How about standing up for the promoter of the NPC USA.  He spent years building up his event and takes a huge risk every year to continue with hosting the event.  Why should he have to deal with someone trying to pull the rug out from under him. 

I would not have had a problem with his event if it wasn't on the same fucking weekend and same venue as the USA's.

Dear Athletes and Officials,

After receiving several death threads within the last month and other series of negative things that have
what happened to us,we decided after carefully deliberating,to cancel the show. We do not take this lightly because we care about the Athletes but our personal safety is more important. Not only our personal safety, but as well of the participants. We consultat several people about our problem and finaly came to this dicision. I know I will loose our face over this and we put already $40000 in this show, which we will never get back but we still have our lives. No Bodybuilding show is worth to put your family or Athletes in danger.

All entry fees and ticket fees will be returned within 10 days.

My reputation is a lot better then Ben's.  Ben's lying about the show cost people a lot of money in non-refundable airline tickets and hasn't paid back all the competitors for their entrance fes.

I was rooting for him to pull it off, but at the same time, I was always skeptical of the cash he kept talking about.  If he'd never mentioned the exhorbitant prize money, this would be a total non-issue.

Ben clearly lied about the prize money and proceeded to mislead competitors and then 3 weeks from the event he cancels it.

A lot of competitors now have non-refundable airline tickets and hotel accommodations which is problably around 2k apiece.   

Ben needs to take responsibility for his actions for the scam he pulled.
