IQ is unrelated to "smart", really. it just refers to the ability of the brain to work with information. if you're poor as dirt but have a high IQ you're still going to piss on the street and eat out of the garbage, you'll just be extra miserable about it.

that's why a five year old who lives at home in a trailer and has never been inside a library can have a 190 IQ, it's a measure of brainpower, not information known.

Exactly.

There is another map on Wiki similar to that one that shows the IQ of the indigenous peoples of an area. So, a white American would look to Europe, a Japanese American would look to Japan, a black American would look to Africa, etc. While individuals of any race (including blacks) can be extremely intelligent, as a group blacks are dumb as dirt. Blame slavery if you want, but the real reason blacks form the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder in America 150 years later is that as a group they aren't any smarter than their cousins in Africa.

Way over generalized. I'd like to see a test the measures ability to learn rather than how much is already learned. If you come from a dirt poor country you are likely to bust your ass in school.

Me? None I wasn't rich or poor but have graduated college and am in my career of choice. Poverty and uneducation are every where but I think most people in the US have the option of getting beyond it but are too lazy or dumb to do it.
