Its always a good idea to be defiant , tussle with and ultimately engage in a grappling match with several cops and lastly continue to resist when they pull a gun in your face.
This fool was asking to get shot.

Dude was selling CD's outside of a store and was already pinned and subdued. Both body cameras from both officers fall off and he ends up with bullets in his back??? Store owner states that the officers pulled the weapon out of his back pocket after he was dead.
Well, they asked for this. Baton Rouge is going to blow up

If the store owner is the one that called to cops... and if the store owner witnessed everything and he states that the cops mishandled the whole thing...
The cops will be in big trouble

So the pig planted a weapon ?

magically failing body cameras. Lots of that going on.

they also confiscated the store's security videos that captured the whole thing, how long before that's lost

the store owner didn't call, apparently he and the guy that was killed are long time friends. some rando called because they saw him with a gun...
Wow does that even work if your state has conceal and carry? Do cops really respond to every call fully cocked when everyone's carrying?
-
If it is like the witnesses say, the cop who shot him should be charged immediately. It just looks bad when they put them on "administrative leave" right away and tuck them away. I would think a normal civilian would at least get locked up right afterwards until everything is settled. I understand innocent until proven guilty, but you have to expect some kind of incarceration right after killing someone. Hopefully his partner doesn't lie about the situation so we can get a clear picture of what happened. If the cameras show contrary to his story, fry his fucking ass too. This is all assuming that it went down as the few witnesses say.
-
People who don't comply with police direction are often physically controlled, injured, and sometimes even shot.
Wow. Big surprise.
How about, White Lives Matter. Dindus in the US assault, rob and murder whites at a rate extraordinarily beyond the opposite.
This horseshit is at critical mass.
Maybe if this big, dumb kid had simply responded to direction with compliance and a simple "yes, sir" he'd still be breathing. No officer should risk his safety by lessening the force of response when resistance is plainly observed, only to appease those who don't have a clue.

Well the video already shows that he was slammed on the car and down on the ground in a prone position with the officer's knee on his back. At that point and time, he was of no threat and even with a weapon, he was definitely not in a position to shoot it. It looks bad.
Officers won't be charged most likely as I'm sure there will be a "self defense" argument but it will go down the line with other shootings

Predicate felon in control of a gun decides to draw attention to himself, gets shot in the process. Cue the outrage.
-
As always, don't let them divide us. Not ignoring the loss of life, but remember there is an agenda in effect.
I can go down a list of things that will never get pushed to the headlines and forced down our throat like the obligatory poor black vs empowered white.
This is number one on the list of the puppet master to push on us. They prey off history and simply will not allow wounds of the past to heal so we can become united.

The video shows nothing close to what you stated. The video I watched shows him being slammed on the ground in the supine position, cop A holding his left arm, and cop B leaning on his chest while trying to control his right arm. The victim's right arm breaks free, and is unclear where it goes. His right arm appears to be reaching for his right side. Cop B yells "gun, he's got a gun". Cop A pulls his service weapon and points it at him. He continues to struggle, and gun shots can be heard.
The store owner stated that after the shooting, the cops retrieved a handgun from his pocket.
Which video did you watch? ???
-
Love it! The dead fuck is yet another diehard Dindu!
This life definitely DOES NOT matter.
So happy he was shot and killed. The officers should receive applause for ridding their streets of this menace. And the scumbag's five children are most certainly better off without him, even though they, too, will likely be more trouble than they're worth. Based off overwhelming statistics.
Justice sometimes is served.
-
310lbs at 5'11ft. Would have made a solid getbigger with those stats.

Dude, did you watch the video? That was straight up murder. Regardless of how many kids he has, or his criminal record, he didn't deserve to be shot like that. He was under control. It was unnecessary and causes an escalation of an already sensitive issue. Plus the added negative attention by the media that profits off of this.
-
Yes, he did deserve to die. And die the Dindu did.
Whether it was "lawful" or not, societal justice was served.
Fuck 'im.

Video I had was too dark. He's on his front side and not his back. Still no explanation as to whether it would have been a good shot or not.
But like I said...still no conviction will be handed out....self defense. But it looks bad and Baton Rouge is going to explode
-
People mad that some piece of human trash was shot and killed.
Oh, brother. ::)
If he survived, how many more children would he have fathered (and likely abandoned)/molested, folks would he have harmed/traumatized/burdened, tax dollars wasted on him, resources stretched, etc.?
The fuck was taken out of the equation. May maggots make a comfy condo out of his skull.

LittleJ is mad due to the fact that he is created from the same mold as the perp.

Give me a break. 2 or 3 white kids were CONVICTED OF RAPE and basically SET FREE the other day. Now this guy basically deserves to get executed for his past?
You're just looking for a reason to be racist. Be honest about who you really are.

He is lucky that the father of the under-aged child didn't murder him years ago.
I say that for any sex offender: white, black, yellow, brown, red
-
Now this guy basically deserves to get executed for his past?
Every low class piece of shit bellows this ::). How about certain people quit looking for an excuse to "Keep it real" when they are in the wrong. The guy has multiple violent felony arrests, and has the law called out on him for threatening someone with a gun. On top of that he gets into it with the cops while having a gun on his person.

Condolences to the family..

You're post are getting old. Stick to posting naked women.

Hopefully there will be an HONEST investigation, but on the face of it, looks like an execution to me.

And die the Dindu did.
What a beautiful bit of poetry. :D

Yet if he wouldn't have fought with the poh-lease he would still be alive today. Funny how that works.
I'm sure he a good boy, just need more money for dem programs.

I just watched video from bystanders. Cop said you move, i'll fcking kill you. dude says please don't shoot me. then he puts 5 in his chest. dude does a left arm death tremor as he expires.
cop needs to be charged.... anyone whose body camera "malfunctioned" should be fired on the spot.
-
Why didn't the dindu bystander stop filming and help subdue the suspect?
-
Hopefully there will be an HONEST investigation, but on the face of it, looks like an execution to me.
When the cops investigate themselves they usually find nothing wrong.
-
Can't tell everyone's hand positions from this. He doesn't need to be waving the thing around, there just needs to be a fear that the gun was going to be brought into play.
Here are the 911 tapes for the call that brought them there - http://wgno.com/2016/07/06/police-release-911-calls-that-led-to-alton-sterlings-death/ .
1) Cops roll on a gun call.
2) They have prior knowledge that the suspect has the gun in pants pocket.
3) At the scene they engage suspect, suspect is combative.
4) It goes to ground, cops are on top of him, but they don't have control of his hands. Pistol is in his right pants pocket.
How quickly can you get to your pants pocket lying down? It's not that hard even if you're tussling with someone.
This was a good shoot.
-
I pray everyone in your family die a horrible death.
Are these the kinda prayers your Dindu god normally grants?

Really don't think it has ANYTHING to do with the gun he was trying to grab?
Really?
-
Let's push the cops around, make their job even harder, and see how far you can take it, then bitch about police brutality and injustice.
-
Condolences to the family of the cop.
This.
Probably gonna be a rough summer.
-
I saw no gun being pulled from the guys pocket...nothing?
He may have had a gun, but that would have been a good time to take it and have it on camera.
The cops were justified in their actions, if he had a gun.
It looks bad on camera though...with no gun being shown. On each side, people see what they want. Similar to the cop in Ferguson, the black guy was massive. This only heightens a cops nervousness.
I remember that shooting in the subway where the cop said he was reaching for a taser...then just executed the guy.
2 notes...don't carry a gun, when a cop confronts you...just listen and don't resist. You simply open yourself up to getting shot and it being justified.
It's crazy how many cameras are rolling here. Cops must hate cell phones. Video doesn't lie.
-
None of us can see what he's doing or not doing with his right hand but don't let that hold up the big pissing contest.

Thought for sure "He's reaching for a GUN!" was gonna follow your "then."
But no. Full of surprises, huh?
-
in the new video looks like a good shoot! Unfortunate someone had to die but thems the breaks when you a) resist the cops b) try and pull the illegal firearm you have in your possesion...remember kiddies this isnt the movies he doesnt have to have the gun in his hand out of his pocket..if hes trying to gain control of his weapon and the cop fears for his life case over DPF can be used...sorry to say but one less headache is walking around right now
-
One less criminal on the streets.
-
"He's reaching for a/your gun!" Basically a que to the other cop...shoot this guy.
Trump needs to get out in front of this one and bring up his rally where he said, "There's my African American over there." Haha, gold. Don't stop with the Orlando speech...it's time to up his game. Black people love Trump already. I feel this will solidify his standing with them.

1) Nor did we. Fortunately he was shot before he displayed it.
2) Agreed. Bystander certainly should've asked the officer to bring said weapon over to his or her GoPro for verification.
Well done, sir.
-
dont have to display the firearm...the mere act of him trying to pull said illegal firearm while being ordered not to raises the cops use of force...legal shoot carry on nothing to see here

Just hope hardworking LA taxpayers don't get burdened with some needless investigation.

Amazing how some can be SO clueless about justified police use of force. And be SO offended when a useless piece of shit is taken out of the populace.
Cuck, weak, ignorant wimps.

I don't believe in God "The Ugly"
-
Well the shooting of this stupid child molester will get Hillary and Lynch off the front pages of the newspaper for a few days.....so the liberal-biased media will love it
-
I don't believe in God "The Ugly"
Probably a wasted prayer then, boo.
-
If the cops did not shoot him they most likely would have been shot and the headlines would be different. We have all seen videos where the cop gave the criminal the benefit of the doubt and got burned big time.
He had a gun in his pocket, they knew he had a gun, and he started struggling with them and got his arm free. This is a legit shoot and rioting and looting is not going to change that.
Not a single fucking tear shed by me. An amoeba has more value than this dindu had.
I seriously don't get all the sympathy these thug dindus are receiving. Did they improve your quality of life? No, white men did. The fancy car you drive, the nice computer you use, the AC you're blasting when it is warm out. All brought to you by white males. You gotta love moronic progressive white people that invest emotion into organisms that will not be of any benefit to them and more than likely worsen their quality of life. If this dindu helped me build my house or did a great job washing my car then I would maybe care. But it appears he was a deadbeat pedophile who was dumb enough to get into an armed wrestling match with cops. Darwin award winner.

True that. I'll obey a wrong command, then sue the fck out of them.
-
even if the shoot was clean - they need to bounce the cops whose body cameras "malfunctioned".
I bet the worked fine for the last 2 years, never messing up. The minute someone gets killed, it's "wow, weird, didn't tape it, sorry..."

This guy was struggling / wrestling with them. It could have been ripped off. You don't know all the details and jumping to conclusions as usual. Ever seen how easy an ipod shuffle can fall off your clothing? I could easily see this happening in a scuffle.
Do you think these cops are driving around trying to shoot dindus? Fuck the easy thing for them to do is not respond and drive around collecting a paycheck in less violent neighborhoods. The dead negro only has himself to blame for putting himself in this situation.

Rest assured, friends.

Just happened to watch the second HD video of the #AltonSterling Murder. I cannot begin to start on this topic, but I am simply going to say this. This man never pulled out a gun and was murdered in cold blood. We have literally all witnessed a true crime and these police officers need to be held accountable. I have tons of family in Baton Rouge and I cannot help but to be worried about their well being. This man simply asked the officers a question and was tackled and later killed and I couldn't help but to be emotional after watching both videos.
I also watched the video of his son breaking down, crying uncontrollably made me so angry and frustrated that this young 15 year old has lost his father due to a real act of violence.
When will this stop!!!! Its an issue of HUMAN RIGHTS and it is time that we all see this as this was a human being minding his own damn business, selling CDs at a grocery store who's owner allowed these sales to persist, only for him to be harassed and quickly killed by police officers.
Just for the record, I have met many police officers throughout my life and will not target those whom are not breaking the law, but these two guys are straight up criminals. I appreciate the real police officers do to help PROTECT AND SERVE OUR COMMUNITIES!
The list of these acts of violence are mindblowing from Sean Bell to Eric Garner to Trayvon Martin to Sandra Bland to Mike Brown and the list goes on for their being ANY CONVICTIONS for these deaths. I pray that Justice is served and that the Sterling Family can stay strong during the horrible time, draw closer to God and pray for strength and peace.
I refused to post up these videos as they were simply too graphic and honestly, made me too upset and even sick!
I am not going to go back and forth with anyone who is disrespectful about this subject matter so just save it for another person.

He had a gun....he tried to use it....he was shot. Case closed.
Heath is a moron. Should go back to watching the books on Gifted Nutrition with as much awareness as he views videos.
-
Phil is wrong. The dindu had a gun in his pocket and the officers apparently had advanced knowledge of this after the 911 call if I recall. He was wrestling with them. He would have shot them if they did not act. This has happened before and resulted in a dead cop.
Shame on Phil for his mindless rant.
-
I don't understand the thought process where one comes to the conclusion that resisting arrest would be a better decision than not doing so.

Emotions.
Someone was going to die, in this case it was the criminal.
I seriosuly don't understand why people would resist arrest.

Phil is quite the activist.
What other causes has he championed?

I would like to see Phil Heath punch George Zimmeran in his gullet
-
How much child support did the crying 15 year old get. Oh that's right the dindu was 25,000 behind in child support. I guess that's why he took up the stellar career of selling pirated CDs/DVDs. Living in a homeless shelter so why was Bertha saying he was the provider. Rap sheet including previous gun possesion. Bottom line, carry an illegal firearm, resist arrest'disobey police orders bad things are going to happen.

The disgusting thing is all these social justice warriors are focusing on this filt, while 4 completely innocent black children were murdered with a knife and no one seems to care.

Mike Brown.....Bwahahahahaha
Mr. Heath should stick to being a professional drug addict, and leave it to The Revs Jesse and Al to be spokesmen for "da camoonity"

2nd Video is out and much clearer to see what happenned. Officer pulled the gun out of his pocket after he was dying meaning that they had no reason to discharge their weapons. Bad shoot as there was no just cause to discharge weapons

Cool then, case closed.
When will you be sentencing the yet-to-be-accused, your honor?

What sentencing....no prosecutor would file charges as he still had a firearm and it could be argued that he was reaching for it. In any event, he's a fucking pedo....I don't feel sorry for him

I don't understand the thought process where one comes to the conclusion that resisting arrest would be a better decision than not doing so.

It does appear this way.

yeah they should have fought the three hundred pound man
in fair hand to hand combat
::)
-
I believe he removed this from his FB.
Not smart for Phil to chime in....
-
We were not there.. Bottom line is we do not know what the officers felt. The suspects right arm was not controlled from what I observed. As it was stated here before, this is not the movies, the weapon does not have to be in the suspects hand and pointed at the officers before it is declared a "clean shoot."
Trust me, officers don't come to work and think..."boy I wanna kill someone today" in fact quite the opposite is the truth.
Split second reaction times come to play here. If I was that officer and I felt that suspect was going for his gun, and i feared for my life, I would of shot him before he got to it. Rather be tried by 12 then be buried by 6.

police do not have the authority to be the judge and executioner.

lots of 300 pound white guys out there. police are able to arrest them without killing them.
Anyway, this is yesterday's news. Now we have another one in Minnesota. Live streamed on Facebook!
https://www.buzzfeed.com/mbvd/facebook-video-appears-to-show-aftermath-of-mans-shooting-by
by the way, there aren't really any more police shootings than in years past. Just now with cell phones, we get to see them live. There have always been bad cops, incompetent cops, and racist cops. And good cops have always protected them.
-
He is lucky that the father of the under-aged child didn't murder him years ago.
I say that for any sex offender: white, black, yellow, brown, red
100% this.
Deserved to die, race has nothing to do with it in my eyes. paedophiles are the scum of the earth regardless of their colour.
and since he was a repeat offender the cop who killed him might just have saved another child from that scumbag.
Cop's reaction was severe but it might be completely unrelated to his race, could be that he did a quick check on him and saw his history and reacted severely because of that.
Or another crazy idea...cop might have feared for his safety when Sterling's right arm apparently got free and reached for his gun in his right pocket.
But it's hard to say, can only speculate.

His mixtape was too lit fam!

Good shoot.
-
Dude, did you watch the video? That was straight up murder. Regardless of how many kids he has, or his criminal record, he didn't deserve to be shot like that. He was under control. It was unnecessary and causes an escalation of an already sensitive issue. Plus the added negative attention by the media that profits off of this.
Don't waste the effort, Parker.
No one will care until this routinely happens to white people.

Bearing in mind cops are so bad remember not to call them when you need them.

Bearing in mind cops are so bad remember not to call them when you need them.
I've already had a bad enough experience that I have concerns for my safety when I have to interact with them. I know not all cops are bad. But I also know any one that I meet could be.
-
Well the video already shows that he was slammed on the car and down on the ground in a prone position with the officer's knee on his back. At that point and time, he was of no threat and even with a weapon, he was definitely not in a position to shoot it. It looks bad.
Officers won't be charged most likely as I'm sure there will be a "self defense" argument but it will go down the line with other shootings
No, he his a threat until he is handcuffed and disarmed.
-
All of the liberals are correct in this thread. The cops should have to wait for the guy to pull out his weapon before shooting. To make things completely fair, they should allow him to stand up and both of them should stand back to back and take ten steps before turning around to shoot. But before that happens, the cops should make sure the other guy's gun is in working order so we all know that it's fair.
-
.
-
Why didn't the dindu bystander stop filming and help subdue the suspect?
The cop would have perceived his/her blackness as a threat, LOL!
-
If one really pays attention you can hear one of the cops yell "I've a gun!" proceeded by a few pops then as the first cop rolls off him the other one pulls the weapon outta the dudes right pocket. You'll also hear one of them yelling something like "fuck!"...any way they write their reports it's still on worldwide video that they shot him point blank in the chest.
You can see his life quickly draining away as his shirt soaks up his blood.
Now whatever the reason was for them to have stopped him sure better be a damn good one.

Bad for ratings. No outrage when a white fuckup eats it, because we don't care either. Plus, it screws with the juicy 'open season' narrative.

A serial killer who eats people is a serial killer who eats people, no matter his geographical location. Same for the serial rapist, drug dealer, gangbanger, and overly-imbibing tough with impulse control issues.
I am up close and personal with these individuals every working day.
I've seen in real life what can be inflicted upon another with only hands and feet. Never mind a firearm.
Grotesque death is what.

I don't see any muzzle flash here. Post the frame where the gun discharges, let's see if the right hand is still under the cop's control.

If Phil were to organize an anti-police movement, as it appears to be the case here, I bet he'd get a lot of supporters.

yeah, i saw a video comparing the 2.... white dude carrying an AR15, begging for police to mess with him while he video'd it. They were polite and let him go. This dude moves too fast after telling cop he was legally carrying in an open carry state, and he gets 4 rounds from a shrieking cop at close range.
Not saying skin color is a factor, but does that cop unload on a white bald 50 year old dude, wearing a pro-police T-shirt, who does the exact same action? We all know he does not.

Better angle. Cop clearly can't control the right hand, which is reaching for the front pocket. Where the cop removes a gun shortly after.

That's a lot of states it's called Illegal Carry of a Firearm. When someone has a dangerous weapon and it's concealed. In this case he was a felon with a dangerous weapon.
You really see in cases like these who the morons are in the world - people thinking the cops should not have pulled their weapons and fired really must have mental issues or lack decent common sense.

You, Sir clearly do not understand the concept of "Moral Relativism."
As the "Oppressor" group, white males are to be held to impossible standards and their accomplishments dismissed; whereas, the oppressed groups: blacks, Hispanics, women, Moslems, etc. are to be held to no standards, and all anti-social behavior is to be rationalized and excused.

Get to stroke your own ego by driving out to the hood and pretending to be "down for the cause". Get to be on tv. Get to pretend to be a tough guy by yelling at police officers who have been ordered to stand down.
And after everything has settled down you get to drive back to your secure, safe, majority white neighborhood while the community being burned down deals with the consequences for the next several years.

To make things completely fair, they should allow him to stand up and both of them should stand back to back and take ten steps before turning around to shoot. But before that happens, the cops should make sure the other guy's gun is in working order so we all know that it's fair.
;D

It is easy for you to say "well he deserved it." But cops don't get to make that call. And lots of innocent people get killed by cops too. The vast majority of them are minorities.
Would you tolerate being treated by cops the way not whites are?
Would you whine if you needed a cop and they didn't show up? Yeah... You'd squeal like a pig for help. When I've been pulled over here is how it goes:
Cabin lights on (if it is dark out). Both windows down. Wallet, license and registration are out and on the dash. Both hands on the wheel where they can be seen. Radio is off. Respect is given to the officer(s) and as such it is returned. Questions by officer(s) answered, not mocked.
Easy. It's not because I am "white" but because I am not an asshole. Outside of where you get fucked you do know what an "asshole" is don't you? Did I just use an analogy or an ANALogy?
Liberals...

Are you familiar with the phrase "Due Process"
Do you know what "Escalation of force means?"
How are his previous convictions relevant in this instance.
Seems as every black man shot by cops is killed rightfully in your eyes. Have you ever once said "hey that's expressive force bro" when pertaining to a black man being shot. Or, are black men and women genetically predisposed to being shot by LEO.

Due process, in this case, starts with arrest. He resisted. Can't say anything yet about "escalation" because we don't know what occurred before the cop tackles a potentially ARMED SUSPECT. We do know this:
Cops respond to 911 call about a man threatening someone with a gun. Cops confront him, struggle ensues, he goes for his pocket. Voila, gun in dead man's pocket.
That you won't even consider these FACTS is why we'll never understand one another.

having a gun in your pocket is not an automatic death sentence. It just isnt. We dont know he resisted as it started with a tackle... as you stated above. How do we know it didnt start with a tackle? So, i will always default to facts. Where in my entire compilation of posts on this matter did i deviate from fact?

While I still wonder why that cop speared him like a linebacker, it didn't start with this. The store owner, who was the victim's friend, said they tazed him a few times to no effect

Surprising New Evidence Shows Bias in Police Use of Force but Not in Shootings
By QUOCTRUNG BUI and AMANDA COX JULY 11, 2016
A new study confirms that black men and women are treated differently in the hands of law enforcement. They are more likely to be touched, handcuffed, pushed to the ground or pepper-sprayed by a police officer, even after accounting for how, where and when they encounter the police.
But when it comes to the most lethal form of force — police shootings — the study finds no racial bias.
“It is the most surprising result of my career,” said Roland G. Fryer Jr., the author of the study and a professor of economics at Harvard. The study examined more than 1,000 shootings in 10 major police departments, in Texas, Florida and California.
The result contradicts the mental image of police shootings that many Americans hold in the wake of the killings (some captured on video) of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.; Laquan McDonald in Chicago; Tamir Rice in Cleveland; Walter Scott in South Carolina; Samuel DuBose in Cincinnati; Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, La.; and Philando Castile in Minnesota.
The study did not say whether the most egregious examples — the kind of killings at the heart of the nation’s debate on police shootings — are free of racial bias. Instead, it examined a much larger pool of shootings, including nonfatal ones.
The counterintuitive results provoked debate after the study was posted on Monday, mostly about the volume of police encounters and the scope of the data. Mr. Fryer emphasizes that the work is not the definitive analysis of police shootings, and that more data would be needed to understand the country as a whole. This work focused only on what happens once the police have stopped civilians, not on the risk of being stopped at all. Other research has shown that blacks are more likely to be stopped by the police.
Mr. Fryer, the youngest African-American to receive tenure at Harvard and the first one to receive a John Bates Clark medal, a prize given to the most promising American economist under 40, said his anger after the deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray and others drove him to study the issue. “You know, protesting is not my thing,” he said. “But data is my thing. So I decided that I was going to collect a bunch of data and try to understand what really is going on when it comes to racial differences in police use of force.”

He and student researchers spent about 3,000 hours assembling detailed data from police reports in Houston; Austin, Tex.; Dallas; Los Angeles; Orlando, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and four other counties in Florida.
They examined 1,332 shootings between 2000 and 2015, coding police narratives to answer questions such as: How old was the suspect? How many police officers were at the scene? Were they mostly white? Was the officer at the scene for a robbery, violent activity, a traffic stop or something else? Was it nighttime? Did the officer shoot after being attacked or before a possible attack? One goal was to figure out whether police officers were quicker to fire at black suspects.
In shootings in these 10 cities involving officers, officers were more likely to fire their weapons without having first been attacked when the suspects were white. Black and white civilians involved in police shootings were equally likely to have been carrying a weapon. Both of these results undercut the idea that the police wield lethal force with racial bias.
But to look at cases where police shootings took place is to see only part of the picture. What about situations in which an officer might be expected to fire, but doesn’t?
To answer this question, Mr. Fryer focused on one city, Houston. The Police Department there allowed the researchers to look at reports not only for shootings but also for arrests when lethal force might have been justified. Mr. Fryer defined this group to include encounters with suspects the police subsequently charged with serious offenses like attempting to murder an officer, or evading or resisting arrest. He also considered suspects shocked with Tasers.
Mr. Fryer found that in such situations, officers in Houston were about 20 percent less likely to shoot suspects if the suspects were black. This estimate was not very precise, and firmer conclusions would require more data. But in a variety of models that controlled for different factors and used different definitions of tense situations, Mr. Fryer found that blacks were either less likely to be shot or there was no difference between blacks and whites.

The facts are they were responding to a call about a man with a gun threatening someone. That person matched the description of the person in the video, the requested he comply, when he didn't they tried to tase him twice and he still resisted, when that failed they tried to take him down physically in doing so they saw the gun in his pocket and with the mans hands down by his side.
Who knows if he was going for it or not, I'm guessing we will never really know. As someone who grappled for years I can tell you most people's natural reaction to someone putting a knee in their chest is to try and get it off not put their hands down by their side but that my opinion.
The fact is this is another incident that would have been avoided had the person complied with police.
The cops showed up for call about a man threatening someone with a gun...I think they showed a lot of restraint up until the point they shot.

That is all fine and dandy, and it certainly looks as if the store owner may have a civil case if all this is true. However, it has nothing to do with him claiming his friend was tazed multiple times after the cops were called because he threatened to shoot someone

Odd, you saw it on your frame earlier, from where some honest fact-seeker chose to freeze the footage. It had a line pointing to it, remember? How it was under the officer's control and all.
Yet in the video, the hand moves seconds after that frame. BEFORE shots were fired.
Of course the gun in that right pocket is merely an unfortunate coincidence, but any idea why his hand moved down and where it might've been headed?
