What's the point of Dave doing or imagining doing that type of weight when all he will ever acheive is a max 18" arm?
henry is one of the samllest top pro's 130'lb overhead with one arm is ridiculous. i dont think i could do more than 45lb
There was a video of David henry doing one arm tricep extensions with at least 120lb dumbell. Range of motion wasn't that great but it was impressive.
I would say 18 inch arms are pretty big. Althoguh the most important ting with arms are their shape! even 20+ inch arms can look like garbage if there is no real shape to the lateral head of the tricep, and small forearms
I just think that ridiculous weight doesn't build great triceps. Muscles like quads and shoulders respond to heavy ass weight. Look at Evan Centopani or Phil Heath who probably have the best tris of any pros. I bet they never go over 60 lbs for 1 arm behind head ext.
It was on Chadnicholls.net.
Did Ron once told the Story about that guy Douch"ain" who he went up to him one day said show me your arm and than injected him with something? Oh no wait that was Polumbo I called him out over at MD, my argument was simply that NOBODY in wold would just simply hold his arm still while somebody unexpectedly injects you with some unknown substance... utter Bullshit story
then they're full of shit.
I saw the video. Heres the thread. http://www.musclemayhem.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5950
still calling bullshit.
I respond alot better to light weights, sure i may get laughed at or whatever in the gym but it works for me.
John "Dirt Diggler" Romano once made that claim too. Doucheaine supposedly walked up to him a few years back and just injected him with Lasix. I'd like to believe that nobody would be so stupid as to let someone just randomly shoot shit into their bodies like that, but again, this is Romano we're talking about.
Me too. Nothing beats actually squeezing when moving weight. Heavy is relative and as along as your making progress who cares. Plenty of guys flat bench more than I do (My highest is 275 for 6-8) but their chest development is no better than mine.
It was Romano who said that about Duchaine injecting him with Nubaine. It may have been slightly exaggerated the incident but largely true probably. I mean Romano was a Nubain addict for 3 years according to himself.Did you hear Zumpano talk about Duchaine on No Bull radio? Seems there were a lot of casualties to Duchaine's experimenting.
most people don't, i don't even do uprights but i know i couldn't do 200, that's a lot of weight for that movement.
hahahahahhaha, 405 pound upright row, that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard, can you imagine even attempting that?
I've never listened to that program, but yeah, Doucheaine was definitely a black eye to the industry.
