Not really... What I'm trying to convey is that just because your favorite MMA guy has skills doesn't mean he can't get beat up by the guy who can arguably be considered the greatest fighter in the history of the world.

You're talking about being a Fan boy when Tyson has stood toe to toe with guys who were considered tough and he's knocked them out.

He's beat people up in street fights and he's walked away... Where have your guys fought? In a ring with some rules.

It's like saying that Bruce Lee wasn't a bad ass when he used to hang out in Hong Kong picking fights to show how tough he was.

Tyson was beating up grown men in street fights when he wasn't even finished with puberty. He went to Prison and no one in the yard wanted any.

The octagon isn't the streets... In the streets, people pull weapons and don't give a shit, yet Tyson kept beating people up.

Like I said... I've met Tyson... and even today, not one of the MMA superstars has stepped up to see if they can beat the man.

What did Rick Flair used to say? "To be the man, you've got to beat the man."

So far, no MMA man has stood up to make it happen... Like I said... Tyson will certainly take the money, so why doesn't the UFC or whoever make it happen?

Keep worshiping the shamrocks or the Fedors or whatever... Everyone is a cage fighter now.

You gotta spar everyday, day in and day out, week after week. With Mike, I would spar him up until two or three days before a fight."

Don't waste your time Holmes, this dude is so delusional, he would put Chris Lebon in the ring with a 19 year old Tyson and still claim Tyson would be a sitting duck. I really, really hope Brock Lesner and Kimbo rule the UFC in the future, just to show these emos how easy it is for any fighter to excel in this "sport".

Yeah, I'm done... I've laid out all of the facts, if people want to believe that their favorite MMA guy would beat up Tyson, then let them... Tyson has proven his skills many times over, I don't have to vouch for him.

I'll say this.

I'm no bad ass... but I'm not "afraid" of too many people...

Tyson, when I met him, scared the shit out of me. You know how you can look at a person's eyes and kind of see how they are... All I saw was crazy... CRAZY.

i agree great fighter not a great boxer skill wise,after 1990 loss and jail stint never the same especially against taller and more skilled fighter like say holyfield,holyfield was conditioned to box his way through,dance and stretch the rounds and use corners,mike got antsy to get the big blow which at this point in his career is all he had,when he got frustrated he low blowed,or bit lol..like holyfields ear like a mrs fields peanut butter cookie.soft and chewy.

Tyson was a great talent, but HW division was terribly weak in that era. Some of these comments are ridiculous.

Why do you think that no pro boxer has crossed over to mma ? how about the middle of the pack boxers who arent making much money in boxing ? They should be able to dominate right ?

Very true.

Mike just didn't listen to the people who were trying to tell him the truth about her. He let her fuck up the business relationship with Bill Cayton and he let her fuck up the friendship/relationship with Kevin Rooney.

In late 1987, Mike was dating Robin, Miss U.S.A. Suzette Charles, and supermodel Naomi Campbell at the same time. He invited all three to his fight against Tony Tucker. Bill Cayton had them sit in separate parts of the arena so that the three wouldn't be in close proximity to each other.

Robin knew she needed a hook. She told Mike she was pregnant. Rooney called her out because he knew she faked the pregnancy to get Mike to marry her. Mike fired Kevin for it. Three fights later, James Douglas knocked Mike out.

This was the big mistake. Cus D'Amato loved Rooney and taught Kevin everything he knew. In my opinion, Kevin was a far better trainer than Teddy Atlas. If Mike had listened to the right people, I'd say there was a good chance he could've retired undefeated. And if he gave up the thug life that Don King helped perpetuate, he'd still have gobs of cash, be widely respected, and his life wouldn't be the train wreck it is now.
