I never thought he was that good anyway, better than alot of guys but the only reason he got his pro card was because of the totally watered down SHW devision.  Put the physique he had when he turned pro onstage in the early 90's and he wouldn't even make the top 6 in the HW devision.  He was pushed along cause of his looks.  He had the POTENTIAL to be a good pro but he was way to "unfinished" to do any real damage on the pro scene.

Flex Wheeler was known for having the best genetics in the sport...This guy's physique was actually a fcking joke back when he used to shave "flex" into the back of his head..Skinny with tiny joints......Just another middle weight with really good genetics taking average amounts of gear...That is until "someone" got him under there wing...

King Kamali has some of the worst genetics of any pro....But guess what, he is a pro...Now that his body is not really responding to hormones, he is being exposed what he always was...JUST ABOUT ALL FUCKING DRUGS...

The truth is, you could walk down the streets of Harlem and pick a dozen kids playing hoop under the age of 16, put them under the wing of a Jay Cutler or Joe Weider and if they respond to hormones, they will be a top level bodybuilder by the time they reach there mid to late 20's(of course with dedication)...And it will all come down to how they respond to hormones....Because if they don't respond to hormones, they will just be another skinny middle weight with awesome genetics....So anyone who says drug plays a tiny role is a fcking douch bag of Tom Tognelli proportions and is living in denial..(These people are always the ones who are competing themselves or selling it)

Using your female example unequivocally proves that genetics are the #1 determining factor in whether or not someone can look like Ronnie, Heath, Leverone, etc.  No amount of drugs will ever turn whomever the reigning Ms. Olympia is, into anything that comes close to rivaling the reigning Mr. Olympia.  The females are limited genetically.

Do drugs work?  Yes.  Are they a necessary element in becoming a competitive pro? Yes.  Could anyone who trains, eats & juices like Ronnie look like Ronnie?  NO!

right on the money.  I kinda felt bad for him when he turned pro cause I knew he was gonna get buried.  Why not be honest with him and just say "look, you're a bug guy but you need a few more years"?  Like I said he had a good physique but put him onstage with any of the top guys and he gets killed even at his best.

not to stick up for him but to be fair he's sick as hell these days, I don't think he can eat anywhere near what he would have to to support any muscle and he's just got a ton of health problems.  I know he did it to himself and all that jazz but you can't look at the physique he has there and say anything about BB....except that if you go nuts you might end up like that.

you got to feel bad for his wife,,the girl liked muscle and size,,,she was the epidome of a girl that liked muscle and  size and now what she is with? something i dont wish on my worst enemy,,she learned her lesson so to say,,this is why youll never hear him talk or write or say a word about bodybuilding the way he used to,,they both learned  a big lesson of life

Even though he's not eating and training for bodybuilding anymore, the genes should still be there, right? To me, he looks like a regular guy.
