I am in no way partners with Isaac in that venture. I think it is a good idea, and will help him out, but I have nothing to gain.  There will be no advertisements from companies, that isnt what text messaging is for. There will be a 'Brought to you by Muscletech or so' which is fine with me. The title of the thread was changed because I dont like caps in threads, and it is an attack instead of a discussion.

I was born many yesterdays ago. What does naive mean?

Discuss and debate ok. But that is crap. Learn to discuss, and stop with the gay this and that.

I have unlimited text messaging so I am thankful MusclePhone is a free service : ).

Isaac made sure to let everyone know that standard text messaging rates apply if you dont have unlimited texts on your cell plan...

It's a slang term from the hills of western North Carolina.

I believe it means, "he who wears coke-bottle glasses".
Ron: "I am lazy."

Information is being sold??? Are you high???

Next you will tell me that information is being sold here on Getbig too??? Because I have some banners on the main page. It is called 'getting sponsors' to help pay for the expenses.

Placing banners on a message board, Ron, is your right and people who come here know and expect the ads to be there.  There's nothing hidden about that.

Issac on the other hand failed to mention or acknowledge the additional the there would be advertisements in the text messages or that it was possible that they may receive separate ads from the companies.

People have a right to know what they are actually getting especially when it comes to text message advertising.

One more thing, I would have been more polite about it but I didn't have any option after Special Ed's post about the same thing was deleted and moved immediately.

Simply put, Issac needs to put that information on his website as a lot of people really frown on text message advertisements.

Regardless of what you say Ron, in a court of law, its selling text message advertising to supplement companies without their knowledge

I'm not selling anyone's phone numbers and accusing me of such is a crock of shit. Trying to undermine a business with false accusations can land your redneck ass in court.

ron,

i wouldn't be suprised if you think jay cutler actually uses muscletech products simply because he says so.

I'm used to dealing with legal issues in one form or another, and from what I can tell you didn't say anything illegal.  You seemed to justify your point of view quite well.  Plus, wasn't it more of a general thrust in pointing out Isaac may be selling your information, and not you actually coming out and saying that?

OK... here we go... prove it. Prove that Isaac sold one cell phone to a supplement company. You wrote the statement. Go ahead. Back it up.

Of the years, people have told me that I gave my e-mail list, and more out. It is bull. I don't do it. No one has ever proved I did.

So go ahead, make a statement like that, and I am taking you up on it.

Proove it, back it up that Musclephone sold cell numbers to supplement companies.

Ron, I don't think you would like for me to prove it.  I've already let Issac know about his other activities that he's been doing as well.

Actually, you made the statements.  Back it up.

Since I have Musclephone, I know your two statements are not true.

Once again, prove it or recant it. Or goodbye.

You decide.  I am not keen on false accusations. You have made some incredible ones in the past, but since I know this isnt true, it is up to you.

Ok, here's the very first post I made in this thread again:

I was wondering why Issac started this "free" service for and I knew good and well that it wasn't out of the goodness of his heart.

Well folks, I decided to examine it and apparantly Issac is actually going to make a lot of money from this and hears why.  Below is the Terms and Conditions of using the Musclephone service and I have highlighted the area of concern:

By texting in, you are subscribing to a text alert subscription. Standard text messaging fees and other charges may apply. You may stop this service at any time by sending a text message with the word STOP, END, or QUIT to 64274. Your phone must have text messaging capabilities. You must be the owner of this device and either be at least sixteen years old or have the permission of your parent or guardian. The service is currently only available in the United States. We value your privacy and will not share your information outside the Muscle Phone Network.

Now this highlighted may not mean much until you read about "The Muscle Phone Network.

THE MUSCLE PHONE NETWORK: We're currently building the Muscle Phone Network to include the industry's best media outlets and businesses. If you're interested in becoming part of the Muscle Phone Network and how you can benefit email us for more information.

Essentially Issac now has a list of the numbers of people interested in health and fitness and is in a great position to sell targeting advertising to health and fitness companies who agree to sign on to the "Muscle Phone Network".

Eventually, you'll receive the gossip and news..... Roll Eyes  But you'll also be receiving advertisements from those on the Muscle Phone Network

One more thing, Sprayflex is a member of the Muscle Phone Network........hope you enjoy those ads Grin

Great job Issac, I didn't think you could sink so low.  Selling text message advertising to companies.  How pathetic...... Cheesy

Other than your edits, Ron, its pretty clear as to what I said.

Oh and by the way Issac, if you decide to sue you'll have to do it without the "so called evidence of this thread".

Since Ron has edited the title of my thread, its considered altered information and cannot be admitted in any civil court case......

Whoops, I guess you'll have to find another bloody glove or sock..... ;D

Ron in all fairness the 2nd statement you chose is a bit selective isnt it ?

heres what he actually said :

Issac on the other hand failed to mention or acknowledge the additional the there would be advertisements in the text messages or that it was possible that they may receive separate ads from the companies

The 1st half of his statement above says he thinks Isaac sold ad space on his text service (which im starting to believe, which isnt a bad thiNG or wrong)

while the 2nd half above states the he thinks maayyyybe that its possible otherwise that ppl may recieve seperate ads - hes not sure about this...this isnt his sole argument, he`s assuming ,not claiming

so whats up  WILL THERE OR WONT THERE BE ADS ON THE TEXT SERVICE ATTACHED TO THE NEWS AND GOSSIP???

Selling sponsored content is very different than selling numbers. Someone's number will never be given to anyone, which Vince is saying is/will take place. Simply not true. Could there be discounts to muscle phone subscribers for magazines, store purchases, supplements and other things? Yes, it is possible however the numbers have not nor will they ever be given out to anyone.

No one is forcing anyone to sign up for this. If you don't like it don't sign up. If you sign up and don't like it opt out. Hundreds of people have signed up and the number of people who have opted out are lower than Vince's IQ. This tells me people like the service and the only complaint I get is why isn't there more news being sent out.

Don't even bother Rampage, there's nothing Issac can do to me.  He's been busted.....again.

Sort of like the time you did that shit to Kamali's website and posted that he didn't pay his bill for everyone to see.

It's entirely possible that Lift has agreed to include 'this message brought to you by x-powder company' in text messages sent out by his service WITHOUT having given anyone's information to the company itself.

When a television advertiser pays to support a network broadcast into millions of homes, they don't get the personal information of every viewer who watches a particular show.  This is the same concept.

That said, I do not know how Lift is financing or generating revenue with his Musclephone service, but I DO know that he is not going to lie about something like that when his professional reputation is on the line.  He might sugarcoat things from time-to-time when protecting certain individuals, but when it comes to his business, he's as straight as they come.  Musclephone might be very gay  ;D, but Lift is a straight-shooter.

Musclephone Files Chapter 11!
« Reply #74 on: March 31, 2008, 07:27:34 PM »
Apparently all the negative press has taken its toll, as Musclephone was forced by its creditors to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection today. After Melvin Goodrum broke news about the sinister plot to profit from people's personal information, Musclephone stock slid down and the cancellations started rolling in. By day's end, Musclephone was in such poor financial condition that its owners were considering selling off the remaining assets for a Dave & Buster's $10 Card. It's a sad day in bodybuilding when a Schmoe can't make a living doing what he loves.

RIP Musclephone!
