Lance Armstrong 'comes clean' over doping in Oprah Winfrey interview
• Winfrey: 'He did not come clean in the manner I had expected'
• Interview to be broadcast over two nights instead of one
(http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Sport/Pix/pictures/2013/1/15/1358257310929/Lance-Armstrong-is-interv-008.jpg)
Oprah Winfrey has confirmed that after years of furious denials and threats Lance Armstrong finally "came clean" over his doping past during their two-and-a-half hour interview, due to be broadcast later this week.
The US TV presenter appeared on CBS This Morning to talk about the interview with Armstrong, which was filmed on Monday in his hometown of Austin, and said that the manner of his confession was "surprising" to her.
She implied that Armstrong, stripped of seven Tour de France titles after a Usada report placed him at the heart of the "most sophisticated doping programme sport has ever seen", had been more candid than she expected. "He did not come clean in the manner I expected. I was surprised," said Winfrey, who said that Armstrong was highly prepared and had "certainly prepped himself".
Winfrey, who said that the interview will now be broadcast over two days rather than one, said she was "satisfied with the answers". She added: "He was just ready … he met the moment."
The interview will be aired on Winfrey's OWN network in the US and the Discovery Channel in the UK and she said it was the biggest she has ever done. "A couple of times he was emotional but emotional doesn't begin to describe the intensity and the difficulty he had talking about these issues," she told CBS.
Winfrey also said she did not allow Armstrong's lawyers in the room while they were recording, although he did have a team of people present who would address any issues they had afterwards. She said they had none.
Arrangements were made when Winfrey, who has interviewed Armstrong several times before, met with the disgraced cyclist in Hawaii. She had earlier emailed him when the Usada's sensational report was published but he was "not ready" to talk at that point.
The interview was moved to a hotel in Austin after the original plan to film at his house had to be changed because news crews had staked it out. Winfrey told CBS she "hand-carried" the interview tapes "in my bag with dog food" and revealed that during a break in filming Armstrong asked: "Will there be a point where you lighten up?"
It is the first time Armstrong has given an interview since he lost his titles, was dropped by sponsors and pilloried by the public for his part in a doping conspiracy that spanned more than a decade and was described in excoriating detail in a 202–page report by Usada.
The Texan is at the centre of several ongoing legal disputes, amid renewed speculation that he would repay some of the millions of dollars that US Postal invested in his team, while the Sunday Times is suing him for the repayment of a libel settlement the newspaper was forced to pay him over doping allegations.
Since Usada published its "reasoned decision" in October, ratified some weeks later by cycling's much criticised global governing body, the UCI, Armstrong has been deserted by a succession of high-profile supporters and sponsors, including Nike, and lost millions of dollars' worth of endorsements. He has also stepped down from his position as chairman of Livestrong, the charity he established after winning his battle with testicular cancer.

He should have just kept his mouth shut and been done with it all.
-
oprah may have spilled over for this appearance

-
Bastard cheat! I hope he gets cancer or something. - try winning against that Lancey boy
-
I'm waiting for the "One Nut Armstrong" gimmick to show up on here any day now.
P.S.: Oprah, you missed your carb load. Big Mike Cox would like to have a word with you.
;D
-
Fuck that. It's not cheating if everyone is doing it. He wasn't gaining an advantage since everyone in the fucking race was on something
-

i have no problem with him doping. it's a sport where everyone does it... lance outworked those other cyclists.
on ESPN, they're talking about how he used to sue/ruin people who accused him of steroid use. Dude went on Colin's show to talk about how lance sued him into being broke, he was a former teammate who did doping with lance or something. He was telling the truth, and lance ruined him. Lots of stories of lance suing anyone who said they doped with him. Sounds like he was a little crazy in real life, a real dick to people.
-
did he end up banging her after the interview?
-
He still plan on ripping people off their money to feel the need to do what he s doing, or he simply would have shut his mouth and enjoyed his millions. Wonder what he s going to sell next; maybe he wants to host stuff on tv. He ll obviously wont admit to doping and will say everyone else does it tho, but wont go too far as to say it's the same in every single pro sport. There wont be anything "surprising" at all from his "confession". It's all marketing.
The real problem is that people want to see amazing performances and it requires athletes to take drugs, the problem is that most humans are animals and are excited by blood and competition, it lies in our deep intrinsical inner nature. Are athletes going to tell those who support, worship them, they are hypocrits? Doubt it, it's a win win situation, athletes need people to worship them and spectators need athletes to entertain themselves, just like our ancestors enternained themselves watching gladiators.
BTW congrats to winfrey for being three times heavier than armstrong.

ESPN’s Stuart Scott announces on Twitter that his cancer has returned
(http://www.gannett-cdn.com/media/USATODAY/USATODAY/2013/01/14/usp-nfl_-green-bay-packers-at-seattle-seahawks-4_3_r536_c534.jpg?1b79b3da202957124496e3768cfb7b67cdb10c81)
ESPN anchor Stuart Scott has announced that his cancer has returned. On Monday evening, he wrote on Twitter:
"Blessed by prayers..I'm back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I'll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG"
Amid tweets of sympathy from followers, including Robert Griffin III and Jason Taylor, Scott remained upbeat. "Thanks for prayers..ill fight w ALL C survivors & loved ones. Cancer wants to re-appear..picked the right guy cuz I HIT HARD all day long!!" He gave his followers a look inside his routine: "Here's what I do right aftr chemo. Leave the infusion center & go STRAIGHT 2 either do a p90x wkout or train MMA..THATS how you #LIVESTRONG"
According to Touched By Cancer magazine, Scott first took ill in 2007 while at a Monday Night Football game. An emergency appendectomy revealed the presence of appendiceal cancer. After six months of chemo, Scott was cancer-free until early 2011. At that time, doctors discovered that malignant tumors had developed on his small intestine. More surgery and chemotherapy treated the cancer, but it has apparently returned again.
“Cancer sucks, and the effects of chemotherapy suck, and you’re going to feel like crap sometimes,” he said last year. “But you’re going to feel like that whether you’re lying in bed or going to work or working out, so you might as well go out there and live your life. If you believe you’re not being touched by this, then it’s much better."
He continued: “I love my job. Those of us who do what we do, we’re blessed. Being on when you don’t feel well is not the challenge. I love writing. I love creating our shows every night. And by the time it’s time to go on, you’re charged. And when you’re going through something like this, going to work helps. Having that energy helps. Having a positive mindset helps.”
Best wishes to Scott in his fight.

Winfrey: 'He did not come clean in the manner I had expected'
This statement confirms that there will still be doubt as to whether or not Lance's alleged "coming clean" to Oprah will be considered an admission of guilt. I expect Lance to say something like "I made some mistakes which I regret" or that kind of thing, but as the statement says, he will not truly come clean and admit it directly. Trust me on that. I predict that after the 2-part interviews are over, views will be left with a "what the fuck?" feeling, that they were not duped by Lance Armstrong, but duped by the media hype that they would actually get to see Lance confess, when it's becoming clear that it won't be a true confession after all.
-
exactly
-
ik kom klar
-
Without competing, Lance is a lost soul and has nothing in life(outside of his monetary value). His ego needs to be stroked so going on Oprah is his way of(possibly) being able to compete in triathlons after confessing. Plus, by going on Oprah, he knows that the millions of people(whom dont even follow cycling) will forgive him and use the *aww, just leave poor Lance alone* excuse. Hes appearing in front of the perfect demographic audience to gain some fans again. He is a master strategist.
-
He should have just kept his mouth shut and been done with it all.
I think he should have admitted it from the get go.

He's an attention whore to the max.
-
He's going to use the cancer as an excuse for using something...I wouldn't even doubt it if he throws out the "I felt like a lesser man with one testicle" and doctors told me I could never produce the same amount of testosterone as a normal man. And most of the housewives who watch the OWN network will sympathize with Armstrong. He's a scammer to the end.

This, on all counts. Of course he wouldn't admit to doping. But ruining other dopers while he was juiced to the gills himself is fucking low. I hope everyone he tried to ruin sues the shit out of him.

That's the sticking point. Lance has to 'confess' without then opening up himself to be ruined/counter-sued in return. I'm sure he'll be %100 lawyered up to make sure this doesn't happen.

Didnt someone say on here that maybe even his cancer might have been faked?
well...
Investigation Reveals Lance Armstrong Never Had Cancer
Champion cyclist Lance Armstrong faked his battle with cancer in a shocking effort to gain millions in endorsement deals, The Daily Currant can exclusively reveal.
According to a soon-to-be-released report from the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Armstrong used doping doctors to falsify his medical records - fooling sponsors and the public into believing he had recovered from a cancer which had never even existed. ..

This "Mea culpa" is ridiculous and will not endear him to anyone. He should have just walked away and gone on to work with Cancer research or whatever without the public eye on him. There is a part of him that is unable to do that because he can`t separate his identity from his sport and nor can the general public. The best thing to do is go gentle into the good night.

I agree... He could have done so much good, but instead, he's busy trying to "save face".
What's the point in it... It will not change anyone's opinion of him and no matter how many "titles" people strip from him... At the end of the day, he came in first at the TDF many many times... Even if the cycling shills want to try to deny it.
-

they all do, im never suprised, i dont really think anyone is, the media just makes people suprised.

why do people wear moisturisers= to look younger
why do people wear fake tan = to look better
why do people take hgh = to look and feel better

We all want to be better, look better, feel better, fuck natural athletes, how boring. I support Lance, just not his decision to be on oprah the fat bitches show.

There were actually people on this site who said he was clean. lol...So many people's view on the world came crashing down today. Armstrong was a stone cold sociopath in the Oprah interview. He didn't even try to tear up or anything.

Truth! Not only that, but the sickening irony of having a bloated, sickle celled, fat coated, watermelon who couldn't ride a bicycle 100 yards downhill, questioning a man who won the Tour de France 7 times. Madness.

I like that he didn't...On ESPN some reporter was crying..."he lied to my face, and i lied to my readers, what i saw today was a sociopath with no regrets" fuckstick reporters always making about them and their make believe integrity and then turn around and print shit they don't know dick about (steroids) and things from anonymous sources.
Lance was pretty stand up in he didn't point the finger at everyone else and use the level playing field argument, which is the truth and I personally would have been fine with it.
I think he made a mistake, he doesn't owe anyone anything.

The tens of millions watching saw Armstrong reveal:
•he took performance-enhancing drugs in each of his Tour wins from 1999-2005
•doping was "part of the process required to win the Tour"
•he did not feel he was cheating at the time and viewed it as a "level playing field"
•he did not fear getting caught
•"all the fault and blame" should lie with him
•he was a bully who "turned on" people he did not like
•his cancer fight in the mid-1990s gave him a "win-at-all costs" attitude
•he would now co-operate with official inquiries into doping in cycling.
-
WOW i did not expect that from you, great post. :)
Thanks my friend, you have some gems yourself buddy.
-
I was watching Espn, they mentioned he had 2 attorneys with him, Crisis manager and a host of PR reps, every word he said was calculated and methodically worded to a T.
Once again i have no clue why is this even a big issue, im in Australia, someone gets caught lying or steroids or whatever, they lose there job, thats it. In America you need to face Congress, go on some fat fucks show (didnt this bitch retire) and be dragged through hell, his lucky Superbowl is on soon and America is very forgetful.
I see people with cancer crying cause they feel they have been duped, fucken idiots, people idolize people just because they are on TV. They have Cancer and there biggest problem is lance, just die already. I support Lance, he did what he had to, i dont know why he admitted to it though, he must have a ace up his sleeve.

Pretty sure you have a swimmer who failed a drug test, retired before it came out then tried to sue the French newspaper who said he failed the test.

Ian Thorpe, still a hero till this day, the media black it out, how dare you say a australian athlete took PED's. We need heroes.
-
Lance is a LEGEND, he doesn't regret doping, he WON 7 Tour de Frances, if he had never doped he would just be another cycling nobody that no-one had ever heard of. Ever heard of Ben Johnson, nobody would have heard of him if he hadn't taken PED's. The only option an athlete has today is to take PED's, no point playing otherwise.

::)
when they start dope testing the nfl 100%, then i'll pay attention to these stories. anyway at least lance gets to keep his millions. fuck the trophies and t-shirts.

I dont think so, i think he really believes people are going to be nice to him etc, but in fact he s a sociopath he just wants to know how far he can go, just like with cycling, he s oblivious to the fact prolly nobody will ever give him the time of the day as from now.
He s prolly right, assholes just like him wont care, but honnest people are done with him once and for all. He basically kiled himself live on tv. This is positive tho, it s a good step in the right direction for mankind. For him as an individual? not so sure. I was surprised, at how lost he looked. He was forced by others to say the truth, he didnt choose to, for someone who s used to control everything like him, must be quite devastating.

"I have always tried to be an honest sportsman." -Eddy Merckx
"Tried" is the keyword here :-\

I found the bio-passport results interesting, considering his strongly voiced protest that he didn't dope in 2009 and 2010.
Could it be that he's just a genetic freak? And he doped too, making him the GOAT?
The people who cry foul or act shocked or call for his head are downright disappointments to the human race for lacking the critical thinking skills needed to stay alive. They shouldn't decry Lance...they should thank an altruistic world that allows them to live with sub-normal intelligence. 10000 years ago these same idiots would be the ones who walk into a saber-toothed tiger's den whistling Dixie. Now they can live and permeate the airwaves with their droning drivel.
Lance is a cycling god and wasn't using anything anyone wasn't (or wouldn't, if they could). He's a paid entertainer, and is there for one purpose: to entertain people with his athletic skill. One shouldn't care how he does it, or why...one should just marvel at the exploits. And be smart and strong enough as a parent to explain to the kids that "yes, isn't it amazing. By the way, you have to use a ton of drugs with a whole bunch of needles and might shorten your life to do that Junior...".
But no one wants to parent anymore. No one wants to think anymore. The nanny-state is enabled by idiots who want the media and sports to put forward only stalwarts and bastions of goodness and the American way. I'd rather see the truth. Not as some media or sporting agency wants me to see it, but as it really is. I suppose that's too much to ask.
Lance just did it better. We should celebrate his ability to succeed and win at all costs.
I can't believe people get so upset about this stuff. Hasn't anyone learned that putting a professional entertainer (that's what he is) up on a pedastal is a shaky idea?
Good lord, the slack-jawed mouth-breathing unthinking sheeple out there really do scare me sometimes.

then the chicken nugget eating Jamaican........... when will people ever learn!!!
i love how all the brit medal winner cyclists have crawled out the woodwork to downplay drug use, then fail to mention that every single rider in the top ten of the toure de france have sice failed or been implicated
cycling is right up there with bodybuilding to be totaly drug dependant
-
I like that he didn't...On ESPN some reporter was crying..."he lied to my face, and i lied to my readers, what i saw today was a sociopath with no regrets" fuckstick reporters always making about them and their make believe integrity and then turn around and print shit they don't know dick about (steroids) and things from anonymous sources.
Lance was pretty stand up in he didn't point the finger at everyone else and use the level playing field argument, which is the truth and I personally would have been fine with it.
I think he made a mistake, he doesn't owe anyone anything.
I agree...I have more respect for Lance today just for the simple fact that he didn't pull a Tiger Woods and try to tear up and hug his mom in front of reporters. Lance basically just admitted it but was telling everyone that this is the way the world of cycling is.
-
Thought it was awesome when he said he didn't consider it cheating. Basically telling the tub of goo that how can it be cheating when EVERYONE is doing the same shit.

A mistake? Really? ::) A mistake that went on in excess of 13 years. oy ::) That arrogant prick ruined countless careers and reputations with his denials and lawsuits. And he doesn't doesn't owe anyone anything? Right.
He also admitted to mistreating people as he tried to preserve the cover-up.
"Yeah, I was a bully," Armstrong said.
Not only did he attack those who told the truth about him, he sued them when they did. At one point, when Winfrey asked him if he had sued Emma O'Reilly, a former team masseuse who told of his doping, Armstrong wasn't sure. "To be honest, Oprah, we sued so many people," he said.

If everybody cheats suddenly it becomes not cheating??? Cheating is still cheating no matter how many (whether it is one or all) are doing it.
-
There were actually people on this site who said he was clean. lol...So many people's view on the world came crashing down today. Armstrong was a stone cold sociopath in the Oprah interview. He didn't even try to tear up or anything.
He shouldn't. The man did nothing wrong. For the record i always knew he was cheating. We all are to some extent.
-
We all are to some extent.
Is the guy who has access to better nutrition and training facilities cheating on the guys who dont?
Surely all those things give him an edge over the competition.

I care about the actual doping. I care about fucks like armstrong who, all together, perpetuate the idea that you can obtain superhuman results with just "hard work and determination".
Of course we're all older and wiser here on getbig ::), but once upon a time I'm pretty sure most of us (along with most of everyone else) thought they could get big and strong and look like a million bucks with just a little sweat and blood. Well, that's a load of bullshit. There are a million factors involved, the least of which is one's willingness to work to achieve their goals. Anyone who routinely goes to the gym for years on end has sufficient willingness, and yet most who do still look like shit. I'd be willing to bet most of them also actually believe the reason they look like shit is because they haven't got their training right, or their diet, or this or that... because of jackasses like armstrong, skip lacour, kiyoshi moody, CT Fletcher, and so on... the list is so staggeringly long, it practically involves everyone who performs at a high level in any physical activity.
The belief in "hard work" is extremely strong, almost as strong as it is stupid, and needs to die. This can only happen if fucks like Lance get their due.
-
I agree ^^^ this video will make you disgusted at ALL sports

I watched both interview pieces, Lance is still lying.
I am 100 % certain of this.

There are probably only six or eight guys that can win the Tour de France and all are taking the same shit. Lance's shit wasn't any better than anyone else's, he just outworked everyone else and wanted it more and was willing to endure more pain. Pick any strength or endurance sport and this applies to everyone who stands on the podium.

this whole paragraph has absolutely NOTHING to do with what i wrote. i couldn't care less about who "won" some shitty cycling competition. if it were up to me, all PED would be completely legal in every country and sporting organization. the only thing i'm talking about is the false ideas these scammers promote in place of the truth -- PED + natural ability are the critical factors that are not spoken of, NOT protein powders and rep schemes. Over and over and over kids hear "train hard, eat right" when in most cases they are training plenty hard, and eating just fine... conveniently lance and friends forgot to tell them about the grams of shit you have to inject and the fact that not everyone is born a special little snowflake.
The bolded part shows you have absolutely no fucking clue what you're talking about. Lance won because he "endured more pain" than everyone else... ahahahahahahahah christian thinking at its finest. If you think for one second that runners up 2-10 lost to lance because they lacked the willpower to "fight through the pain", you are delusional beyond belief.
-

We are also told you can do anything, women can do what men can do, Black men can do what White men can do, and this is proven false (100 metre sprints). They don't promote anything, they go as hard as they can then make a decision if they want to keep going or give up. They can't say they juice, Lance didn't create the world full of dumbshits, he just played the game.

So you want to tell kids they have to juice right from the start if they want to make it big? Yeah okay, why not tell them that Santa Claus is a lie when they are six years old.
Why do you think Ronnie was the GOAT? Watch his training sessions and compare them to Dillets. Now you know what hard work means.
-
So you want to tell kids they have to juice right from the start if they want to make it big? Yeah okay, why not tell them that Santa Claus is a lie when they are six years old.
Better to not tell kids their is a SANTA in the first place. Have you ever questioned WHY people do this?

what does oprah have to do with professional cycling and WADA?
i dont get the connection

And yet Dillet was a better bodybuilder than other hundreds of thousands that worked their butts off. How does that compute?
-
The truly shitty thing Armstrong did was viciously go after and sue people who were right about his doping. He didn't just wave their statements off, he went after them with in court with gusto and in most cases won.
There was a nursing couple in a hospital that talked about the drug usage they heard Lance confessing to a doctor. They were fired, sued and found it difficult to find work. Scumbag move x 100!
-

Dillet never won anything that matters, although I wouldn't mind having his pyhsique (white version) ;D

You are missing his point. He chose 2 guys with pretty even genetics and one guy got more cause of work ethics. Or put it this way if 2 people have even genetics and have the same stats and are juiced to gills, basically all things being even then the one who works harder will get slightly better results.
What Orion is trying to say is that everyone is juiced at the top of any field and everyone has amazing genetics at the top of every field, in fact it is pretty even up there among the top guys so workload and discipline will make a difference. We know this to be true cause often when you see a guy that is placing well in any particular field and then has a bad year, slips several places, obviously he did not slip a few placings due to taking less juice. He slipped because he slacked off.
-

Yes 100% agree. Fuck he is still a hero ped or not, who cares, he did not do anything different then any other cyclist but he is a piece of shit for suing people. He should have just ignored them, so I disagree with you Rome about sumbag move x100, more like scumbag move x 1 000 000 :D
-
Yeah okay, why not tell them that Santa Claus is a lie when they are six years old.
Better to not tell kids their is a SANTA in the first place. Have you ever questioned WHY people do this?
World economy would collapse without Christmas. ;D
The whole SANTA thing is a can of worms, but essentially their are ways to promote generosity without deceiving Children. It has been shown that children become more deceitful once they discover they have been duped by their parents and the rest of society. This is a morally questionable behaviour by the people entrusted to raise and help guide a child to become an ethical human being.
Notice that the deceit about Santa Claus is part of a larger pattern: the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, being the two main other culprits. Together with these other incidents, the child is likely to draw the inference that lying is thought to be permissible in many cases beyond the Santa Claus situation. The safe option is to not lie about Santa Claus. Not lying to the child about something has no tendency to encourage the child to lie in areas beyond the mere Santa Claus case. Inviting the child to pretend there is a Santa Claus involves no element of deceit whatsoever. It therefore has no danger of leading the child to lie more.
-
If everybody cheats suddenly it becomes not cheating??? Cheating is still cheating no matter how many (whether it is one or all) are doing it.
I see your point...The baseball Hall of Fame is keeping people out who used steroids...They call it cheating...However, almost everyone in the baseball hall of fame are cheaters themselves by today's standards because of all the speed/coke etc they used. Let alone how almost all the power hitters used illegal corked bats. Point being, everyone in professional sports looks for a competitive edge.
-

Humans are hypocrits, they constantly pretend they are fair and "better" than animals, when they re just animals who are conscious of being animals ... but pretend not to be. Fact is our subconscious is a bunch of animal preprogrammations we do not even choose. And we re all led by our subconscious in the race for survival.
The point of life is to eat or be eaten until you can reproduce, then teach your strategies of survival to your offspring. Successfuly surviving and dominating others make you feel good, failing to do so makes you feel bad. And whatever our skin color we re all wired the same way, and there will be wars on earth as long as people will be different, unequal. The irony is that life constantly generates inequality. We all pretend to not understand that, and we all do our best to keep our minds focused on things that will insure our survival -always at the expense of someone else survival-.
Armstrong felt the need to tell the truth because he wanted more attention and prolly wants to sell some shit afterawrds, or get a position as a host on tv or whatever. He incarnates everything that is deeply wrong with our inner bestiality coming to the surface. The irony is most people will despise him now he spilled the beans , while they were acclaiming him when he was BEATING the competition, which actually made them feel good, sititng behind their TV. Complete hypocrisy.

It's called advertising. I started using Axe body wash a few months ago hoping the babes would be all over me just like they say, hey, it's right on the label, so it has to be true, right? Hasn't quite panned out that way, maybe I'm not using it right. ;D
Actually it's called false advertising.
No one ever died or melted their internal organs using Axe body spray

I take it from your screen name you ride? I personally know four guys who have been royally fucked up riding. One of the reasons I stopped. Don't know anyone who got fucked up bodybuilding. Whatever floats your boat.
-
I hope he does go to federal prison.
I hope he doesn't. There they strip you naked amongst inflicting other humiliations on you. A legend like Lance doesn't deserve that sort of barbaric treatment.

Arnold did okay. Franco, Chris Dickerson (he is an opera singer, believe it or not) Banout, Clairmont, Platz, just a few off the top of my head. Sure guys like Dorian and Ronnie may have gotten fucked up but a lot less severve than most NFL players.

This is a great picture.

they won't give baseball players, track athletes and cyclist a break, but turn a blind eye to the JUICED UP national felon league, which would look like Div II football, if they instituted olympic style drug testing.
Go Lance!

Why would be to to jail?

From a legal prospective, Lance coming clean was a terrible decision. He's now going to be sued into the Stone age.

no pro athlete including Lance can cheat on their own. the entire administration has to be in on it and allow it. he was given clearance to dope because he was a good image for the sport. now, he must have stopped following the agenda and pissed someone off.

drugs or not, he still had to work his ass ball off to achieve what he did, so PROPS to him

He had Dr. Michele Ferrari.
A doctor who was banned by UCI. Check it out.
Anyone with a brain could connect the dots years ago.

He lied for years. So now he's telling the truth?
Who gives a shit, really?
-
A mistake?
Yup - guy is obviously an asshole.
-
Fiction :D
-
Humans are hypocrits, they constantly pretend they are fair and "better" than animals, when they re just animals who are conscious of being animals ... but pretend not to be.

So you want to tell kids they have to juice right from the start if they want to make it big? Yeah okay, why not tell them that Santa Claus is a lie when they are six years old.
YES, WHY THE HELL NOT?
Why do you think Ronnie was the GOAT? Watch his training sessions and compare them to Dillets. Now you know what hard work means.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH this could not be more ironic. Ronnie and Dillet are perfect examples to prove MY point. Dillet had a shitty back and couldn't pose, THAT's why he lost to Ronnie... WTF did either of these things have to do with what he did in the gym? NOTHING!!!! Hard work had LESS THAN NOTHING to do with the separation between these two.
Do you not think Dillet trained his back as "hard" as he did his arms, delts, or quads... all of which were FUCKING RIDICULOUS and in the all-time-best-of short list? Do you think he could somehow manage to starve and dehydrate himself to the point of near-death and even petrification, but somehow lack the willpower to yell out a few "light weights" and do an 800 lb deadlift or two?
The fact is, we're born, we lift weights, we eat, we inject drugs, and then we pray for the best. What goes on "underneath the hood" is pretty much a complete mystery at this point in time. For Dillet, it was the luck of the draw: weak back and little body control. Oh well, we can't all be Big Ron. Except WE CAN all train like him, it's EASY to be an animal in the gym. All you have to do is believe it will give you huge muscles. I see it all the time, and you can too: just look in any gym in America. There's this guy who trains in my gym, lanky-ass arms and a monstrous barrel torso. Natural, and absolutely 0 bodybuilding potential. Think Dan Hill's arms and Gutler's waist. And yet you can see him, day in, day out slaving away, pounding HEAVY weights for hours, with his "ANIMAL" shirt.
Why does he do it? Can't he see he was born with absolutely fuck-all in the "gene" department? That the pounds he's been packing on have been going straight to his obliques, not his 16.5 inch pipe cleaners (which haven't budged the tape in years)?
Maybe it's because everyone and their mother has been shouting "HARD WORK MAKES CHAMPIONS", "GO BIG OR GO HOME", "LIGHT WEIGHT BUDDDDDDYYYYY" down his ear since birth? Meanwhile Hannibal for King is off playing on the monkey bars with his "all-natural" 19 in arms, ripped to the bone on KFC and weed.

So your 14 year old son comes to you and tells you he wants to do track and field. So you say, " Son, pull down your pants, you'll never be any good with out this!" as you pull out a syringe. Do the world a favour and don't reproduce.
As for Ronnie and Dillet, are you trying to tell me that Dillet who was blessed with great arms, and shoulders and legs somehow missed out on the back gene? LOL. Dillet was alright but Ronnie looked like he was carved out of granite. Maybe if Dillet had done the really hard nasty exercdises that no one likes to do like heavy barbell rows and heavy T bar rows and deadlifts then maybe he could have had a back like Ronnie. You ain't going to get a back like Ronnies doing Lat pulldowns!
-

Some people literally did that, forcing their kids to do many things early in their childhood. Not everyone is meant to excell.
Steroids are nothing compared to what aspiring pianists or figure skaters go through in their childhood.

::) I'll tell him to go play with all the other kids and try his best. If he's mediocre and starts exhibiting obsessive, delusional behavior as he desperately tries to claw his way to the top, I'll tell him to calm the hell down -- he's not black, after all.

YES, I AM SAYING THAT. FFS, HOW CAN YOU BE SO STUPID? Dillet was one of the absolute top bodybuilders in the world. DO YOU REALLY THINK HE WAS "TOO LAZY" TO DO T-BAR ROWS AND DEADLIFTS? WTF ARE YOU SMOKING? What person in their right mind, being say the #3 or 4 bodybuilder in the world, knowing they had a weak back, wouldn't try everything in the fucking book (AND TEN OTHER BOOKS) to bring it up? "Ahhh... I wanted to be #1 but just couldn't bring myself to do an extremely common exercise that hundreds of thousands of athletes across the country do every day!"
IN WHAT WORLD DOES THIS HAPPEN?
And LOL @ thinking Dillet "somehow missing out on the back gene" is unlikely. I'm not even saying it has anything to do with genetics. Could have been a nerve problem, or any number of things.
Just to show how stupid you sound:
As for Ronnie and Dillet, are you trying to tell me that Ronnie who was blessed with great arms, and shoulders and legs somehow missed out on the calf gene? LOL.
As for Nasser and Dorian, are you trying to tell me that Nasser who was blessed with great arms, and shoulders and legs somehow missed out on the back gene? LOL.
As for Jay and Branch, are you trying to tell me that Branch who was blessed with a great chest, and shoulders and legs somehow missed out on the arms gene? LOL.
I could go on all night... a missing back is one of the most common problems in bodybuilding. I suppose none of these people want to do "hard exercises"?
My back sucks, and I deadlift religiously, t-bar rows, pullups, the whole 9 yards. These are actually my best lifts too.

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/aug/25/lance-armstrong-settles-sunday-times (http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/aug/25/lance-armstrong-settles-sunday-times)
Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has reached a settlement with the Sunday Times, which he sued for £1m after it published an article suggesting he was using performance-enhancing drugs before his confession.
The multiple winner of the Tour de France admitted last year to doping during his career, revealing his repeated denials were "one big lie".
The American sued the newspaper nine years ago for libel following the article, seeking damages from the chief sports writer David Walsh and deputy sports editor at the time, Alan English.
The Sunday Times was forced to settle the claim in 2006 and agreed to pay Armstrong £300,000, the newspaper reported.
But after his confession the paper launched a high court bid to return the money, plus £720,000 in costs, and has reached a confidential settlement, the newspaper said today.
It said Walsh and English had "reached a mutually acceptable final resolution to all claims against Lance Armstrong related to the 2012 high court proceedings and are entirely happy with the agreed settlement, the terms of the which remain confidential."

Lance Armstrong hit parked cars
February 4, 2015, 9:57 AM
DENVER -- Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong hit two parked cars with an SUV after a night of partying in Aspen, Colorado, but agreed to let his longtime girlfriend take the blame to avoid national attention, police reports show.
Police cited Armstrong with failing to report an accident and speeding weeks after the Dec. 28 accident, but only after his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, acknowledged lying for him.

THE ARMSTRONG LIE was truly a great doc with a quite a revealing insight into the mind of a egotistical megalomaniac. the web of lies and deceit spun by this man was quite wonderous to behold. the way he'd fuck up anyone that crossed him, including teammates, was without mercy .plus the tour de france footage was stunning in hd. worth watching for that alone if you're a fan of the tour.

He took what was necessary to win the Tour.
Maybe no more or less than the other cyclists he was competing against.
As for his lying, pretty much forced into that by all the media & ex athletes
Double standards & lying.
He did win 7 tours.!!!
Why the hate for him.
As for the car crash incident possibly he was over the drink drive limit.
Or thought he could avoid all the bad media coverage by getting her to
Take the blame.

Possibly he had access to something the others didn't.
Maybe he was the the best cyclist at that time.
As others that have dominated their chosen sport for a number of consecutive years,
There are many examples.
Also he concentrated on the Tour de France above other cycling events.
Although not a distance cyclist myself I respect his achievements.

That's not true. Read USADA's report on his ass: The guy had the whole system rigged to the point that 1) Lance was actually paying (donating money to the UCI) for the machines that were to test his blood + urine and, 2) he was informed of upcoming tests by the UCI. He literally had Pat McQuaid (president of the UCI at the time) in his payroll.
The guy was "glowing" all through the Tour de France, while the others had to scale back (on PEDs) months in advance of the TdF to make sure they weren't testing positive.
If you read the report you will notice he did everything in his pocket/power to make sure it wasn't a leveled playing field. He would find out about a guy taking x-substance and he will quickly tell the UCI, which will in turn tell WADA, that x-cyclist was taking x-substance. And, SURE FUCKING ENOUGH, WADA would test x-cyclist for x-substance even though it wasn't even on the testing protocol.
Heck, even when handed his ass back he had that Contador guy test positive by ensuring his team gave him something contaminated.
He is a F. R. A. U. D. in every sense of the letter.

Ok. Fair point.
How do we know that other teams & cyclists were not doing the very same things
As Lance to help them.
We Don't.
It's just the USA had a melt down over P.E.D's in sport.
I don't see the Russians, Chinese, East Germans, or other country's having a melt down.
We now have UK team sky dominating the Tour for 2 years, suddenly out of nowhere the
All Natural UK team are the Best.
Yes of course they are totally Natural. ::)

AND, on one of his Road to the Tour shows, while doing a tour of the house he was living in in Spain, a getbig.com friend of mine who was also watching the show actually pointed out that he had a box of Humatrope in his fridge door.

Yes, I totally agree. I mean Sky are such a farce they didn't even hide the fact that they were following the US Postal model. They are juiced to the gills. Their main TdF guy now even dopes during the competition (inhales xenon):

Hey slapper - are you an idiot in real life, or do you just play one on the internet?
Froome is pictured using an asthma inhaler. The big deal was he claimed he had a TUE (therapeutic use exemption) but it was given last minute. And Xenon inhalation during the ride? lol - sure Since Xenon doesn't benefit you DURING exertion, you would never do that. Its taken nightly. And of course its banned now, for whatever use that will do.
As for all the other competitors "dialing down" the PED's during the Tour and Lance running full gas - did your mom tell you this? The team used the same protocol for the big tours, and Lance used 1/3 what they did. Yes, i know the full regimen in detail, from the source. Jan Ullrich, Ivan Basso, you name it, used the same stuff. Lance was flat out stronger. His ex teammates will tell you this if you ever been on a training ride with him.
As for Sky being on gas all the time - show us your proof. I mean other than fantasizing while jerking off to Marco Pantani tapes.
Oh and your Contador conspiracy theory, lol. I suppose you also buy Hamilton's bs too

It's just another big, crooked business... and, LA was the leader of the cycling mafia.
-
I'm pretty sure using xenon gas during the race would be like injecting EPO during the race. That's not the way you would use it.
Also, I don't think xenon is a banned substance.
-
Hey slapper - are you an idiot in real life, or do you just play one on the internet?
Neither.
Froome is pictured using an asthma inhaler.
What is known about Froome is that, prior to him becoming a superstar overnight, he was never seen puffing away carelessly as he does now. In fact, no one knew about his asthma until he was asked about his constant puffs, and what usually followed, which was a super attack at inhuman wattage.
This is a guy who, back in 2011, was almost thrown off the Sky team because he simply sucked. All of a sudden he develops asthma, is found to have bilharzia and BADDA BOOM, TdF winner.
I've seen this movie before. You have to be an ingenuous prick to believe this guy is not doping.
The folks at Sky call it "marginal gains". Look, it's no surprise that him not puffing away at this past year's Vuelta had a lot to do with his drop in form. And, believe me, the cameras were on him day and night to catch him in the act. What he WAS clearly doing is taking some sort of bronchodilator. This image is from him at this past year's Dauphiné Libéré "queen" stage that ended at the Col du Béal:

15 minutes later:

Same thing at the Mt Ventoux stage back in 2013: Guy takes a long puff and then does this to a guy who is a KNOWN doper (Contador tested positive for 50 picograms of clenbuterol):
Nígga please.
As for all the other competitors "dialing down" the PED's during the Tour and Lance running full gas - did your mom tell you this?
I didn't say they dialed it down during the TdF, they tapered off prior to the TdF. Lance was full on straight through the TdF. It's a well known fact, it's on USADA's report.
And no, it was your mom that told me this, while she was sucking my 12" love injector.
The team used the same protocol for the big tours, and Lance used 1/3 what they did. Yes, i know the full regimen in detail, from the source. That's not true. OMG! Did you even read the USADA report? The guy had foreknowledge of tests, he was doping on the bus, on his plane, he would buy doping products and hand them over to Johan for subsequent distribution to the other riders, he was involved in the back-of-the-bus $12,000 bike sales, and the money used to buy even more doping products. You show me ONE, just ONE, other team that had this level of sophistication when it came to cheating, including doping.
Look, the body doesn't lie. Take for example Tyler Hamilton. This is how a cyclist looks when ready for the TdF:

Visit cyclingnews.com if you do not believe me. They have a whole section on doping in cycling called The Clinic with lots of good stuff from insiders. And yes, Sky has its own thread. And yes, a recent poll showed that most fans believe Sky cyclists are on a doping program.
And yes, Contador is a doper too, but you tell me how you can physically put 50 picograms of clenbuterol into your system in a 48-hour period. The guy was tested on a Monday and then on a Wednesday: clean as a whistle on Monday and "dirty" on Wednesday.

Not if you take it 25 minutes before you get tested. I mean Froome won that stage. He got to the top before the gas had metabolized.
What is being rumored is that these guy now alternate stages so as to pass every test undetected.
I really do not have specifics but xenon is a well known EPO stimulant, and Froome taking a few puffs of some sort of bronchodilator + the xenon reproduces the effects of exogenous EPO.
Which explains Chris Froome's meteoric rise to fame.

Lance competed in the Tour at under 160. He was no doubt shredded but certainly gaunt like the other riders.
-
He was on some serious shit during the 96 season. He was pushing 180 during the 1996 Olympics. We were shocked at how vascular and how much muscle he was holding for the Olympics(as well as other team mates). I remember seeing him a few months apart and his conditioning completely changed. US really wanted to win that year, but it fell apart.

He definitely competed much heavier before cancer.

To lose weight Tyler took Riis' advice: ride 6-8 hours, afterward drink a bottle of seltzer, and then take a sleeping pill or two to put yourself out until morning. Tyler couldn't generate as much power as Lance but by losing weight he came close to matching him in the mountains that year, 2003. If he hadn't broken his collarbone he'd have done better than 4th.
Lance never had to deprive himself to that extent.

We clearly know the cyclists are using Some Form of P.E.D's
Exactly what I don't have much of an idea as I'm not into long distance cycling.
Zenon from what I have read certainly appears to offer a Big Boost similar to EPO.
Anyone with 'inside' knowledge Please Enlighten us as to what they are Doing.
As for Team Sky & Chris Froome Coming out of Nowhere & winning
Some New Radical Training & Supplement Regime.??
Or a Little More to it than that I would Guess.

I think it's no secret: Microdosing, going to outlandish places to dope (Contador went up to Kilimanjaro this past year during the first team camp,) enriched blood (for future in-race transfusions) is now stored in non-plastic containers just in case WADA or the UCI decide to go ahead with the damn plasticizers test, et cetera.
My take on it is this: Whatever I think there's no way in hell these guys are doing... they probably are. They've already mastered the art of flying under the blood passport radar (very few people are actually given penalties for iffy blood data) so it's no wonder they have to use ultra-sensitive testing machinery to bust anyone.
WADA-wise, I think they've implemented an anti-doping protocol that virtually sucks and is light years behind the dopers. It's too expensive. My suspicion is that they use the blood passport to find markers where potential doping events took place to find out when particular cyclists like to dope and then zero-in on the poor sucker.
