Have you sensed pretensions of moral superiority from Christians on this board? Or are you basing this statement on more real life encounters?

But if people are going to believe in such things and claim the mantle of the virtuous Christian, they should be 'praying' for those whose entire lives, from cradle to grave, have consisted of nothing but pain, hardship, discomfort and endless struggle.

What makes you think they don't? 

There should be massive prayer requests for millions of people in subsaharan Africa; alas there is nothing of the sort to be seen.

I merely wish to point out the selfcentredness and hypocrisy of many Christians, whose prayers (it can be readily inferred) tend to only concern themselves or some close affiliate of themselves.

I've never met Beach, nor his friend Ron, nor other people's friends here and/or family members for whom they are requesting prayer.  And there are very few people on this board that know  people for whom I have requested prayer here.

Thanks all.  He's back at work today.  Very strong man. 

One of my partners who had a baby a month ago just stopped by (still on maternity leave).  Beautiful baby.  The circle of life.

Just an update on my friend Ron.  His cancer has spread.  His doctor has given him three months.  He'll be leaving the island in two weeks to spend his last few months with his family on the mainland.  I'll probably never see him again.  Thanks for your prayers for him and his family.

Thanks Stella.  Ron passed away yesterday.  I will miss him, but I'll see him in heaven.  Very sad to lose his friendship.  He was a good man.  Thanks for your prayers. 

I have another person who is a friend and someone I've done business with who just learned she has breast cancer.  She just went to Texas for treatment.  I think she'll be fine, but please keep her in your prayers.  Her name is Diana. 

Cancer is such a terrible disease.

Thank you so much tony!  Her surgery went well and she is doing well so far thank God and thank you for your prayers!  It looks as though she'll be in the hospital for 2-3 more days and then will be sent home.  If you have time, please pray for quick and proper healing w/no complications and for her spirits and her family's spirits to be kept high and hopeful.  Thanks so much!
