To many non smokers getting cancer after working in restraurants for years..But you are right how do you prove an illness that can be caused by many different things?...It will never be a 100% science but you have to use common sense...
Where are these people who have died directly from 2nd hand smoke? If a person dies of some kind of cancer and they happened to be a waitress, they would consider that a 2nd hand smoke death, which is speculative, but they use it as a "fact". That is the problem with the entire thing. It is like Lyle Alzado dying of brain cancer, they blamed it on steroids..haha Same type of thing. The government shouldn't have the power to pass law without true evidence that something is harmful to others. Plain and simple. In reality, they should ban alcohol and cigarettes. Alcohol causes more problems than smoking every will. Drunk driving, bar fights, sexual assault, etc. If the government really gave a shit, they'd ban these in a second. Instead, they banned ephedrine. Classic! But I believe that ban was overturned due to facts later found. When something is in the minority, it's easy for it to get banned. If smokers got smart, they would form an alliance and all vote democrat or republican. You'd see politicians all of a sudden in favor for smoking to be put back into restaurants.
