David Jacobs and Amanda Savell now Officially considered a Double Homicide

David Jacobs, a convicted steroids dealer who recently told NFL officials that he gave steroids to players, was found dead in his home today.

Jacobs, who had implicated NFL player Matt Lehr (pictured) as one of the people he gave steroids, was found dead along with a woman identified as his ex-girlfriend, Amanda Jo Earhart-Savell. A gun was also found at the home. Earhart-Savell's parents found the bodies.

A local TV news station reports that police said the deaths were considered a double homicide. The station also reports that Earhart-Savell's MySpace Profile lists her as an International Federation of Body Building and Fitness professional and a fitness model.

Jacobs was sentenced to three years' probation last month for his role in a steroid-distribution ring. He had been cooperating with law enforcement.

Savell worked as a fitness model.  Photos of her have appeared in several national fitness and bodybuilding publications.

Plano Police say they are not searching for any suspects, and other law enforcement officials said they are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.

Officers carried several brown paper bags out of the house Thursday morning, according to CBS news station KTVT-TV.  When asked if they had found any steroids in the house, police said they were still trying to determine that.

Police also say they confiscated mail from Jacobs' house.

Five min after story broke here, 240 was the first one not to immediately climb on the "dave was a jerk" bandwagon until all the facts came out.  What we had this morning was what everyone 'thought' before the police had said a single word.

Murder/Suicide when the guy was about to make a million bucks ratting out which NFL millionaires he gave drugs to?

I hope the police do their job investigating this scene...

Not only that, but some people accused me of being CT, or a conspiracy theorist, for wondering if it was something other than suicide.  Um, there is NO official story at this time, other than the one John Romano pieced together.  It's insulting that people just assume anyone who would prefer see all the facts before making the judgment, it a conspiracy theorist.  Until there is an official story, ALL YOU HAVE ARE THEORIES.  What Romano reported was a THEORY.  There are currently two conflicting stories being reported.

Don't be a close-minded tool.  Keep an open mind, and try not to close the case before the police even do.

Exactly! Everyone likes to jump on the bandwagon and blame this David guy. Maybe he did shoot her maybe he didn't. If anyone here knows for sure then I suggest they get on the phone to the Plano police department and let them know all the details.   As far as the comments about Amanda being with David, most guys are just jealous that he was bangin her and not them. No one here would give a rats ass if she was ugly.

Yeah, that question has to be asked, I'm afraid.  Either she or someone acting at her behest recently posted that she was no longer involved with him. 

That only compounds this senseless tragedy.

you are assuming she went there of her own volition.  possible yes and possibly not.
