112 reps with 225 pounds thats great no doubt. I have trained with a guy who deadlifted in the 300-340 kilo (in competition) range, and in no way could he ever do what TA says he can do, can you guys understand the BRUTAL PUMP he must have in his loverback after he is done.

p.s. I would like to see the deadlift video to, actually I would like to see the end of the video when TA pass out ;D

Matt C, didnīt you say that you was tired of your chest lagging ? In the two clips i have seen of you benching there is almost zero work on your pecs! I think you have to start from scratch and work on your form.

I completely agree with this. On that 315 bench you bring your elbows in and that puts a lot more stress on the tricpes. When you bench keep your elbows OUT.

bullshit, i don't care what kind of grip or form you use on the bench press your chest has no choice but to work to push up that bar.

Of course they are worked,just not very much this way! The pressure is put on his delts and elbow joints far more than on the pecs with that form. Wonder why he says his front delts overpower his pecs.hmm.?

you sound like one of these clowns who tries to "isolate the pecs" by using 115 and putting your feet in the air and doing 3 minute reps. ::)

Yes, it is correct that my chest is lagging and I won't rule out form being a contributor to that.  If anything, it makes me feel better because it makes me feel as if I'm in control to change things.  I'm in the process of changing things up.  Hopefully things work out.  Chances are though, if I do post another heavy bench clip, the form will be the same just to get the biggest lift possible.

By the way, I'm still waiting for Ron to verify that TA doesn't have any additional accounts.

DaddyWaddy. The bodybuilding/weightlifting gods blessed me yesterday and I did 112 reps total with 225 on the deadlift.  Breathing like a locomotive for sure.

Not to steer this thread totally off topic, but how did you possibly pull off doing 112 reps with 225 lbs in the deadlift?

Hard Work.  Deadlift has always come easily for me.

Next time I do it I will videotape it.  The trick is, NEVER put the bar down...If you have to stand there and catch your breath for a few seconds, do so with the bar in hand.

It's good to hear it isn't terribly bad or anything lol.  I'll see what I can do on the deadlift today but I'll be the first to admit if I can't get the lifts I attempt.

matt, you may have driven him away from this board, I notice a bunch of threads over on the MD board started by him and he's kinda disappeared from this board at least I haven't seen any posts from him lately.  He's pulling the old "I challenge you to a duel..." bullshit and the old "layne Norton is so gay...."

i agree...

i bench similar to that but with more arch and i don't bounce the weights but still impressive lift...my chest is thick and full, i also don't have any shoulder problems from flaring the elbows out.

I think your chest looks fine...the leaner you get the better it will look compared to your delts. just my opinion of course.

do you do alot of DB presses flat and incline?

I hope that changing my form will help my chest to grow.  The other thing I'm thinking is that if I get in better condition the separation will come out.  I went to Ron's house yesterday and we had tea and crumpets and he wrote up a chest workout for me which I plan to use starting next Monday.
If you are going to max out I suggest you continue with the same form. The way you are doing it now is pretty much how powerlifters do it, you're spreading the load to the triceps. Much safer on the pec tendon. Less chance of shoulder problems as well. Play with the elbows out form on other exercises.

I still don't know why you think the chest is lagging. Looks perfectly in proportion to me.
