Let me set the record straight about Orville
-not a nice guy at all
-borrowed lots of money from training partners and friends and conveniently forgot about it
-had one of the guys mentioned by Special Ed drive him to and from the gym every day for months, train with him for the O, only to never even thank him
-got kicked out of more than one gym for being rude to paying members
-left his tiny 1 BR apt only to train and go to church, otherwise played video games and read comics all day
-married Kiki only because she promised to take care of him financially
-moved to NJ after his surgery and never fully recovered
-asked the former owners of Steel Gym to pay all his travel expenses going to the O and never mentioned the gym in an interview or thanked the owners
-did the same thing to the owner of Hardcore Fitness when competing as an amateur

sounds like you knew him very well. I failed to mention him being an asshole because my mother always said not to speak ill of the dead. Desmond Miller reminds me a lot of Orville in terms of his delusions, his arrogance, his Caribbean heritage and his massive laZiness, relying on his wife to hold down a job while he hones his Xbox skillz.
All you need to know about Orville is the Munoz story. Victor is a decent guy who was helping Orville for free. All he asked in return was for a simple plug in the BTFO video and Orville wouldn't do it. My dealings with the Burkes revealed a very paranoid and self absorbed couple convinced that everyone was screwing them over, which I've since learned is a common trait in those who themselves are not to be trusted.
Namat, don't everkid yourself into believing you can make a living or career out of pro bodybuilding without spending significant time at Weinberger's Powerhouse Gym paying tribute to Steve. From Orville to Victor Martinez to Kevin English to new pro Jeff Long, the road to Success for any non magazine guy goes through Steve. Find a good steady job and don't give it up for the $4,000 show money at the Olympia
