there doesn't seem to be a 'scientific' data ever performed.

Basically...if you look or examine a Rottweilers jaw....it's the same as a Pit...but larger, bigger, & yes...more muscle.
Plus you factor in their weight & neck muscles (for a Rottweiler over a Pit)....it's hard to say.
I always found it 'curious' but honestly...never want to be on the receiving end of a chi let a lone a Pit or Rot.
You can take a 'large' Pit....& the results may very dramatically....then you can do the same with a large Rot.
I am just going by breed standards.
Pulling a sled....there's a whole different topic. I have always found the heart & determination of a pulling dog so unbelievable.
