Gobama!

The Democratic race is FAR from over, though, especially when you consider the reality that Michigan and Florida will *have* to be given proper primaries.

It's BULL FUCKING SHIT that the Democratic National Committee has the authority to tell the people of a particular state, "Sorry, but your votes in the primary will not count this year".

There needs to be more public outrage over this and I'm disappointed that there hasn't been.
There should be NO outrage at all, and I'm glad there isn't. FL an MI knew the rules of the game going in, and they defied the party order. You can't just move your primaries up to a date whenever you feel like it. Fuck em'...their delegates don't count and its their own damn fault.

Billary is already trying to steal the FL and MI delegates, but it won't work and it will make her more despised than she already is. Obama wasn't even on the ballot in MI!

I find it kinda funny that the very same people who'd blasted Biden for 'borrowing' speech lines are giving a pass to Obama for his own rippings.

I can't help but feel that a white candidate wouldn't have gotten away with it.  Are we giving him a 'knee-jerk' pass because he's black?  Or do we expect less from him because he's black, or what?

I guess there's a difference when the guy you're borrowing from was the one giving you the advice of what to say. ::)

Frankly, Obama doesn't know what to say.  Maybe that's the problem.

They're called speechwriters.  We're talking about plagiarism.

Yeah, that's probably closer to the truth.  He just doesn't give a shit and the dingbat wing of his party gives him a pass on it for some 'mysterious' reason.

Not quite plagiarism when you have a relationship of exchanging these ideas with a person ::)  Nice try.  These two have a history and an acquaintanceship in this regard.  It's not the same boat as stealing someone's lines IE plagiarism... In this respect it is no different than a speechwriter. move on fool ::)

Obamamania will fizzle out and all that will be left is his inexperience.  Hillary needs to stand up and fight or she and the dems will loose bigtime.

You can have your opinions, but by what political calculus do you think Obama and dems will fizzle ?
Do you not look at voter turnout numbers in all the primary elections this year?
Dems outnumber GOP 2:1.

I dunno.  The Clinton political machine is just plain awesome.  Rich, powerful, and connected beyond belief.  I still think hilary will find a way to convince the delegates to choose her.

If she was unable to expose Obama as a fraud, I don't know if McCain can.  He seems to have his own problems at the moment.

You pretty much nailed it, well said .
I voted for Ron Paul in the Ga primary , but will now support Obama.
I would hate to think that a good man like McCain will get trashed over flirting with some hot blonde lobbyist a few years back....geeeeeeeeeeeeeee sh.
By the way, both McCain and Obama have hot wives. No they are not 20 something figure models, but still they are both quite pretty.

Obama is like a ferrari and Hillary is like a Range Rover.  The Ferrari flashy and looks good and people ooooh and Ahhh over it but it is only for show-offs and once it rains or hits tight corners it will skid out.  Hillary is a straight up politician.  She knows her shit and what you see is what you're going to get.  No flash with her but she is reliable and can handle many situations.  It ain't so bad that she has Bill backing her.  Bill was an amazing pres.  Even with that Monica blow job mess he would have beaten Bush if he was able to run a third term.  Can you imagine that.  Gas would be still at $1.50, Iraq wouldn't be such a mess and our dollar would actually be worth a dollar.  Freaking Bush is the biggest loser this country has ever had for pres.  Fvcking idiots who voted for him.

Well said. The reality is that any of the 3 likely winners in NOV ( McCain, Obama or Hillary) the country will be 100x better off under any of them , then with Bushy.

Change, change, change......but how, how, how?  Obama has gotten a huge pass to this point. His empty promises will be exposed, the GOP will bring up the Muslim thing as his name indicates, and this will turn off Middle America more than being a Mormon or a Catholic ever has.

Careful there.

McCain has said he'll continue many Bush policies.  Many republicans consider him a "bush 3rd term".  he'll keep the war going, and likely bomb iran.  He said we'll be in iraq for 100 years.  He'll keep the bush tax cuts for the rich and the corporations.

So the war and the economy will be the same under McCain.  I don't see how that's "100 times better" than Bush.  I agree McCain is a good man - but - his policies will be very similar to Bush's in the big things - war and economy.

An Obama/Hilary ticket is where it's heading.

Might not be a bad thing.  Let Obama be the face for the world - positive force for change.  And let Hilary handle the complex things that Obama cannot.

They're practically tied heading into the convention - Hilary will be able to demand the VP seat, probably successfully.

Bringing the troops home should not give us tons of new $ to spend...remember our rapidly growing deficit.  Everyone forgets that we are nearly 10 trillion dollars in debt and it is compounding.  As Ron Paul said, we need to stop the wasteful spending.
I wish we never entered Iraq too and I hope we pull troops home soon, but transferring funds would continue our deficit spending.  Someone has to address overall spending.  We are borrowing from other governments to fund our growing deficit and continue spending.  Thats irresponsible and also affects the value of our dollar.

McCain plans to bring a large # of troops home too...he just listens to the generals more for timing and is not announcing military strategy.  When he said troops could be there 100yrs, he specifically clarified that to mean that we would have a base there with troops, just like we do in many countries.  Don't take that out of context.

I'm very surprised Obama has gotten this far with his level of experience.  I imagine its because he presents himself so well.  Clinton and McCain have impressive records and experience compared to Obama.

My guess is that he will raise taxes on everyone making over $70,000... we already have a graduated income tax where those people pay a larger % and much larger total.  We have to close the loopholes on the ultra-wealthy and large corporations...not raise taxes.  If you raise taxes on people that spend the most (the middle and upper income brackets), people will have to cut back spending which slows the economy.
I like giving incentives to American companies who stay here and hire American workers...both Obama and Clinton proposed that.

Obama came here to campaign and chose a large baptist church in the ghetto...the crowd was...interesting.  One of my friend's sons was there.  Definitely not a cross section of America.
