For one thing if you kill the dollar you kill half the world, it is in the best interest for the entire world for the dollar to be strong.  If your a regular Joe Blow Chinaman having a weak dollar is great, you can get more American products, however if your Giantico Corporation and all of a sudden you cant sale anything to America, not so good. 

Weaker dollars also causes the murderous gas prices..

I think the Fed should have kept the money supply tighter by not cutting the fed funds rate. No economist here or anything.

What the IDIOTS don't realize is this is the US government way of finally putting the nail in the coffin which destroys america. Adding all of this money to the economy by printing BILLIONS of dollars and then handing it to the public to spread only reduces the value of the already falling dollar by that much more. As it stands now the dollar is worthless...soon people will be throwing it into furaces like the Polish, Germans, Hungarian etc did when their money collapsed. This is the most simple minded thing to do when a  country is already in a recession and fast heading for a DEPRESSION... but then again that was and is the BUSH ADMINISTRATIONS goal. Bankrupt the country, then try to revive it after first getting control over all agencies, companies and industries. The 1929 maneuver will not work in 2008...It's over folks...enjoy your money...THE SOUP LINES AWAIT.

  I dislike the Bush administration as much as the next guy but unfortunately the amount of money that will be injected into the system is negligible and will not affect inflation or hasten the collapse of the dollar directly.  As i said before the money will probably be used by most people on bills and not services and goods.  I do agree with some of what your saying but in the contact of the overall economic strategy of this administration.  Conservative economic policy is based on the premise of bleeding the beast,  "bankrupting the government", in order to  privatized services  that the government would normally handle involvement so in a sense I agree with what your saying.  There are a lot of ways of doing this such underfunding programs and poor administration.  Later they use this as examples of why the government shouldn't be trusted with anything.
  Back to the original point, I do not believe the coming government handout will effect the economy positively or adversely.   The problems with the United States economy are structural and if your not going to address the infrastructure than the problems are going to persist.

Hopefully at the next meeting they will keep the rates steady and the dollar will start to climb.  Especially since I'm taking my rebate to Ireland in June, the dollar-eruo exchange rate is killing me.  If it even climbs by a nickle should save me over 100 dollars.  Thats alot of extra pints.

No its not Rob, golf is an individual sport based on scoring with no judges involved. Bodybuilding is judged. You don't see many contraversial decisions in Golf do you? Either you win in less strokes than you opponant or you don't....simple as that!
