No i'm not going to the show... Wish i was... Heavy Metal is a really BIG deal here in Scandinavia and esp. in Finland. Absolutely everyone listen to it (at least the ones that aren't suffering from hypo-gonadism). We have plenty of Heavy Metal festivals here and they are the biggest in the world. One of the festival that is arranged here every year is only about a mile a way from the Presidents "palace" and it's 80 000 people shouting and screaming while that bitch (president) is trying to drink her morning coffee... Or what ever that lesbian drinks.

If anyone likes metal here's some good bands, from here...

Stratovarius, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica etc.

Also as for why it's a BIG deal here, i'd say it's largely because our tough history, heritage and the way we got through it all and are doing pretty good these days.

I've seen Metallica a bunch of times in the last 15 years. They are nothing like they used to be and they play alot of their new trash now in concert, I'd save my money. i was dissappointed the last 2 times i saw them.

PRE 90's Metallica is some of the best heavy metal ever made.

AGREED. I grew up in Nor Cal where Metallica really took off after they moved up from LA. They played a bunch of small venues when they were still unknown and the radio was scared to play them. Then I saw them when they started to play stadiums all the way until their recent stuff.
I even saw them at Monsters of Rock at Candlestick in SF early 90's and they were the first band out before Kingdom Come and Dokken!! See what Radio can do to a band??? Man, that was ages ago...

Sucky story...last time they were here was on the St. Anger tour and like every big concert all the radio stations were giving away free tickets. Well on one occasion one station gave away 4 front row tickets with backstage passes and limo ride to and from the show...all you had to do was call in and name the 3 Ozzy songs they were about to play. And wouldn't you know it, I got through, but I was so excited that I couldn't name the last song...had a brain fart. After a couple of minutes I shouted the name out but the DJ said, "I don't know, that took a while...sorry next caller." Needless to say, I was pissed.

I've never been to Wacken festival, i really don't see the point of traveling to another country when there's better options 30 mins from home...

Well, I managed to kick my own ass at the gym today. I took the past two days off so today I went a little crazy. I did 50 sets in about 70 minutes (25 back, 15 triceps, & 10 chest) & then banged out 45 minutes of cardio. Right now I'm ready to pass out.

Damn, i think i might have a heart attack if i tried that!

i usually do about 16 sets in 1 hour.

i had a damn good back workout on friday, starting to do deadlifts with 135 for sets of 30. a far cry from what i've done in the past but it feels good to deadlift.

i went to the Paul Barbee APF meet on saturday and it was great. one of my training partners squated 722 and tiny meeker attempted a 1014 bench in a double ply but bombed the lift. i saw a 65 year old man almost deadlift 490, it was incredible. another guy benched over 600 pounds RAW, a good meet to get my blood flowing again, i'm ready for my turn now.

Sounded like a nice meet Overload.

I finally have a couple of days off from work (nine to be exact), i'll tell you guys this didn't come a moment too soon. I was getting really sick of those junkies, hippies and other grade A bozos. I had to throw out people ALL NIGHT...

Well i decided to relax BIG TIME so i paid a hefty amount for a nice cruise for the entire family. Were leaving on weekend and this ship is so awesome you can't believe it...

I literally passed out on the couch with the ball game on that night. Now, I can't workout for about a week.

It was my anniversary this weekend. Went out yesterday for an amazing dinner. Diet was out the window this weekend - shit probably put on five pounds.

Enjoy.

Thanks, i just came back. It was only for two nights and 2,5 days. It was from Helsinki-Stockholm-Helsinki. The ship was really luxorious and our cabin was on dec 10, there was 13 on that ship. I and my kid-brother met some American women, who were really cool. They were from Ohio and we partied with them until morning. They had Finnish grand parents, so they were in Scandinavia to visit family and stuff. Man, i blew a SHITLOAD of cash in just two days. This ship was great, i mean everything was really nice from shops to the casino and the SPA. I bought so much souveniers that we got a gift certificate for a NEW cruise for free...

Ok, so get this:

I just came back from the gym and i felt a little "weak" and the first thing that came into my mind was "it's because i've been sweating so much." Obviously i get plenty of natrium, magnesium, vitamins- b, c, etc. but i think i'm not getting enough Potassium. So i went into the pharmacy and asked for a bottle of zink and potassium. The staff member "dumb ass blonde" asked me if i have a scrip? I said NO! Why would i need a prescription for something OTC? She said that potassium is so dangerous that she would not feel ok to sell it to me, without doctors orders. I told her: "look i do know quite a bit about these things". After a short conversation (in which i was very polite) she refused to sell me POTASSIUM!

I don't like to bitch, but this same shit happens every time i'm in contant with any "healtcare" system. Every time i go to a pharmacy and buy my C, B or what ever i get rude service and childish comments. AND THE one thing about why that pisses me off plenty is because i carry so much cash to these places.

Maybe i should make an official complaint and say the reason i'm getting rude service is because:

#1 My race (i'm white)
#2 My sexual orientation (i'm straight)
#3 My religion (i'm christian, like 90% of us fins)

HAH HAH HAA...
