How about that Marvin Harrison TD catch (the second one)?  One of the best I've ever seen.

That will help increase his rep as one of the top receivers. Superstars make that catch.

Also liked that Troy Brown reception right before the half, right in the balls. He was laughing after recovering and walking off the field.

i really hope Indy doesnt get to the Super Bowl, but i dont know if they can be stopped.  sorry Pump if you are an Indy fan you seem like you are, no offense. Manning and the offense are just too good. i dont see a defense in the AFC that is smart enough or physical enough to stop them. i thought NE had a chance but if they meet in the playoffs they will play in Indy and the Colts will again.

I am from Indy, and the Colts should have scored more than they did...the Pats were not in top form, but neither were the Colts(2 missed FG'S   >:(  ).However,O do not think we would have beaten the Patriots if they had played their best. I agree with Body88's assesment.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

Bottom line Indy's a better team this year than any time in the last 5 years.

Athiest, I am not trying to argue with you or make excuses. But how can you say NE does not have the defensive skills to stop the colts. They played without both there starting safetys and held the most high powered offense in the leauge to 27 points. Losing Rodney for the game is the equivilent to the colts losing wayne or harrison against the best defense in football while they  are playing well. Couple that with wilson out also and I find it impressive the Colts only won by a score. The defense was not playing to its capabilities and it still held them to within a touchdown. While the defense could have played alot better, the loss did not come from the defense it came from the offensive penalties and dropped passes / mistakes. The defense gave them mulitiple chances to score. I cannot believe how bad the offense played. But a w is a w. So the colts take this one. I can tell you one thing. NE is the last team the colts want to see in the playoffs. But congrats to the colts they deserved to win. I hope Bll has the offense on the practice field for the whole week working there balls off after that crap. I have never seen so many panalties at a NE game in my life.

NE played like shit and Indy made them pay. They where the better team and deserved to win.

We had a missed field goal also. About 500 penalties and stupid drops and mistakes. Should have had at least 2 more scores and a field goal. The tipped balls that lead to turnovers. it was just bad news last night on the offensive side. Just sloppy football. The colts just played better. They got the w and they should have.

Losing Rodney Harrison on defense is the equivilent top the colts offense losing wayne or harrison against a extremley high powered defense. I think the defense did a good job of holding Indy to within a score with both the starting safteys out. While they could have played better the penalties and offensive blunders killed us. The defense gave them plenty of chanced to score. Plenty. Figures the offesne has a night like that against Indy. Ah well what are you gonna do. I still have failth in them. 6 and 2 aint so bad. Would be weird to not be in the shadows.Hell if they can play  like that and lose by only 7 I have faith they can beat anyone when playing well.

nor am i trying to argue with you. however every team plays with injuries. maybe NE defense did not play up to its ability but you could easily say the Colts O didnt play up to their abilities also. also this is the second year in row that Indy has beaten NE at home. Manning through for 300+ yards and had two touchdowns i believe. so statistically speaking the loss did come from the defense by allowing Manning  to gain all those yards and throw for all those TD's. Indy accepted the fact that they could not really run the ball affectively and NE knew that also, therefore both teams knew the only way Indy could win was by throwing throwing the ball. and still NE could not stop Manning.
and the fact that the NE D held Indy to only 27 points is nothing to write home about really, many teams have played Indy tough but Indy always finds a way to win. Indy beats teams by an average of only 7.37 points. they have not necessarily been blowing teams out. and dont forget there is only one other winning team in their division.

Last year the entire Pats team was a mess of injuries. The colts trashed them fair and square last year. You make good points. but the pats offense did not play even close to what they are capable off. I am not taking anything away from Indy. They should have won that game. All I am saying is they only beat NE by a close 7 when NE  played that awful how will they fair when NE is playing well on both sides of the ball? Until that rematch it is a moot point.

You make a good point about teams playing with injuries. BUt Indy fans would be the first to bring this point up if the game had gone the other way and  Marvin harrison and Adi where out for the game.

I don't think you realize what a homer you are, with the lengthy list of excuses. They beat em again, that's it.

You've proven the point with defensiveness. What's that about? Do they have to be the best team every year?

No they do not. But you guys are talking like Indy is this vastly superior team. That  there was no factors to the pats losing. I am bringing them up not making excuses. Yes Indy beat the pats when we had 5 turnovers, a offense not playing well, both are starting safety's out and a host of horseshit calls and penalties. They won by the massive sum of seven points with all these factors.

If Indy was this superior team people talk them up to be the score would not have been 27 - 20 with all the shit they had handed to them. They barley won with all the help they had. Those are the facts. I gave indy there credit and i am breaking down the game. It is not just "thats it. There is still 8 games left and the playoffs.

It was a good game because they're evenly matched; i never said Indy was vastly better this is your NE bias. Could go the other way next time. Stop making excuses in the meantime. ;)

If I sound like I am making excuses I am not trying to. I gave Indy credit. They should have won that game. I was trying to debate the factors I think led Indy to win the game.

I hope to see a rematch where both teams are playing there best ball. The first quarter was what football is all about imo. I would like to make it clear I am not taking a thing away from Indy when I bring up these factors I felt led to the pats losing. Indy deserved to win. I am just stressing the pats should not be counted out because they lost a game they clearly handed away. Indy made them pay on every mistake like a great team should. But that is not NE ball that was played.

But you do have a point. No matter the factors they lost. They did not win. So even tho what I say is valid it just does not matter. They lost and thats it.

I dont understand how Brady could be so cool when two of his interceptions were from receivers not catching the ball, the last of which ended the possible game tying drive. i would be absolutely furious at Faulk.

and the chances are not likely at all that when or if Indy faces NE again in the playoffs that either team will be healthy, most times when teams meet in the playoffs both teams have many injuries. its up to the players and coaches for them to make the adjusments.

i think the losses of key players is the differense for NE. they cant continually let key players go. talent wise they were superior to Indy in the past however recently Indy has gained in talent and Indy has caught up with them. Tom agreed to take less money to support the team and sighn key players but they front office  decided differntly for whatever reason.
i really wish someone would hurt Peyton. the fact that he has such a great Oline and a great core of recievers had a great running back and plays half of his games in doors and the league changed the rules to allow receivers more freedom and pretty much no contact by the BD's is stupid.

Watching Manning lose his cool the last couple of years it's clear that a QB who maintains composure's generally a better leader. He can always lose it behind the scenes. Notice that Manning's a better QB now, both in running the offense and in maintaining a more level composure similar to Brady.

yeah i guess, and thats also one of the reasons they relate Brady to Montana. their abiltiy to keep their cool in heavy situations (and the fact that they have multiple rings.)

Body88 has been very nice and diplomatic over the loss to the Dolts. Some of u guys have kept pushing him but he's been very nice. I however am not going to be. Yes, we lost. We shot ourselves in the foot time and time again. That said...Manning is still a whiny little girl. Bill Polian has sought to change the rules and do whatever he can to insure that his primadonna QB will have an unfair advantage against the db's. The "chuck" rule etc. They are not built for the post season. They can't run and their rush defense is horrible. They gave up 148 yards against the Pats. I'm not sure what game Belicheck watched last week but he decided not to run in the second half. No idea why Faulk is still catching passes. We still had a chance to tie that game at the end and I guess the defense can be thanked for that. They did a much better job in the second half pressuring the Fraud. He was starting to get that look on his face. Make no mistake I hate the Dolts..but they won and Brady played like crap. The Pats will just have to bare down and get on a role offensively going into Jan. I guess Rodney Harrison has a torn rotator cuff or thats the rumor.

Anyone who uses the term "we" in discussing a pro sports team immediately has zero  objectivity.  ;)

As far as Manning, unless you can come up with a tangible example i'd say it's quite possible that he may not be as annoying as he was previously.

Actually he did make excuses, and said so-why do you feel the need to defend him? The Colts were in control much of the game-this idea that they were going to lose is your own paranoia.

Actually I thought they would lose simply because New England is a jinx for them,or so it seems.Especially at New England. I have complete faith in the offense, but defensively the Colts are horrible at stopping the run.Even though their record id the same as it was at this time last year, their wins have not been nearly as easy. There have been some close games.
