Thanks, I misremembered. I do think, know, that there are cardiologists who are not familiar with hormones much who would advice not touching hormones at all in that situation. I'm not saying John is going about it the wrong way.
Did I understand it correctly, the LVH developed after his heart attack? Initially I think he said his heart was normal sized. The dead portion came after as well.
BTW, what do you think killed off Matt Porter? One fella seemed to imply that it might have been a site injection related incident, though I may have misunderstood what he was implying. There was something showing in his lung xray IIRC, possibly an embolism of some sort.
John had his echocardiogram after his heart attack. That revealed his lower than optimal EF, mild LVH and "dead" apex. Left ventricular hypertrophic regression can concur especially with weight loss and normalizing hypertensive patients.
Matt died of congestive heart failure according to his wife. A MA General study showed "Using two-dimensional ultrasound imaging, researchers found that
the left ventricle, the heart's main pumping chamber, was "significantly weaker" during contraction in those taking anabolic steroids compared to the non-steroid users."
I bring up LVH because it increases the risk for atrial fibrillation, diastolic heart failure, systolic heart failure, and sudden death in patients with hypertension.
Don’t know what killed Porter, but didn’t his dad die of a heart attack at an early age? I believe that’s what made Porter quit cold turkey and he lost all that weight.
I used to see him weekly at a the gym, and the last year or so he was alive he looked so unhealthy. Constantly sweating and skin was purple. He was super big, and he wasn’t a tall guy. He had lost all his hair too. I only knew him a little, just made small talk in the gym. Didn’t know him well enough to say anything. But any of us had a good friend who looked like he did, we would be alarmed.....
His dad died of prostate cancer and shortly after that Matt then found out his BP had been too high for too long and he was in heart failure. This is all according to his wife. So going back to bb was certainly not the best idea.
