He use to have a tiny waist.  Now he doesn't.  He use to have a V taper.  Now he doesn't.    His lose of a V shape is not due to additional muscle.  It is due to an increase of viceral fat, the fat between the internal organs.   This is a side effect of insulin abuse.  You never saw it in bodybuilders prior to the late 1980s.
Yeah, no it's not.

And thanks to that bit of info from you, I now know not to listen to any of your advice in the future... "Expert" or not.

If you kept dieting could you burn viceral fat?

sure...if they come off and diet down to a skinny twig and start from scratch..

but vanity won't allow them to...

see the disgusted/kamili experiment for further details
Here comes the money shot

When I started working with Hide people were saying NO WAY he will ever make it on Olympia stage...here on getbig last year I promised HE WILL BE ON OLYMPIA STAGE WITHIN A YEAR...He almost qualified in his last show 2006 (4th in Holland)...He could/should qualify at the Ironman (pics I am posting here)...but nevertheless he did manage to qualify week later.

He is FIRST Japanese bodybuilder EVER TO QUALIFY for the Olympia...and HE IS ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER... ;D

As long as mass over all else continues to be rewarded, he'll do well.  There will just be fewer and fewer contests with fewer and fewer people in the audience to perform to.

Protein of your choice?

You post implies that Johnny Jackson will be a threat to win the O this year. I believe that even some of the "experts" around here would say that's a bit far fetched.

There is no consensus on what causes the gut. There are plenty of pros and experts who DO feel insulin is responsible. Do you feel Jim Magnone is a simple crackpot or hater? What about Sean Maloney? There are tons of pros who've gone on record saying insulin causes big guts. Do they just have an agenda - to hate on Milos? I don't think Kamali has worked with Milos but he feels insulin caused his gut.

As far as Hide's gut, see the pic on page 3 again. Yes, it sticks out further that his chest. No it's not as bad as Ronnie's. You can't deny it's grown A LOT for whatever reason.

See here garraeth. You tell me it doesn't push slightly past his chest. The ab shape used to be sort of concave, now it's convex.

Really?

2004 when I suggested Gustavo will be a threat - I was told he could not make top 10 even if half of the judging panel comes from Puerto Rico...
He was ignored at the prejudging...12th man called out and ONCE HE GOT THE CHANCE he moved up to top 10...top 9-8-7-6-5-4...and finished 3rd...

I had him winning that year - and as some experts (I promised not to mention names - so I won't) - said: in the "perfect world" Gustavo could/should have won that show...
At his previous Olympia - he was 24th out of 25 guys...

I am ONLY and ALWAYS trying to get the most out of each and every guy I work with...and on the day of the contest - let the best man win...

JJ is PHENOMENON that could...should and WILL come ready to fight...and JJ at his 100% could, should and if we live "in the perfect world" I would say possibly will have a chance to win it.

But, he will have to deal with few of his teammates as each and every guy coming from Koloseum is going to shows ready to fight...

I don't work with people who train to LOOSE...

I am preparing EVERYONE for one thing - be the best you can be...and believe you can win...AND MANY, MANY, MANY GREAT BODYBUILDERS NOWADAYS COULD VERY EASILY BEAT JAY, RONNIE, VICTOR...and others .

I don't see anyone so superior or 'unbeatable'...it is ONLY FEELING THAT IFBB will NOT ALLOW this or that...and I think - otherwise.

Judges are more and more actually watching the shows...and JUDGING...
Last few shows I witnessed make me believe that indeed - OLYMPIA 2007 is up for grabs...and I have few guys with legitimate chance to take that title.

JJ is just one of them.

He is with me whole week next week - enough time to "grow bigger" ;D than Jay and Ronnie combined...

There is no consensus on what causes the gut.

There is more and more in the medical community, and it's coming from HIV research.   The protruding stomach due to an increase in visceral fat (adipose cells) is a common side effect from certain HIV meds, and it seems to be worse for people on HIV meds and growth hormone.  And these HIV meds are known to affect insulin sensitivity.

Let me put it like this:

IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING - INSULIN COULD BE YOUR VERY BEST FRIEND...AND WHEN YOU DON'T - IT WILL BECOME YOUR WORST ENEMY....

People against INSULIN (regardless if we are talking about knowing how to take advantage of endogenous or using exogenous) really DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE IT TO THEIR ADVANTAGE...

Under certain circumstances - YES - it will do all the horrible things few of you mention....but UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES - IT WILL BE BY FAR BODYBUILDER'S BEST FRIEND...BY FAR.

Basically keep it high around workouts only?

I know but like you say these are HIV+ people and not healthy athletes.

If I'm not mistaken growth hormone is used there to lower visceral fat even though it's known to cause insulin resistance.

Well...IF EVERYONE STARTS THINKING...ANSWERS WOULD JUST COME...

That is good start...but I would not finish with "ONLY"...
