Like I said before, a little 'glitch' that was taken care of. End of story.

King is not broke - dont even bring it that up. He just renewed his Muscletech contract. Isaac has his points, many of them, it should of been taken care of earlier. But that is between King and Lift. All I wish is that it was resolved earlier, in the final days of December.

Am I being diplomatic? Yes - because I have known both for a while, and thus I am staying out of it. But in business, there are many who have done this, and sometimes are unethical. Should you expose them? Sometimes..

I'm def not commenting on this situation.

Personally, when money issues do come up, I try to find creative solutions.  For instance, if a client needs updates and is short on cash, I might offer to do them free to put my banner on his/her website for a while.  Or maybe a "Send me a friend who buys a site and I'll do this or that for free".  While money isn't always there, clients have a wealth of relationships and networks that I do not have.  It's a win-win when we can turn a tough period into an opportunity. :)

You are a pretty smart guy Rob.

You should stop this small business nonsense and go into big time corporate gameplay.

Thanks.  I will re-enter the corporate world once the baby (or babies) are off to school.  I'm making okay $ now, and I am on the floor playing with my son all day long, going on walks, swimming, etc, really loving every day.  So I have another 4 or 5 years til I gotta wear a tie and say "yes sir" again.

All this over $1200? That's like 2-3 honest days work. Big fucking deal.

everything is relative...$1200 for you may not be anything but to someone else it could mean a house payment..

Sites are shut down for lack of payment all the time, but I can't say I have ever seen one say "shut down for lack of payment".

I like you Isaac, I think you hand done a lot for the industry and have helped many, but I think a "internal error" message would have still got the problem solved.

I would have been mortified if it was me.   :-\

The thing is, Laura, if we were as popular as him we could have done what he did.

'Lift Studios' was totally out of order. He new by putting that message up it would be on all the boards immediately, embarrassing and humiliating King. What kind of a snake does that? Certainly not one with any business acumen - hundreds of potential clients now know 'Isaac' to be a nasty little fag with a childish vindictive streak. Hes finished.

People are saying King is broke, yet conveniently ignore his new contracts. It seems to me 'Isaac' is broke, scrambling around in the dirt for a few dollars. Hes finished.

I worked for a law firm in their IT dept, then did a proj mgmt programming gig in a 500+ employee, highly bureaucratic Fortune 500 company.  Having only worked for the school district then the University before that, it was a huge adjustment.  When the department head asked for an idea and you had something really good for him, you couldn't just shoot him an email with an idea that fit perfectly.  you had to give it to your boss, who made changes, who gave it to his boss, who made changes, who then gave it to the guy who asked for it, a week later with his name on it.  Your original vision was completely distorted by then, and the 2nd to top guy trying to take credit for it didn't have the technical ability to clearly explain the concept to the boss, but he didn't want to relinquish credit.

I can see the advantages - system keeps working when any cogs fall out, more stable for the stockholder.  But so very hard to grow things, adapt quickly, or have any fun in that kinda system.

He asked me to bill him on a WEEKLY basis

Why would anyone want to receive bills on a weekly basis.

If King was as rich as he claims to be ::), he should thank Lift for not having his shit together and billing him one lump sum after 8 months...so that he could collect the interest on the money.

Monster investment savy.

You should not be saying "yes sir". You should be the fucking owner. Other people should say "yes sir" to you.

Thanks for your two cents but it wasn't a hosting issue. King runs his site on his own server, not mine. 8 months is ample time to pay a bill and ample notice.

When you receive numerous requests for payment and don't pay, then you force people to take action. That's what I did and in doing so I received my payment.

End of story.

how are you able to "take his site down" if it is on his own server, that is interesting.

 He just CAN!

Lots of things are not being said and left out but dont even attempt to stick up for him.

Lift is in the RIGHT and KK is waaaay in the wrong.

Too bad Lift is too much of a gentleman and decent man to NOT post the other "proof".

Wrong. YOU read my work here all day long.

YOU don't know what happened. The ONLY information you have is what you see here. But hey...it was a 'glitch'. Just a 'misunderstanding'.

If Ron Himself says so...then is must be true.

i knew lift had the details.  and disgusted, your a cool person on the boards, and your loyalty is understood, but i bet disgusted is getting his payments on time, if hes actually charging for his services.

i do hear the "lift that was wrong" chant, but this is 8 months.   i hear what you were saying earlier sandycoosworth, and since i personally dont know the law regarding this, ill just not comment.  but in priciple, i think most agree lift had to do something, and sending a paypal invoice was not cutting it.  small claims court must be filed in the state that your sueing, so thats off the table.   so whats left.  take down the site.  of course lift did add his little touch to it with the "lack of payment" but with 8 months of requesting payment, i think lift's response was fair.   in all, i think most would agree the site had to go down.  i just happen to personally like lift's style of taking it down.

First off, let me say that I'm not a fan of either Lift or Kamali.

That said, I don't know WHY Isaac is catching so much shit. He was owed money for his services, and Kamali was not a couple of week behind here......we're talking months.

It could be worse, and Lift could have sent the balance to collection......... :-\

Perhaps Kamali should stop leasing a Hummer, and get himself a Honda Civic......... ;)
