Not sure I would call it lying. He might be obscenely misinformed or simply not have a complete understanding of the circumstances surrounding the events.

You should watch the news, Brix. The story came out around July 14, 2007 if I recall correctly. I was on vacation and saw it and thought "so a repub and a dem have both let him go now. charming."
