by doing high reps to the limit, definetely not ballooing the legs, but they believe it if I say it.
