We ALL should be paying about 1/2 as much as we do.

If Americans didn't have to give so much to the IRS, we'd save more, be in less debt, be more self-reliant, etc.

While i don't live in America, in Australia if the majority (85%+) didn't pay so much tax they would spend it on material things, and then since they thought they'd have more money coming in, spend even more money on credit than they do now.

They would end up in more debt and probably fuck the economy up even more as since they are earning more money, feel they can work less and make us less of an economic force.

This is the same as Robert Downey Jr. being jailed for substance use.  The US government needs to make examples of people in power on occasion to manipulate the thinking of the sheep - in this case, the purpose is to show that people in power get punished to, or that punishing people who break the rules is viable to begin with.  Of course that is not reality, but we live in a Wizard of Oz world.

You can get away with alot in the usa but try evading taxes and you will loose. I overlooked a minimal amount once and I got a letter to pay up. Happens, pay your taxes!!

I did a website for one of the country most versed experts on not paying taxes.  Irwin Schiff.  The government hates this guy.  He would go around and be an expert witness in court cases and get the people off from having to pay taxes.  He would offer $100,000 to anyone who could show where it says you as an individual had to pay income tax.  there is no law anywhere that says that.  People get in trouble because they lie on their tax forms.
