Lee Haney was a great bodybuilder and champion. His physique was very complete, and he had incredible muscularity with a fantastic taper. His pectoralis were some of the thickest ever, he had a wasp waist. His arms were not huge, but his biceps were incredible. At 250 lbs, he showed crisp separations on his back. Awesome bodybuilder. Not the most genetically gifted ever, but he combined size with proportions and a classicaly tapered waist that you've just got to love. Haney: the clear dominant force of the 1980s. Labrada was more proportional, but Lee had the perfect blend of mass, proportions and completeness.

Ok, how exactly is this one dimensional? Haney was 250 lbs in an era when his competitors compteted around 210-230 lbs. Not only that, but he could do a vacuum pose at that waist; his taper was phenomenal! He had the best back in terms of width, thickness and separations. His pectoralis were the best by far of his time. You said his arms were bad, but his delts were the widest and thickes ever. His biceps and triceps might not have been spectacular, but they were far from being weak.

Haney deserved most of his Sandows because he was the most muscular, had the best midsection in terms of taper and separations, and, although he was not flawless, he had the least weaknesses in the sense that most of his bodyparts were developed, even if not huge. From top to bottom, he simply had the best overrall package. None of his competitors from his era could touch him.

a pose or two does not make you a mr olympia..haney was all bullshit and nothing esle.i had guys like rich,christain,labrada,fox and a bunch of other guys made haney look like haney who???.he was juat a pile of poop and nothing else.he did deserve a 3 or 4 olympias and not more than that.

Why do you keep posting that pic of little Haney? You should post one from when he won his Olympias title. Haney was one of the all time best bodybuilders ever and could still be reigning today if he chose to.

I would say they are. Haney was great. I don't think he was given gifts.

You've been reading too many Flex mags. Apparently you're fascinated by smallish arms & legs out of balance with the torso. 21" arms would mean that they were very close in size to Schwarzenegger's.

God, I'm still trying to decide whether you're more annoying or stupid.

First of all, it was only his triceps which were underdevelped for his size; his biceps, delts and forearms were very good. Even if his arms were the worst in the circuit - obviously not the case -, he'd still be Mr.Olympia, because he carried 250 lbs with a wasp waist, had the thickest pecs, the widest, thickest and most separated back muscles and his few weaknesses were not overwhelming. Get over it!

No, I said Dillet's delts were overrated, especially when compared to his great biceps&triceps. His front delts were incredibly dominant, but his medial and anterior delt heads were weak. The evidence? Dillet got destroyed by Dorian in the side triceps shot, despite having the bigger triceps and serratus at least as good. Paul's medial and anterior delt heads were underdeveloped when compared to his monstrous frontal heads. In fact, in the side chest shot, I think Dillet's defective medial and anterior deltoid heads compromised the pose more than his incredibly flat pectoralis - which goes to show how pathetic your assertion that he wins from the sides is. Pumpster, I own you!

Ok. Supply evidence that Haney did not have 21" arms and we''ll talk. Arnold had 22" arms at 237 lbs, so there's no reason to assume Haney didn't have 21" since he came in at 250 lbs. Look aty the shots of them doing the front double biceps, and you'll see that Haney's arms do not appear any smaller than Arnold's, despite the fact that Haney's torso is larger.

To me Haney was deserving but obviously didn’t face the competition dorian or Ronnie did, 21inch arms…. Not…. But incredible yes….
