He will very likely take the show.
His current condition would put him as one of the better conditioned athletes on stage.

He's in gym lighting....but the Ironman has great lighting too.
i dont know. sure phil is huge now. but victors back is so much better.

Since when did bb revert to the AAU? Strength displays are a thing of the past, move on gh15.
couldn't agree more GH, why do you think that the strength level of bodybuilders has gone down so much since the 80's and 70's? better drugs back then?

still 25 45  dont matter those arms need to work with nothing less than 60lb on a bad tired day,,should go up to 100lb for dumbel single arm behind the neck easily even while prep ,,the guy hold still lots of water he playing with penuts,,we all do its disturbing what happened last 20 years

100lb one arm behind neck? And while dieting? Thats an injury waiting to happen.

Crappy machine workouts, no more heavy deadlifts and free weight exercises.

Personally I have to laugh when I see a Cutler training dvd, tons of size, and 315 for reps deadlifts ::), what a mess.

A guy like Franco Columbo, that's what bb is about.

weights are a tool to stimulate and maximize muscle growth, he cares what he is pushing? His goal should be to remain injury free while trying to make progress.

all arms... big deals... narrow shoulders and small pecs... he will look good by himself. when compared to guys with big and wider frames heath gets lost.. adding two more inches to his arms wont help him.

shame of whatr happened to bodybuilding,,,25lb dumbells on arms the size of the ocean,,there is only one thing to blame for this and its the drugs,,TONS OF DRUGS,,the physiqe is good but the guy is a walking pharmacy with very little strngth to demonstrate for the size of muscle he holds,,the 80s was the end of bodybuilding ,,1989 to be exact

really bodybuilding is starting to look like shame now days more than ever

yes i know hes 5 weeks out and its his 40 sets,,i heard those stories before i told them and stil dobut its all drugs ,,,

Good reply...GH.  You make me think you are Dennis James since he is the only guy who would talk about bbers lifting baby weights since he pushs s##t like Ronnie.  You could also be Ruhl.  Second...Ronnie is the theory killer.  He would have moved heavy weight in the 80s and probably moved s##t at Grambling natural...just a horse with a football (LB) background.  Phil gives you the same as Flex did on s##t.  Superman arms with little width which he cant control.  I've got him 1st at the Ironman.  The Arnold is a hard call given he'll face the big boys with more width.  But he has the Flex Wheeler appeal to his physique.  If top guys are off a bit...he wins the Arnold.

Lift...did Phil lift at Better Bodies on Iliff back in the day?  I remember an amateur who looked something like him about 5 yrs ago.
Oh...Monica!

I dunno they say hes 5'9" looks more like 5' 6 or 7 anyway you look at it to short and to narrow. Shit lee Preist had a complete package with a better chest than Heath where did that get him. It tough for these shorter narrower guys they just dissapear during call outs. Esp with monsters like Freeman and Wolf.

I think he is a legit 5'9.  Unless he is wearing some really big shoes or boots, which they say Palumbo does.

It's good to see that Phil took alexxx's advice on training arms.

Seems like it paid off.

Remember the last guy who declined alexxx's advice?
How did his arms look at the O? ;)

Maybe back then there was more "old school" lifting, deads, squats, and bench and less reliance on a ton of drugs?

It's hard too believe that picture is not moped. He wasn't THAT big back then. But if it is, its not the first time BB magazines make the pro's looking bigger and better than they actually are/was.
