Exactly.
You could always wear thicker pants, which will help. But reality is, it's still gonna happen. Deal with it.....pretty legs are for women.
Funny you said that. Once I was deadlifting in some pretty thick sweats, not for protection.
I was home to visit my parents for Christmas last year and decided to train at home. Dad has a pretty much fully functional gym in the basement. In Western NC it's cold as hell on a late December morning and there's no heat down there, so I was covered up!
I did my workout, didn't go too heavy, only worked up to 500 for some sets of 3 or 5 and didn't think too much about it. I knew I hit my shins more than once, but didn't really regard it as anything unusual.
So, I finish my Deadlift/back workout and went upstairs for breakfast. Mom says "What's on your pants?" I looked down and there was blood coming through the leg of my sweats. When I went to take them off, they had already started to scab up and stick to my leg!
Okay. It sounded better in my head, but I thought it was pretty funny.
