Well, I don't know about you guys, but whenever I do barbell shrugs I like to deadlift the bar to start the set, I don't take it out of the rack.
Now, If Adonis is stating that he's done that weight for just a single, I'm ok with it, because if it was a shrug, he would have to deadlift it to start the set, anyway, as I , too, can't see the pins in the power rack, like someone already said.....
As long as there are no pins in the rack, and no support to rest the bar to start a shrug, he would have had deadlifted that weight off the ground, and if he stated that he did a just one rep with that weight, it will be the same thing, and I rest my case.
