What do most getbiggers eat for breakfast? If you do not eat breakfast, why not?
I know someone who has a hearty breakfast in the morning (e.g., eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes). It just seems too much.
But, I am never hungry in the morning. Right now, I just ate some fruit (mango, papaya and kiwi). But, that is all I could really stomach in the morning.
What you, getbig??!?!

For the last month I have had black coffee for breakfast, eating first meal at 11:00 am.
I experienced no change in strength or anything.
There are those out there who claim the "most important meal of the day" stuff was concocted by the food industry to sell shitty cereals.
-
I switched to intermittent fasting a week ago out of curiosity. Will try it for a couple of months to see if there are some benefits to it. I feel just fine without food in the morning. Takes one thing off of your chest, well, unless you’re dealing with Lee Priest. Then it might take 2.

whey isolated shake
woshhhhhhh

It varies.
Usually it's oatmeal or some cereal with milk, a banana, coffee.
Today, however, I had two leftover pork ribs and 5 eggs fried in olive oil, coffee. I'll have a bowl of oatmeal later in the day for fiber.
I sometimes won't eat breakfast right away but a few hours later.
I usually train in the a.m. so would have the oatmeal an hour before. I get up at 5:30 a.m.
-
Half a pot of coffee, with a splash of whole milk
2 whole eggs, over easy
2 slices of whole wheat toast
-
I am allergic to eggs so I don't eat breakfast foods typically..eggs used to cause me sweeling and such..now it just triggers my autoimmune disease. I absolutely love coffee and used to drink 2 full pots a day but discovered I was having a negative autoimmune response from the oils in coffee so I had to stop drinking it too!
I usually have a red meat, Jasmine rice, chicken stock (vertical diet)
Today it's an 7oz by strip, 1/4 cup of rice, cup of chicken stock, an apple the I split with my daughter, and Endo rush powder that has pure cranberry mixed with water.

-
Had 3 eggs with grilled chicken and taco seasoning, some cilantro lime crema on top. (basically Costco-street taco leftover scrambled with eggs)
1/2 an avocado
Almond milk / spinach / blueberries / almond butter / whey
That's it.
I generally just eat when I'm hungry - no set plan. Sometimes it's only 2x a day, sometimes more.

No breakfast on work days just a cup of tea with no sugar and tiny little bit milk. Bacon, toast crisps and milk on weekends

My breakfast is usually around 8:00 pm, I work the midnight shift.
Old fashioned oatmeal mixed with walnuts and banana, with a frosty mug of milk.

Worked many years of midnight and revolving shifts.
I alternate three breakfasts.
1. two eggs, bacon and muffins with OJ.
2. bowl of cheerios and skim lactose free milk.
3. Oatmeal made with water with a glass of skim lactose free milk.

Worked many years of midnight and revolving shifts.
I've worked evenings or midnight for 30 out of the last 35 years. I'll be retiring soon, will be interesting if I ever adapt to a "normal" sleep schedule.

Trying to slim down?
Yeah down to 226 from mid 250s about 6-8 weeks ago.its about as low as I want to go though.225-30 is good.I actually enjoy eating light.I always ate so heavy and now my digestive track is getting a nice break.

I take a SAMe tablet with water right after getting out of bed. Then I answer emails, check a few forums like getbig for about 30-45 minutes before eating breakfast. Usually some oatmeal, granola, a bit of cereal mixed in and blended with a protein shake. I'll also have a banana if I remember for the potassium along with flavored water (I try to drink 1 gallon per day). After breakfast is done I take all my vitamins just like Lou in Pumping Iron. I might have an omelette breakfast later in the day also. I eat omelettes or eggs any time of the day, noon, 2 am whatever I feel like. I love eggs.
Breakfast is important to give you a jump start for the day.
-
^^^ I might repeat this "breakfast" later in the day also if I am lazy and looking for some food. Nothing wrong with eating oatmeal / cereal with a protein shake more than once a day.
I mix protein shakes with coffee, tea etc.
I do like a steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli also. Sometimes I'll have a vertical diet meal - beef with white rice. Also like a spinach / orange juice shake the way Brian Shaw makes it.
-
I don't eat breakfast.
I've now taken to only eating one meal during the day (dinner). So, technically, I fast for about 20hrs of the day with the exemption of ample amounts of water (2-3 liters) and only eat during the last 3 hrs of my day (8pm-11pm). I eat whatever I want during those hours, doesn't matter if it's heavy in carbs or empty calories. I eat until I am full/satisfied and then call it a night. Next day, repeat the same process over again.
This diet has worked very well for me. Has allowed me to lose over 25lbs over the last 3-4 months. I workout 4-5days/week (rotate body parts and typically do 2 body parts per workout) and even then, I don't go too heavy (high reps + moderate weights).
One thing I have really found incredibly beneficial towards weight loss is water consumption. The more water you drink, the less your body needs to retain.

More days than not, my mainstay morning meal is Athena Greek Honey Vanilla yogurt. Sometimes I have a piece of toast and other times I sprinkle some Kashi Honey Almond Crunch on the yogurt. Sometimes, I add blue berries or raspberries. Almost every morning I drink about 6 oz of either orange juice or pink grapefruit juice and a cup or two of coffee with a tbl of half and half. Maybe once or twice a week, I'll cook up 2 or 3 whole eggs and have those instead of the yogurt. If I'm in the mood I fix a couple of strips of bacon.
My variety increases when I go out to breakfast. Florentine eggs Benedict or avocado toast with basted eggs are 2 two of my favorites. I also like German pancakes, French toast and chicken fried steak for breakfast. My preference is bacon over sausage.

I've come to the conclusion it's very unhealthy both physically and mentally. Evenings are okay and actually a great schedule for lifting. Staying awake all night and sleeping in the day time is just unhealthy. I found I was sleeping 5 hours a day then on days off I would revert back to sleeping at night. Bet you took years off of your life.

Except for the last five years I worked 3:30 pm - midnight, worked really well for sleep and workouts. The last five years I have worked 10:30 pm until 10:00 am up to 120 days without a day off which really isn't healthy. Currently 10:30 -6:30, still isn't too healthy. Plan to retire next Spring.

But why? Intermittent fasting has been shown to have possible benefits with no significant negatives. Why shouldn’t I do something that makes me feel better?

If they ate oatmeal they wouldn't be so prone to heart attacks.
Most of this "heart healty" food stuff is nonsense. The premise is that if you eat oatmeal instead of bacon that it's healthy. By that measure no breakfast at all is most likely 100% heart healthy.
-
Protien shake and fruit
Bread oatmeal pancakes all that nonsense will slow down your morning
Every night before bed u should take alot of protein fat and carbs

That's a lot of hours spent earning a living. Hope it has paid off for you because you have sacrificed a lot of your life.

I always have breakfast, I can’t leave the house without food. Usually, I eat two soft-boiled eggs and a cheese sandwich. By the way, you can read an interesting article about what is more useful than protein or yolk https://www.laderamassage.org/food/164/ (https://www.laderamassage.org/food/164/) . Also, I drink a cup of coffee with milk.

I just finished my first cup of coffee. I'm going to fix breakfast now and have a second cup of coffee. -Think I'll have cottage cheese and OJ. There's no bread in the house or I'd have toast with this.
Update: I toasted 2 Eggo's, buttered them and doused them in maple syrup to go with the rest of my breakfast.
