You're argument has nothing to do with the legal basis used to settle this one.
1. A spouse is a persona entered in marriage with another individual. Until today, that other spouse was of the opposite gender.
2. To ban 2 people of same gender from being married is to discriminate on the basis of their gender.
This is a direct violation of the 14th amendment.
Marriage is still limited to 2 people aka spouses.
The only criteria considered by the court was standing.
The side opposed to gay marriage was unable to show any harm being done to those against gay marriage.
Thus, they did not have standing in this case.
I'm no legal scholar, but the 2 main issues were: gender discrimination and standing.

Actually legal marriage is government's issue. The government (albeit state government and county government) issue marriage licenses. A church wedding without a marriage license is not a legal marriage.

You can buy any individual plan you want, although those bogus plans that didn't cover anything major are now gone. But you can choose, if you want, to buy a plan from the exchange, and if your income is limited, you can get government subsidies to purchase the plan. Who does have Obamacare? Poor people. People who couldn't get individual insurance on their own because of pre-existing conditions. They are all pretty happy to have gotten Obamacare.

The couple of bakers and florists that have been sued have been in states where sexual orientation is one of the protected classes in a civil rights ordinance. Religion is also a protected class. How would you feel about a Catholic florist saying I don't provide for Jewish (or Mormon or Muslim) weddings? Or a baker saying I don't do black weddings?

Same here. My homosexual friends in the late 70s and early 80s were were not sissy nellies. They were conservatives that found "pride parades" more than a bit of a disgrace. They never hit on me as they knew we were friends and I am straight. Never did they think it imperative that everyone know they were gay. I've already mentioned that I didn't know of one guy was homosexual until I went to his place and he introduced me to his boyfriend. Both nice guys. Both conservative. Both Republicans. Both men that just happened to prefer men over women.
When asked about gay guys calling drag queens "girls" and saying how hot they were, to a man they all said it was odder than a three legged duck. None of them, especially one that was an attorney, thought it was imperative to lower the age of consent. They found it societally unconscionable.

Nothing new here. By the time most Presidents leave office, they accomplished some serious ticking off.
I cannot speak to the idea that healthcare has become a "train wreck" because I actually pay less for the same coverage I had prior to Obamacare. But then, I never opted for a budget plan. I paid for full coverage and got it. I still get it, only it costs me considerably less than before Obamacare. Incidentally, I don't qualify for government subsidies. My wife's medical bill this year was over $300,000. I paid less than $3,000 out of pocket in medical charges, not including prescription drugs which is another $1,000.

Believe what you will, but you are wrong. Homosexuals are no more likely to be child molesters than heterosexuals.
Homosexuals do have children. Granted they either have them using a surrogate or a sperm donor, unless they adopt. The lesbian couple who lives across the street from me have five young children. They appear to be loving parents. They spend more time with their kids than many other parents do.
Percentage wise, there are likely no more homosexuals then there ever were. There are a lot of homosexuals who no longer hide in the closet because most enlightened society has come to accept them without regard to who they love, physically, romantically and emotionally.

To me they were pretty spoiled, but then I was spoiled too. There is no question in my mine that when couples or single people adopt, they do so because they really want to have children. Adopted children are never an "accident." They are planned.

Law just imposes child support and, perhaps, intervention if the kid hasn't eaten in months. Downside of freedom, I guess.
