increasing metabolism?
« on: December 12, 2006, 07:55:28 PM »
is it possible, and if it is, what’s the best way to increase ones metabolism?

I seem to have a slower metabolism, so i find it difacult to get 100+ grams of protine a day, plus fruits and veggies, and not feel like a ate to much.

thanks for any help,
Joe

whats bad about fruit?

my diet looks somethign like this.
break fast is ususaly 2 or 3 eggs, 1 pice of home made toast, 1 glass of milk, and a banana and/or orange.
Lunch is ususaly a sadwich made with what ever meat is in the fridge.  usualy chicken, beef, or turky. and a glass of milk.
and for supper, usualy meat of some sort, meat loaf, chicken, turky, roast beef, etc.  some potatoes, ususaly fried or mashed.  vegetabls like corn, beans, peas etc.
these are all regular portions.  i havnt really mesured them.

so, i should bring some hard boiled eggs and a sadwich to work to eat through out the day and cut back what i eat for meals?

thanks,
Joe

Fructose - is the wrong type of carb (if you want to increase metabolism).

You should increase the frequency of your meals to atleast 6 per day.

Cut the bread, milk & potatoes..

Egg (whites) are good, look to eat approx 10 per day.

Increase green veggies

Count your calories please.

Why search for a solution that isn't there. Count and cut.
Judging at a glance,
to much carbohydrates.

I'd just eat a few medium sized meals and then in between your meals drink a protien shake.  This way your metabolism is always working but you wont get fat.  Preferably the protien shakes with under 150 calories a serving.  Its fairly easy and practical to get around 150 or more grams of protien this way.  If you have around 25 grams of protien for breakfast and then 25 in your protien drink then 25 at lunch then 25 in your next drink then 25 for dinner then 50 before you go to bed taking two servings.  Thats what ive been doing for at least a month and ive gained about 4lbs but my bodyfat has gone down 4 percent.
