751 lbs for 8 reps in 2010:

What was the point of doing this.  Wraps on knees with a team of people lifting the weight thats on the one guys back while he does some nice 1/3 reps of squats?

Just put 3-5 plates on each side of the bar and get some good reps in with quality form.

I recall Sibil saying that Roelly's legs don't respond well to high reps. At least not when it comes to adding size. There's also footage of Roelly doing high reps and full squats with heavy weight.

It's funny some people bitch about him doing high reps, then when they see vids of him going heavy, they bitch about that too. Without knowing why someone's doing what they're doing, it's really hard to criticize them unless they're doing something really dangerous.

I think that's the first four-man squat I've ever seen.

Or maybe it's a new Olympic event, Synchronized Squatting.

and I quote:

"my arms are stuck at 20 inches natural with 7% bodyfat... I will superset extensions with arnold curls to break this plateau... do you guys know any exercises that would help?"

I think that's the first four-man squat I've ever seen.

Ronnie was an excellent deadlifter. That's it. His bench or squat weren't mind blowing.

impressive but not....in the squat buddies arms are wrapped around roly torso..not by himself-so dont count as a real solo squat(much much harder)and the bench is assisted on every rep so(dont count as solos which  is also much much harder)so impressive but not......

Never understood why anyone with train like that...
If you have help from rep one then you didn't do the rep by yourself
Ego training
choice is an illusion

I have no doubt the guys very strong but there is so much going on in the video. Why do all these so strong people avoid doing clean videos with out spotter weird plates bad angles. They never make them like colman or stan efferding just them and the wieghts I owuld guess because they cant. If that guy is squating 750 for reps he raw he would be the best squatter in the world.  If hes so strong why dont he challenge rhino for the strongest bodybuilder title at the olympia if I wasa bodybuilder that about one of the best titles you could have imo sure as hell beats winning so sucky ass show?

Why would he challenge anyone? Roelly is a very humble and down to earth guy. He's not bragging about his stats saying he's the worlds strongest bodybuilder or whatever. And since when is the NY Pro a suck ass show? Some of you guys on here have lost perspective, calling Toney Freeman average and saying the NY Pro is a suck ass show.

The reason why some guys have so many spotters when going this heavy is very simple. If something goes wrong, one spotter is not going to be able to do shit. Safety first.

And as I stated before the only reason Roelly is going this heavy is because that's the only way he's been able to put size on his legs according to his coach.

I know you're a moron, but as I said twice before, this is what works better than high reps for him. Dude has no problem doing high reps as I've seen him do legs and other body parts like that.

As such a knowledgable person you pretend to be you should know that if a guy is doing lots of shows and keeps getting worse that the problem probably isn't the way he's training.
