Same thing goes for skinny or fit people. There's no reason for being fat, other that being a lazy piece of shit. STOP MAKING EXCUSES. YOU DISGUST ME.
My mom was always slim, and after years of repeated back injuries in her career as a nurse, she suffers from degenerative disk disease. She is in chronic debilitating pain 24-7. The only pills that ease her pain enough to allow her to be able to, say, take a shower and drive a car, increase her appetite. Add to the fact that she quit smoking after 30 years (yay) and then tack menopause onto that, and you have a problem. She can't work out. She can barely walk. Her back problems spread to her neck and hips. After so many years of being unable to move around a lot, she now has osteoporosis. Due to the many years of high stress at her job, and other factors, she now has Crohn's and colitis and Type-2 Diabetes (she was never a big sweet-eater and always had low blood sugar). So yeah, she's fat. Her metabolism is at a crawl and that's just the way it is. Some of the medicine she's on for her Crohn's makes her feel as though needles are being driven into her feet - so it's even harder to walk. So when someone says "there's no reason for being fat, other than being a lazy piece of shit," I think of the time my mother, being a nurse, pulled a 3-year old boy out of the Hudson River, who had been under at LEAST 8 minutes, and brought him back to life after doing CPR for 15 minutes. The kid had NO brain damage, and he was DEAD. So her being a nurse has saved more than one life. So yeah, she's overweight, and she's also my fucking hero and she's beautiful. So maybe you should think before you write.
