And the key word is "functional" and thats why I say he proabably stronger than ANYONE on this board.

Guess they should start incorporating gymnastics movements into powerlifting meets.

That is extremely hard, and very, very impressive.

May look ghey and all, but try it out if you doubt me. The handstand pushups are hard enough, but the full parallel extension pushups are beyond impressive. The amount of ab, back and shoulder strength required to do those is obscene.....It is not so much the 'push' aspect, but the suspension of the body is murderous.

Who cares if it's difficult to do since the end result was the physique of a metrosexual tennis player.  Please inform me of exactly who's going to know he can do these push ups when he's walking down the street in a t-shirt?  Next, who's not going to notice a guy with 20 pythons!!???  Ahahahahahhaha!  Epic 12 inch quads!  No wonder he can easily lift himself that way... not much to lift... ahahahahhaha!

not a fair comparison to make.

these guys have some of the worlds best "natural" physiques, if they juiced to the level of pro BBers I guarantee that they would look way better.

they should if they want to test strength through a full range of motion rather than seeing who is the strongest at quarter reps.

Not disputing that, but on the flip side a top gymnast will see more financial and life benefits from it than any bodybuilder.

Gymnastics is one of the top watched things when the Olympics air, millions of people worldwide watch it, while bodybuilding is relegated to webcasts.

He trains his body to do specific functions just like bodybuilders do. Its useless to compare the strength of the two.

yeah to a large extent strength is specific to the movement patterns that you train.  so it's really a matter of deciding which movements you would rather be able to do.

Here is a guy with polio (B-Boy Junior) doing planche push ups on the tip of his fingers:
  at 2:53
  at 1:41

I think if fitness routines contained some of these moves that those breakdancing guys can do it would make the routines much more attractive.
Look at the audience numbers these guys can attract. Should be able to get some more money in the fitness routines if they weren't so boring.
Stacy Hilton, Jenny Worth, Adela Garcia and Bridgette Newell were the only ones who could keep me looking at their routines.

The fitness industry can learn from something like this:

Plenty of strength moves in these competitions and entertaining as hell too!

Funny thing is, he's literally stronger than anyone on this board!!

stronger at that move, maybe, but so what?

next you'll say he has a stronger core. right, that's how come john bernor can squat 720x5 without a belt, right? ::)

oh but wait, bernor's fat, which means he's out of shape. now you didn't say anything about shape, just strength. you're wrong no matter what, bud. all we see there is he's very coordinated. his body works well as a unit.

he ain't stronger than most of us, i'd wager. let alone "anyone". i guaranfuckingtee you i could get someone doing that kind of pushup far faster than i could get them benching 500 pounds.

notice how the "related videos" has whole shitload of people doing those things. how many people bench more than 5 plates? hmm...

I used to respect Coach, but he is a liar now, plain and simple. He knows damn well that that guy is not stronger than anyone on Getbig.

Exactly.

For those who think its easy, try the parrallel planche, trust me.

I have lifted some decent weight [actually cheesy weight, but comparitively speaking for a smallish natty chick] in my time, but nothing compares to the strain my routine moves put on me. Some took me years to be able to do.

Besides strength, they also required balance, agility etc encompasses so many things.

I am sure they are hard to do, but that doesn't make that dude stronger than anyone on Getbig. If that fella went to the gym and wanted to get onto his precious rings and the only thing standing between him and his rings were MOS, do you think that using his power and strength he could get past MOS?

I guess that I should be impressed but I am not

I know there are different kinds of strength, Coach just happens to think that that guy, while he may or may not be able to get a 1000 pound total in a PL competition, is stronger than anyone on here. ::) You are right, I am stupid. ::)

Concur.

Like I said, no offence to anyone, it is easy to sit and make comments if you have never tried. The same way that some of those people that cannot bench say 400lbs think they can train for a couple of months and do it.

Simply try to suspend your whole body out parrellel to the ground on your arms, and see how easy it is then. Not trying to be rude, I am serious. Give it a go anyone who doubts and then come back and post ;D

so take 2 average individuals that don't actively work out..equal in every way
I will give you 1 year..can you train one them to do that routine and the other to bench 405 for a couple of reps?   ::)

without "supplements"

dont you get it yet? it depends on how you define stronger, einstein.

some people here think, that a fat guy belly bumbing a 600lbs barbell 3 inches while wearing a bench shirt that wont allow him to even lower less than 500 to his belly is the ultimate and only test of strength.  ::)

the person would not be able to do either most likely.
