Agreed about NorthCali, but we dont have as many nationalities here compared to LA.
Not sure where in NorCal you're located, but in the Bay Area we have every race, color and creed. (not sure if that's a correct way of saying it, but it sounds good!).
In SF, you've got all types of Asian heritage, blacks, mexicans, russian, indian (both native and middle eastern)....you name it we have it. And the restaurant section of the phone book is divided by types of food you want (Mediterranean, Chinese, BBQ, Burgers ("americana"), so on and so forth.
When you start getting to the outskirts, the diversity starts to fall but it's still diverse. Marin has plenty of whites, but there is the Canal that is almost 100% Latino. Lots of diversity outside if you look around. And I still stand by that we have more diversity than SoCal.
