250 g. of protein for a beginner?

What if said beginner is 130 lbs, that is almost 2 x bdywt. Bit excessive, no?

And he shows a workout for 6 Days a week :o I thought this was for beginners ???

Imagine a beginner reading this article and thinking he has to workout 6 days a week and eat 250g of protein per day!

There is no reason a beginner can't work out 6 days a week. If I wanted to write the intro to "Men's Health 101" I would have said "Eat soy, go for a run and go get a manicure". 250g of protein is not crazy for a beginner at all. I was eating 400g+ protein six months after I started training.

Agreed, I thought it was excessive because I did start at 14 yrs old and 150 lbs.

Shit, I was using the plastic weight set and rickety bench from K Mart way back then.

So when I think of a true beginner, that is what I was refering to. ok, lets hope no one was 130 lbs when they started but no way a young kid is going to get 250 g. protein when they first get in the game.
