I am trying to cut out the later carbs and cut out soda more...since I've done it I've dropped 2%BF.  I am just eating fruit and tuna (canned and fresh  ;D) before I go to bed.

it is not known fact that you don't need the amount of protein that everyone recommends for natural training. you can get by .5gr/lb and still build muscle.  It is also known that the PWO shake must consist of malto or dextrin to assist in musle repair and growth

That you don't need to take in more calories than you burn to gain muscle.  I have read alot of Hollywood stars go on extreme protein and moderate carbs diets to bulk up and drop BF.  I read that CHristian Bale and the dude from Punisher did that.  Dunno if it's true, I'm sure they had some AAS but it seems like it might work.

as stated a proper mixture of carbs/pro is important, alot of guys are obsessed with consuming 1.5+/gr. Too much of anything will be converted into fat.

Really depends of what phase you are in before a show, protien should always be kept relatively high and the carb intake should be used to help manipulate BW, Protein for the bodybuilder has three uses, repair, build and to regulate water levels, carbs, as most of you know are your energy source and fats should always be kept low. When I diet or when I used to train bodybuilders I always preferred preferred cycling carb intake every 5 days, in otherwords, 4 days low 5th day high. Regulating calorie intake alone won't work for the bodybuilder or athlete, the it's the macros that need to be manipulated. I will however use a calorie controlled diet for the overweight people that are my gereral public clientel!

How about when trying to gain muscle?  Can you do the opposite and do 5 high carb days and two low ones?
