How can you say that with certainty?
A lot of shit indicates otherwise.
You have to look at all countries and not just the US. Many ethnic countries around the world have low crime rates as well.
Its also a matter of living standard. The US doesn't provide health insurance or education tuition for everyone while many other countries do.
There are countries like Denmark that take almost 40% of your earnings out of your pay however all education in Denmark is free.
Here's my ideas for a better nation. I introduce the Goodrum Way
1. Abolish the welfare system or make the people collect it do some work. No-one deserves to get free money. If they don't want to work then they should starve to death in an alley.
2. Ratify affirmative action. It is now an outdated system that does more harm to folks like me who actually studied and worked hard in school and college. There should an even playing field for everyone and Darwin's theory will separate it
3. Abolish lethal injections as its not really punishing anyone. Instead I recommend the Islamic style punishment that will make people think twice about breaking the law and raping and molesting kids and etc. This includes public stonings and beheadings. I wouldn't even mind building a Roman-eque coliseum where criminals can be fed to the lions. It should also be televised as seeing a rapist getting ripped to shredded wheat is "Must See TV".
4. Legalize but regulate drugs including steroids to be issued by a doctor. By making drugs legal, drug dealers go out of business immediately.
