Subconsciously, women want a man who is bad because they are natural nuturers so naturally they think they can change the bad boy into what they want.  They want a civilized bad boy but it never works.  It usually ends in divorce or spousal abuse...

Maybe at an older age, but younger women do chase men esp if you give them some attention and then take it away...i essentially liken it to giving them a taste of their own medicine.  ;D
