But there is a lot involved in a show - insurance, venue, people, security, unions, fees, hall costs, sanctions, prize money, advertising, actually getting sponsors and so much more. People just figure it is so easy - but it isnt.

Strongly disagree.

They've got a very loyal NPC athlete and fanbase in Colorado. On top of that, Denver is a beautiful travel destination and a great place to spend a weekend...very clean and family-friendly with excellent restaurants and plenty of arts and culture.

As I saw it, the major mistakes in year 1 (I missed this year's) were as follows:

1) Selecting a far too expensive venue
2) Awarding way too much prize money
3) Focusing too much on the pro show and failing to promote the NPC portion

Change those things moving forward and this show could become an annual event, no question!

At least we had a pro show in Denver, and they tried it out. I was quite happy to go to Denver for the show, it is a beautiful city, and the sights around there were cool! If you don't try, you don't succeed.

Tre you are correct. There is a very big NPC following here and a number of great pros and top NPC athletes. Denver is a great city and everyone will be reminded of it next week during the World Series.

• The venue is huge - the Olympia could be held there as well as more than enough expo space. There were efforts to find other places but they would not be downtown, which helped add to the atmosphere of the event.

• Agreed on the prize money - it didn't bring out any more or better competitors because of it.

• The NPC portion was promoted well locally but it also hurt the numbers for some of our other shows. Many competitors wanted to compete in it because of all the press in town.

I will let Shawn speak on his event and its future.
