Girls and sons who have not been loved by their fathers seek attention once teens and adults to compensate for what they didn't have originally. They're insecure because they're girly, childish, feminine having been raised by a single mom. They lift obsessively hoping it will transform them into men, to compensate for their lack of influence from a father figure that was not there. Unfortunately they can get as big as they can but it doesn't cure their insecurity and who they truly are, how they grew up being raised by a single mom. They're not as manly as other men whatever they do, and they often have a big lack of masculine presence they don't know how to balance, hence often being borderline homosexuals while trying to get their manhood back through various manly activities (MMA, cars, weight lifting etc.).
They are often the ones that, in order to get respect from other males, will go the steroids route to get even "bigger", attempting to cure their insecurity, but being natural not being "enough", they still feel "too small", insecure, amongst other males. The lack of a father figure also often means they didn't have guidance to continue studies and are often working shitty manual jobs.

He said he trained in the same gym as Casey Viator was training for the 1982 Olympia. I think arguably his best ever condition. He said he used a ton of volume. One body part he counted 16 sets.

And if we were talking to your average fat fuck that doesn't know anything about exercise, nutrition or calories, I would agree with you;: the focus needs to be on either calories in vs calories out or maintaiing ketosis... but not in pro bodybuilding. In addition to working out and diet there's also the matter of drugs. And the workouts play a part of conditioning all the way up to the last week or so before the show.

Lots of people argue, both here and elsewhere, that for example Yates and Mentzer trained with the same volume as everyone else. That Yates didn't train particularly hard, in fact kind of soft workouts as evidenced by his video (I don't think he went to failure on even such a sissy movement as incline bb presses). One guru dissected and compared Yates' and Cutler's workouts and claimed they were damn near identical as far as volume and intensity. So on one hand you guys argue whether HIT is "good" but then say they all trained the same anyway. Which is it?
Can higher volume help cuts? Plausibly, but first make sure what that high volume is supposed to be like and what true HIT is and whether there is actually a meaningful difference.

It was all marketing because Yates found a niche and made out he was doing heavy and hard training while every other bodybuilding pro were doing light weights and super high volume. Not true at all. Back in the days before the blood and guts (lol) vid came out the muscle mags claimed that Yates was doing methzer's heavy duty one set to failure hit bs. Bear in mind that none of the mags had seen Yates trained yet so all this hype was just pure speculation. The mags claimed that Yates was doing one set to failure along with forced reps, negatives then drop sets all in that one set. Sounds brutal, right?
Course the mags just love to hype up how a top bodybuilder actually trains just for entertainment purposes when in reality the bodybuilder trains nothing like how they say in the mags. They all pretty much train the same. So the mags have to make a top pro workout sound much more brutal than it actually is, just to keep young readers hooked.
Anyhow, blood and guts (double lol) was released and now we get the chance to see Yates's brutal style of training. Imagine the anticipation of seeing a Mr Olympia go all out in his workouts and supposedly train harder than anyone else! Awesome you might think. Well...in reality his training was nothing short of radical. All you see is a bodybuilder pyramiding/ramping up the weight to a top set. Nothing more. No endless drop sets. No real forced reps. No long drawn out negatives, etc. Just standard training. Nothing more.
The hype that Yates received was a lot to do with Peter McGough who was a real Yates dick licker. He wrote many articles about Yates and even did his Ask Dorian Yates (triple lol) column in Flex magazine pretending to be Yates. 🤣 It was thanks to him that Yates got so much exposure which probably helped in Yates securing 6 olympia wins. Peter knew people in high places.

So according to Methead you have to get stronger to get bigger ( he's wrong) He says a "strong muscle is a big muscle ( he's wrong) He would gauge his clients "progress" by if they added weight or reps to a exercise ( still wrong).One of His real reasoning for the long time in between workouts was because he said " ever notice that after a 2 week layoff you are always stronger in the gym then when you stopped". So he said people had to be over training and after a few weeks off they finally recuperated and "grew". smh In reality what happens is you are just burned out. Your mind is tired your nerves are tired you are just burned out. So after a while of not working out your refreshed and ready to go again MENTALLY ( mostly) So using his logic of getting stronger after a layoff then explain this. Even when your tired if you get pissed you lift more or add reps. Or a hot slut walks by you suddenly lift more do more reps etc. So did you "suddenly" recuperate? lmao. Methead was wrong about EVERYTHING. And his diet advice was almost as bad as his workout advice.
