I have a buddy who graduated last year, makes $85k a year working 40 hours a week in the leadership program for an insurance company here in Connecticut. He saves $20k a year easily. Been out of school a year. I'm reckon by the time he's 28 or so he'll be saving more.

Deicide couldn't do that out of college so he ran to Korea and blames America for it. The guy refuses to blame himself for his failures.

Either way I'm not sure what the fuss is about.  The facts are simple.  US citizens are saving the least since the great depression.  If you live in an lower cost of living situation, you'll be able to save more than others.  Pretty basics shit here.  I don't know what the controversy is over.

Your entire thesis is based on the false conclusion that I left the USA because I couldn't save money there; but when I left for Korea I had been living in Europe for nigh ten years. I left the USA because it didn't coincide with my intellectual interests. I left Europe because it was easier to save here than there and I am going back to Europe very soon because I love the lifestyle, the history, the women and a host of other things. I still think this whole argument is silly.  Why not reduce this to the simple facts and be done?  It's true, today he'll more likely be able to save in a lower cost of living situation.  If this is only about the late 90's then it's also true, he shouldn't have a hard time, if he works hard to be able to sock away 20k a year. All of this really means jack.  The only thing I see that really matters is that Americans today are saving the least amount since the Great Depression.  The rest is relative.

Hahahaha! Like my Iraq point of view, this zionism thing cracks me up. It is what it is. Israel isn't going anywhere without taking 3/4 of the Middle East with them. To be honest, this world functions on war. I feel that whatever land is earned through war is yours. Israel fought off 1/2 a dozen countries to stay in that land. As far as I'm concerned it's theirs.
